WE LOVE FRANCO's!! My fiance and I have visited this shop twice. The first time was to get an idea of his suit color for our wedding. Jim fitted him and made some great recommendations. We ended up buying the suit through another company but coming back to Franco's to have it tailored. They are such experts with fitting and make recommendations but don't pressure you to anything. The second time we came, Mitch helped us and he was an absolute delight. He took his time to explain different products and answered all of our questions. Whew, this is the place to go for custom suiting! Franco's has been around for almost 30 years, evolving the whole time, but it now offers pretty much the best of suits and high-end fashion for men Their strong suit is imported labels I think, but they also have a large selection of good Italian leather shoes (which if you buy, you will keep for 20 years- they are known for their great craftsmanship). They also have several tailors on-site, which means you can have any suit you choose custom-tailored so the fit is perfect. But you can also choose your fabric and have a suit custom-made for you... the possibilities are endless. Now here's a secret- they have a lot of sale items, particularly at this location, so don't be afraid to go in and look around. Even if you can't afford a custom suit, or even a high-end tie, you can find something in their sale room. Yes, it's a room. And its filled with leather shoes, suits in all sizes and fabrics and colors, and even men's casual wear (think cashmere sweaters, finely woven golf shirts in every color, and ties from all the best labels). If you are a serious customer, they will treat you with top-notch service. You'll have your own personal salesman, helping you find the best quality, best fit, everything. If you are more of a browser, the salesmen try to be unobtrusive... but it's hard when there are so many of them hanging around waiting to help. This location is also the Franco's flagship store, and I think they have their corporate offices located here. It's worth a visit next time you get a big promotion or need a new interview suit. Awesome service and selection. Took my funemployed college age son here for a few suits and they were awesome to work with. Although some of the suits that I really liked cost more than I wanted to pay (Armani/Hickey Freeman), Paul was able to find a couple suits within our budget and that actually were designed to fit someone tall and lean. The quality was much more superior to other men's stores that we frequented in the past. We were told to be prepared to try the suits on when they are finished and potentially have a second round of alterations. I personally have come to the Lakeside store for 20 years and the service is always top notch. This a small local family run business. There staff is phenomenal and knowledgeable to all who enter. They cater to your taste and budget. Whether you need a Brioni suit or a Hugo Boss they will give you the same service. I started with $299 suits with Kevin in the old Belgrade location as a sakes rep with Dick Strauss Ford in 1994. They always helped me look professional and kept me in my budget which back then was very limited. 25 years later I'm driving back to Richmond to get a couple shirt and some alterations from them because you get what you pay for. 2 hours in traffic is well worth it to receive great service a perfect alterations!! AWFUL!! Awfully nice experience of receiving excellent service. My first suit came apart the second time I wore it. Took it back in and Franco himself addressed the issue. He was furious about it and re stitched the whole suit himself. Turns out the lining was stitched improperly. First time buying a suit here. Really liked the suit. Good quality and for the right price. Customer service was second to none. Greeted at the door and received personalized attention. I've bought many suits. Macy's, Men's Warehouse and Jos A Banks were my sources before. The latter being my go to for past five years. After they were purchased by Men's Warehouse they became horrible. Then and now. 23 years ago our firm was allowed a clothing budget for about ten of the top executives. The owner chose Franco's as the place this money would be spent. In the 90's the customer service and attention to detail was tremendous. I am no longer in the need for such high fashion clothing but needed a suit for a black tie event. After 23 years my suits had succumbed to the rack fatigue. I visited Franco's expecting it to have succumbed to the volume style in and out clothier I had witnessed. I was indeed surprised when i was met with the gentlemen that used to help us so long ago and Franco himself helping me find the needed attire. The customer service was as good now as it was then.
