A month later I had to have the tooth pulled. First one ever. I take good care of my teeth and spend close to $5000.00 trying to saving this one. When the new endo examined it, he told me that it had degraded so much he could see the gutta percha, (the filling material). Then everything made sense. I am extremely allergic to latex, which is what gutta percha is, rubber. When the first root canal was done she went through the root tip and then packed in the gutta percha which came in contact with my tissue. Pain and inflammation were the allergic reaction! I could have kept my tooth and a lot of time and money if the first one had been done correctly. My original review stands. Run don't walk away from these people.

I called that clinic and scheduled an appointment for the next day, but later learned they did not accept my insurance and that the procedure would cost $2,000 out of pocket. I told them I would try to find another endodontist who accepted my insurance and would get back to them. I then called Metropolitan Endodontics and asked whether they accepted BCBS. I was told they did, but that I would need to pay the full $2,500 upfront and would be reimbursed after insurance paid them. Based on that information, I scheduled an appointment for a few days later and canceled my appointment with the first clinic. I had the procedure done at Metropolitan Endodontics, and they did a great job. I paid in full using the Cherry plan, which covered the full amount upfront with no interest for one year. I expected this would give me time to receive the insurance reimbursement and then pay my portion later. I was surprised when my insurance company sent me a notification stating that Metropolitan Endodontics was out of network and had paid only $251.74. When I called Metropolitan Endodontics, I was initially told that I had not been told they accepted my insurance and that my bill was already paid in full. I explained that Cherry had paid the bill because I was told full payment was required, and I reiterated that I had been told they accepted my insurance. The representative put me on hold to review the recorded call and then confirmed that I had been told they accepted my insurance. She said someone from accounting would call me back after speaking with my insurance company, but I never received a call. I tried calling again, reached voicemail, and still did not receive a response. At minimum, I believe they should have charged me the $2,000 that the first clinic would have charged for the same procedure. Don't bother doing business with a company that can't deal with you honestly up front. I would not have gone there had I known. They couldn't even treat me with respect and call me back. Cheryl C

(Free). Walking in the receptionist was very warm and welcoming. I was very nervous since it has been so long. I never felt judged once. I was brought back for my cleaning and the woman who cleaned my teeth was wonderful! She talked me through everything and made me feel so comfortable! Despite not going to the dentist for almost two decades, I only had one cavity! They looked at all the options and worked to save the tooth. You can tell they care about their patients and not just wanting to make a quick buck! Because they have all been so amazing, I now have both of my children and my boyfriend there as well! I always feel well cared for when we go here. Covid info: everyone is wearing masks, waiting area is 6ft apart, hand sanitizer when you walk in the building and again when you walk in the clinic.

She told me "please sign at the bottom" agreeing that I EXPLAINED it to you, then let's talk about your next appointment." I said "I'm not comfortable signing because I don't want to go ahead with the procedure." She said "you're just signing agreeing I EXPLAINED it to you, not that you agree to pay and have it done." I said " that's not what the contract says." What if I believed her and signed, chose not to have the procedure done, and then noticed months later a $937 charge on my card? Could I later go back and say "she told me I was just signing agreeing that she EXPLAINED it to me, NOT to pay for the procedure?" They'd say "well, you signed it, so you're screwed." Luckily this didn't happen because I didn't sign, but I had another business scam me like this (Anytime Fitness) and they denied telling me that. The lesson is ALWAYS read what you sign and never trust what they tell you verbally. I can't prove this was the intent but it makes me VERY suspicious. No matter how great their service, this completely ruins it for me.
