Brussel Sprouts that make you lick the plate!

Alright nah y'all now that I have come out of this food coma let me tell ya about this place here! From the moment we entered the restaurant to the owners walking us out, it was top tier! Felt like we were family! I was telling customers, "Welcome to Francois'"! Baby the food was DELICIOUS! We had every dang thing! Spinach dip and the house made tortilla chips made you want to bring in a ziploc bag and fill it up! If you don't like Brussels sprouts you will love these!!! Baby that Sunrise Burger is everything, trust me you won't eat it all! The cheesecake is something remarkable! The place is so cute and quaint! I definitely will be back! Now I'm not a drinker but those shots was shotting! Y'all run to this hidden gem!

There are so many great things to say about this place I don't know where to start. Everything I've tried has been "nothing short of amazing" the steak, the smothered potato's, lamb chops, tacos, wings, and lastly "my favorite"crawfish rice and fried catfish. The catfish and crawfish rice are both seasoned perfectly; fish is fried to perfection. I am so addicted to that particular meal (catfish and crawfish rice) that as soon as I arrive in town Francois Tavern is was one of my favorite (first) stops. Anyway, not only do you get amazing food but you also get excellent customer service, the owners make you feel at home, like family. What more could you ask for?. Pros: food (to include taste, quality, and prices) customer service, and overall consistency. Cons: none I have zero complaints about this restaurant/tavern. Whenever I am in town and I am in search of a great meal with great customer service I head to Francois Tavern. Highly recommend this place!!

I don't even know where to begin, everything I had was phenomenal!! A few of my fellow coworkers were in town and stumbled upon this place. When we walked in we were immediately greeted by Spike and his wife who own the awesome establishment. They are such awesome people and super friendly. Ok so to kick off the review, we asked about the corn and crab soup which absolutely amazing. Packed with a lot of meat and flavor! This is a must try!! My coworker ended up ordering the fried catfish plate and I was able to snag a piece. This was another hit. Tons of flavor in the batter which I truly love. I myself ended up going with the crawfish Ettoufee, again packed with just the right amount of heat and tons of flavor! In my opinion this place has much better food than you can find in Mew Orleans. So with that being said please come out and support this place. I promise you won't regret it.

Soooo we had a meeting in Laplace, and searched somewhere close. We have found a diamond in the rough! Everything we ordered was so good!! We started with Philly eggrolls, crawfish nachos, broussel sprouts and spinach dip!!! All good!!! We had fish platter and all the burgers!

Located right at St. Charles & Carrollton on the streetcar line, it's super easy to get to and always buzzing in the best way. The drink options are endless--great cocktails, frozen margaritas, beer by the glass or pitcher, and a huge variety of beers to choose from. TVs are everywhere, making it a perfect spot to catch sporting events, meet up with friends, or just hang out solo. The vibe is low-key, casual, and welcoming--no frills, just a consistently good time. I also love that they're open 11 AM to 1 AM, seven days a week, which is clutch no matter the day or occasion. And finding out they've been around since 1977 just adds to the charm and legacy. If you're looking for great happy hour options, strong cocktails, classic New Orleans eats, and an Uptown spot where you can relax and connect with friends, Cooter Brown's always delivers. Definitely one of those places that never goes out of style. A true NOLA staple.

The greek salad is ok, the lettuce was brown and tasted kind of old. The fried calamari batter was super plain, calamari was small and over cooked and the marinara they serve it with was watery. I had a pleasant experience at Petra…read more The waiter/bartender (possibly owner?) was so sweet and welcoming. She was super attentive. I had the salmon over spinach and added mushrooms. When I tell you that was top 5 best salmon I've ever eaten. It was so flavorful and moist. It was PERFECTLY seasoned and cooked. The spinach, veggies, and potatoes were an excellent touch of freshness. I will definitely be back for the salmon. The Caesar salad was also divine. In fact, I think it's the best Caesar salad I've tried. The dressing is slightly more tart than other Caesar dressings; however, it's tart in the most palate-pleasing way. The cheese was abundant and fresh, and the romaine was crisp and fresh. I did not try the redfish but our family friend was satisfied. Finally, the warm rolls with that butter are enough to start a fight over for the last roll. I ate 3 at the table, which I never do. They're so light, buttery, and are served warm. The butter is possibly a whipped garlic butter concoction. I had to stop eating them. Overall, I really enjoyed our dinner. Do not be thrown off by the dated decor--some of the best food comes from places like these. My only hangup is the imported seafood. I'm not a big fan of imported seafood, in general. However, I do not think that takes away from the restaurant if you're looking for a great meal. And I'm mindful that domestic costs are often (and are growing) financially infeasible for some restaurants. Great spot!!
