$14.95 | Fish & Chips - English style batter dipped cod fish fillets

July 2025 | Pricing Discrepancy Of all the spots we've visited this summer in OCMD, Dumser's showed the steepest price hike from last year. To add to that, the in-store pricing didn't match what's advertised online. While the food was solid, the portions didn't justify the cost, definitely making us reconsider a return for summer 2026. Fish & Chips were listed at $16.95 online but rang up at $18.95. Same story with the Hot Turkey Platter. Thankfully, the taste held up, and the ice cream is still top notch, no complaints there. Dumser's, please align your pricing. Preferably with what's advertised.

Anytime I'm in OC, I'm hitting up Dumser's. This location was conveniently located directly across the street from our AirBNB! I was finally able to dine inside. Such a cute spot. The bar area was so cute and welcoming, but we sat at a booth to devour our brownie sundae! We were able to make adjustments to the menu combinations, getting 2 different flavors of ice cream and adding various toppings! They also had bottomless coffee and I got my money's worth!! The menus double as an activity sheet for kids, but it was also so great for me! Great and friendly service. I'll definitely be back.

Booo wanted to love Dumsers based on all the recommendations and reviews but didn't really get the hype. We stopped in after dinner so used the to-go window. The flavors were a bit lack luster in terms of variety but definitely covered the classics. Unfortunately for me when I ordered a 2 scoop cup, I didn't realize how large the size was and so much melted into a goop/was wasted. It also seemed like I had large bits of green colored mint ice cream inside of my ice cream, kind of like the scooper wasn't cleaned in between flavors. My partners banana milkshake was so thick nothing was coming up in the straw so we had to go the spoon route lol but he said it was tasty and not very banana forward. They're quick working but the young lady helping us could not have appeared more annoyed. Maybe just not the best night we stopped into Dumser!

    Delicious crushed cookie topped sundae

We were in OC on a rainy day and the family wanted ice cream and Dumser's was perfect because it had indoor seating. This place has a cheery old soda fountain atmosphere. The Server was very friendly and provided excellent service even though we only ordered ice cream treats. We had a delicious banana split, the peanut butter sundae and a couple crushed cookie sundaes. The lunch food looked good. We will definitely come back.

Just popping back in to remind you that I love Dumsers ice cream and the love has only gotten greater with time.

( review from the summer ) A tradition of quality and freshness has been established since the first batch was made in 1939. Dumsers ice cream is sold within hours of its manufacture and only the highest quality ingredients are used in there custom homemade ice cream recipes. Family owned and operated. They have a huge sitting area outside or you can come inside and sit, you go to the register and we ordered our favorite ice cream sundews which were delicious. Service was friendly and welcoming. This is another place on our list that we will stop by when we go back on vacation to OC.

Dumser's slaps every single time. I got the cone filled with delectable butter pecan ice cream. It dripped pleasantly down my arm. The chocolate dip took this cone to the next level. The biggest plus was they forgot to give me my credit card back after swiping. The up side is they mailed it to me in a very timely manner. I was very grateful as the ice cream was delicious and they mailed me my card. Super duper satisfied.

I've been coming to Dumser's for nearly three decades. What can I say? It's an Ocean City staple. Superior soft-serve, milkshakes, sundaes, and soda floats. All of the Dumser's locations have great character, nostalgically charming ambiance, and great service--whether you're stopping by for a quick treat, or looking for a sit-down. It's enjoyable for people of all ages. If you're looking for an ice cream fix, look no further!

We had visited Dumser's after dinner and this was definitely the spot to go to for ice cream! There was quite a bit of a line but the wait was not too bad! They have multiple windows to order from. They have a menu showing their hard ice cream and soft serve flavors. There were also options for ordering sundaes, milkshakes, sodas, malts, and floats. We ordered a vanilla soft serve with rainbow sprinkles, coffee ice cream, strawberry ice cream, and vanilla with strawberry topping. So refreshing and a great sweet treat for after dinner. Great flavor options! Must visit when in Ocean City!!

    Super Sundae

Amazing!! So good a must try when you're in Ocena City. We got the super Sundae ( which in fact is super large ) and a waffle cone that we forgot to take a photo of. Service was quick, the person that took our order was nice no complaints at all. And it was pretty quick for a Saturday night.

    Peanut Butter Supreme

I was impressed by this place. We weren't looking for anything extravagant when we came here, and this place delivered. Think old school malt shop, complete with counter, and you got this place down. I'm not quite sure what this place was beforehand, but the inside has an old school vibe. We looked this place up before we showed up and did a quick once over of the menu, so when we were seated it didn't take us long to place an order. It's simple food, but hits the spot if you want a filling meal. First were the drinks, these were some of the crispest drinks that I have had. I don't know if it was because of the large glasses. Or if this is kind of a nostalgic walk down to dinerville. Or if it was the ice. That crunchy ice that everyone goes crazy for. The cheeseburger and fries were not the star of this place. Not because it wasn't appetizing or seasoned incorrectly. But because this place is known for ice cream. We went through the meal. The burger was big, seasoned fine. Topped how you like. The fries were you run of the mill, crinkle cut fries But what I really wanted was the ice cream. I got the peanut butter supreme. This, if you crave peanut butter, will definitely satisfy your craving. Healthy scoops of ice cream and then is it topped with peanut butter sauce, Reese's pieces, hot fudge, and whipped cream. Top it with a cherry and it is served to you in a sundae cup that seems like it is towering over the top. Each bite of it you definitely have peanut butter bliss. When you mixed every flavor in the dish you have a wonderful sweet tooth pleaser in your mouth. In the warmer months you have a great place to go for some ice cream and then head to the beach. In the cooler month it is a nice place to take in a sweet treat.

Strawberry shortcake with no strawberries. WTF!!

