I've got friends in the northern suburbs that rave about this place. It wasn't terrible, but I wouldn't go on my own. It's pricey for what it is. Gwinnett has several facilities practically identical to the amenities offered for half the price, the difference is a lack of hot concessions in Gwinnett. You can't bring in your own food here, you're stuck with their mediocre options. All greasy, salty, cheap. One of the upsides is that the outdoor pool opens at a reasonable time, 10am. read more

Food options are horrible. A bit disappointing with considering they will not allow you to bring your own food. If you need to get people to eat from your concession, at least offer healthier options for kids. No veggies, no fruits, not juices... only corn dogs, chips and a few other things. Group fitness classes are fun and are able to be as challenging as you want to make them. There are all age ranges from 12-99 in some classes and it's not intimidating regardless of fitness level. They do provide mats but they are well-used so you can always bring your own. The fitness center is very well equipped and I've never seen it crowded which is very nice! Also, they keep it relatively cool in there. The warm water pool for fitness classes has so much chorine that you'll smell like it for 2-3 days no matter how many showers with soap or perfume or scented lotion you use- my daughter has blonde hair and it did turn it green (which she thought was cool thanks to Billie Eilish). People who work there and go there for classes and the gym are SO FRIENDLY. Again, it's not intimidating whatsoever! Also, reasonably priced for in-county memberships. read more

Thunderstorm came in and everyone had to come inside. While I appreciate wanting everyone safe. As soon as everyone was inside the manager on duty started locking all the bathrooms with people in them. He was extremely rude. The lifeguards on duty were nice. Everyone else but the manager on duty was wonderful. Food is overpriced. read more

Love this place! They have a great 10 lane lap pool & a "warm" pool for Seniors. I work 1.5 miles from the facility & swim laps there 2-3 times a week. You'll need to pay attention to the availability of the lap pool, as High School's use it after 3:45PM & we're down to 2 laps lanes. The locker room is small but clean. They showers are plentiful & well maintained. Not a lotta bells & whistles, but great for a 50 lap serious workout! read more

This is a fun and family friendly water park with two big water slides, a kitty area with a little water slide, lazy River, and a Whirl pool. It also has snacks and snow cones and ice cream! I took my 3, 5, 7, 9, and 15 year old there and they all enjoyed it. So if your looking for a fun place to go on a hot day I would recommend it. And if it starts to rain run inside to the indoor pool with a diving bored. They have life jackets if you need to borrow one to. So if you are looking for a fun and family friendly place to go i would recommend this place! read more

They put waaaay too much chlorine in the pools so unless you want to burn your eyes and have blurry vision for days don't go here. YMCA is where it's at! read more

The aquatic center is not very large but sports two well-maintained indoor pools. One heated and one cool water. The locker rooms are small but seem to be maintained well too. It's definitely a small scale facility and doesn't have much in the way of bells and whistles. It's not a gym and doesn't have workout equipment although they do offer some "dry land" fitness classes like Zumba in addition to water sports. They also have a great outdoor splash zone that kids enjoy. So far I have really just used this facility for lap swims, and I pay per visit ($2.14 for Hall County residents) because at only once or twice a week that is still cheaper than the annual water pass ($175 + tax). They also offer a more expensive version that includes the dry land classes. Anyhow for what this facility is, it does it well. If you're looking for a fancy place with bells and whistles though, keep looking. read more

From the view of a 5 year old: Frances Meadows is my favorite place! I like it better than Lake Lanier Islands because you don't have to walk around so much! The pools are right next to each other! (The exclamation marks are serious excitement!) They have a park too! That park is AWESOME! The slide is too big for me to go down because I'm too short, but I'm getting taller now! From the view of an adult: It's cheap! If you live in the area and you have children, Frances Meadows is the place to go! I wouldn't travel very far to go there. Went there to observe a team practice for our school team. It was chaotic--crowded, with what looked like 4 or 5 teams, and then I saw an older, single man, not apparently associated with the teams, swimming in a center lane. There were probably 50 kids in there, but I only saw one guard on the stand, for the whole 2 hours. I wanted to go sit in the stands to watch my friend, but within a few minutes, my eyes started burning and I started to get a headache. I'm not an expert, so I won't speculate on why this happened. I hope this was an exception, and not the way things are usually run, but it makes me wonder if they are so intent on getting the money from the rentals that they sacrifice the safety of our kids. I plan to go back another time, I will post when I do. read more

I was pleasntly surprised. .. overstaffed with young lifegaurds, 2 big water slides, swirl pool, lazy river... i mean my 6 yr old wore this place out... life jackets provided on site to make sure your kiddos are 100% safe. For $8 , close to home , clean and a blast! Cant beat it! We will be back for sure!. .. in case of inclement weather they allow you to splash in the indoor pool. Money well spent :) read more

Strange rules not seen at other water parks. My toddler was required to have a swim diaper AND plastic pants AND swimming trunks (to be fair, the website also says this) but I had to buy the plastic pants from them because I didn't own any. I've never heard that from any other park. There is NO in and out privileges, don't ask. When I asked if there are plans to develop a stamp or other system, the front desk lady said, " No, this isn't Disney World." No food is allowed in, which would be OK if you had freedom to return to your car. You are forced to use their concession stand if you spend any length of time there. Once inside, everyone was forced out of the water for a safety break. I'm all for safety, but it seemed strange. When we asked about it, the manager said it's so kids in the water aren't overwhelmed. What?!? That doesn't make sense. Bathrooms were dirty and out of toilet paper. In conclusion, it's evident that government run facilities have zero effort on customer service. read more

I made the mistake of booking my children's birthday party here even though I had the gut feeling not to. My kids have winter birthdays (age 5 and 7) and they wanted a swim party, so I reluctantly booked the party. My gut feeling was correct. The staff are neither friendly nor professional. The party was held in what appeared to be a staff breakroom. The only thing the party host did to help was to take us to the room and have the food on the table. She did not help cut or pass out the birthday cake and she did not help in anyway with the gifts. She did bring us a cart to transport the gifts to the car, however, the cart was WET. The facility does not allow you to use masks (even though this is not listed in their rules for the indoor pool). The manager was more intent on proving us wrong than working with us on this issue. The manager was clearly a hired hand with no true management or customer service training. The issues go on and on. What is most important for parents to know is that our experience was so bad that my children ASKED to leave. Both kids told me they never wanted to go back there. read more
