Hubs & I had to make a stop today at Apria Home Health (our naughty puppy ate his new c-pap mask). Of course we got there just as they were closing for lunch, so we decided to go grab some lunch at Francisca's since it was in the same strip mall. We had been there before, about 9 years ago, and it was decent, nothing too special that I recall. I must have been cranky 9 years ago because today I had an entirely different experience! Today, oh my heavens, it was so good! If I wasn't so busy enjoying the delicious food, I would have taken pictures! I ordered the combo with two beef enchiladas, chile relleno, beef taco, rice &beans with red and green. It reminded me of my time spent in Aguascalientes, Mexico learning to cook in my friend Rosalba's mother's humble kitchen. Quality ingredients, simple, delicious, and made with love. Aaron ordered the fire burger with beer battered onion rings and it was to die for! A perfectly grilled sirloin burger generously smothered with grilled onions and jalapeños, melted cheese, and an amazing red chile sauce, served on a hearty bun. He had to eat it with a knife and fork! SO GOOD! Don't let the appearance or somewhat obscure location of this little gem fool you, give it a try, you won't be disappointed! So few weeks ago went there to grab some food because the food is worth the trip amazing food. Now as for the atmosphere not good at all that evening a man who was working "felix" was the owners son I gathered after he was so drunk and yelling for his mommy all night at a table! What grown man behaves like that! Are group moved talbes just to get away from his smell and crying for mommy ! And i nor will none of my family and friends will ever come here again. If yall want a laugh we got all this grown drunk mans behavior on video and needless to say it's out there for the public to see. A grown ass man crying for mommy mommy druck as hell simply pathetic like I said the food is amazing here but not worth this shit . I am a local and have been to this restaurant many time and I'm responding to a report I seen about a woman being harassed. First off the man in his 40s is named Felix and he's the owners son so good luck getting any results. This man on a personal note is truly a creep and I know I'm over sharing but he's a known cheater and all around perverse man. I myself unfortunately know first hand of his behavior and how he cheats. I'm ashamed to be part of it. But I feel people have the right to know who's serving them their food. And the woman who wrote the report on harassment I feel for her because him being the owners son I don't ever see anything ever happening about his actions towards any customers male or female he won't be held responsible. If you are looking for Authentic New Mexican food look no further you found it. The seating is very prompt, chips salsa and your drinks are brought to your table immediately. The staff are very friendly and never leave you unattended. The food is amazing, everything is homemade and the steak picado is my favorite. This is a family owned and operated business so you get that homey feeling. If you skip out on this Gem/hole in the wall restaurant YOU WILL REGRET IT. read more