Not the best in OCMD. Wasn't crowded and were seated quickly. Problem came when the service started. The server brought waters and took our order. Wife got the strawberry shortcake Sunday but when it arrived there were no strawberries on it. There was some strawberry goo, but no strawberries. How does that happen? Maybe our expectations were too high when we expected fresh cut strawberries on a strawberry shortcake. Even so....no strawberry-like chunks or anything. Just strawberry goo. For the steep price, expected much more. Had to go up to the counter to express my concern since our server disappeared. They made an attempt to make it right and made us a new one with some strawberry-like chunks in the goo, but completely underwhelming. Server came back to our table twice after that and I never got a refill on my water which was clearly empty on the edge of the table. Better ice cream places in OCMD for the money. Recommend you go elsewhere. We won't be back.

Hot Fudge Sundae with Oreo Crush Ice Cream
    Michelle M.

Dumser's Dairyland is a cute ice cream spot in Ocean City. They specialize in ice cream sundaes, ice cream floats and milkshakes that are made with their homemade ice cream. The restaurant also serves casual diner fare for lunch and dinner. The prices are a tad higher than I would have expected. We chose to dine inside during our visit and the service was super friendly and prompt. I thought my hot fudge sundae was pretty average and didn't see anything else on the menu that I would have ordered instead. If you're looking for a nostalgic treat this place will deliver, but this wasn't my favorite ice cream spot in Ocean City.

We were set on getting the salmon and the swordfish dishes which we did, and it did not disappoint! They were the most delicious dishes I had experienced in a long time. I asked about the seasoning on the salmon and the waitress, who was fabulous, said it was Moroccan. I loved the hint of cinnamon but according to the Moroccan spice I looked at on the web, it is a combination of numerous spices which amounts to a delicious combination of flavors. Both dishes were paired perfectly with their sides and sauces. I have never left a review about a restaurant before. This will be one of my few unforgettable meals. If dining inside, bring a sweater. They don't skimp on their air-conditioning. It was a cool night so we ate outside which was nice, but what made it nicer was our wonderful waitress, Fanika(?), who had the most awesome, helpful, outgoing personality that makes a dining experience that much better. Our main motivation for visiting was to see Jordan and Cowan, both of whom previously worked at Off The Hook in Bethany Beach. Jordan noticed us first and came over to say hello and share an update, and Cowan followed shortly after to do the same. I enjoyed two Sazeracs on the rocks for $10 each; unique to Hooked, this iconic New Orleans cocktail is a spirit-forward blend of Elijah Craig rye whiskey, aromatic bitters, a sugar cube, and an absinthe rinse, finished with a bright lemon twist. We also shared the happy hour wood-fired grilled oysters Reggiano with butter, garlic, blackening parmesan cheese, and salt for $19, though they tasted very salty. Additionally, I had the happy hour lobster roll on a toasted buttered brioche roll for $21, substituting the french fries with a side of coleslaw. It tasted quite similar to the lobster roll at Off The Hook in Bethany Beach. I finished my meal with a happy hour draft Evo Lot 3 beer for $6. Our bartender, Jon L., served us very well throughout the visit. The total bill was $128 excluding gratuity, which featured a 3% credit card surcharge of $3.57. After applying a $50 gift letter discount, the final bill was reduced down to $81. We all agreed that we will certainly return to visit Jordan and Cowan again.

The Chef looks familiar, I think I tasted his food before at one of the Celebrity Chefs Brunches for Meals on Wheels. I remember it being fantastic. There is outside dining but I booked inside as we weren't sure how warm it would be in May. It turned out to be a cold and windy weekend so we were very glad to be inside, plus the outside tables have a view of the highway. What a cute little restaurant inside; it is very tiny. We were crammed into a table in the corner. It was difficult to get past the other diners at their tables, and we could hear all the conversations around us. Every table was packed, I can't imagine what it's like in this room during the busy summer. Noelle was our server and she was amazing; very knowledgeable and friendly. She described the homemade bread service to us, and we ordered 2 Coastalpolitans which were made with Tito's Vodka, lime, soju, St. Germaine, and cranberry. They were sweet, and tart, and bright, and delicious. We decided on crab toast instead of the bread, and Noelle said we made the right choice. Wow, she was correct. The crab toast blew us away. It was chunks of crab on fluffy, crispy milk bread with pickled scallions, radish, lemon aioli, kelp powder, and lime. So beautiful and so delectable! RJ ordered the Pork Chop, which Noelle said One Coastal is known for, and I ordered the NJ Day Boat Scallops. We had no words. We sat there and quietly enjoyed every bite while listening to the surrounding tables, and knew we found a maybe not so hidden gem. My scallops were delicate and buttery and sweet, and melted in my mouth. RJ said his pork chop was tender and juicy, and the best he ever had. That is saying something. We finished with bread pudding because who doesn't love a good bread pudding, and we like to try it whenever we see one that looks interesting. It was salty and sweet and just so perfect. What One Coastal lacks in space and view, it makes up for with food and service. What a delightful place, and Noelle was a pleasure and a joy. We will definitely return to try all the other things and be lucky to sit anywhere inside or out.

I ordered the beef and chicken kabob combo. The meat was nicely cooked, delicious sliced, and arrived still warm enough not to have to reheat in the microwave. It was served over deliciously flavored rice, a small bit of salad in the side, and a few small pieces of soft pita bread. My wife ordered the salmon kabob combo. It was comprised of two decent sized pieces of nicely cooked fish coated in Mediterranean spices. It was also served over rice with a small side salad and a few pieces of pita bread. We also ordered the crumb cake and the Greek jam tart. The crumb cake was a good sized piece for the price, and delicious. The jam tart was quite possibly my favorite part of the entire meal.
