I visit this Kohl's frequently returning Amazon packages. I love a lot of the items in the store, but I always leave emply handed. I can't tell you how many times I was in there and needed to try on clothing and they have every fitting room closed except 1 and there's a line. I'm sorry, that's ridiculous. I don't want to wait in a line, so I leave and buy the item I'm looking for at another store. This was true at Christmas time also. How much money is Kohl's losing because no one wants to wait in line. Hire some people Kohl's, you're losing money. read more

I do not know if I should laugh or cry. They replaced the furniture with guess what? More cracked furniture. We brought it upstairs only to find out they were damaged again. Just avoid Kohl's furniture at all costs if you don't wanna be stressed. read more

COVID review: Aside from offering the best deals and steals in the land during a time when we the people need it most, Kohl's is keeping their customers safe! Kohl's offers an array of hand sanitizers upon entry. They also have several signs and stickers in place to help enforce social distancing! The employees are still wonderful and even though you can't physically see the smiles on their faces (because of the mask) they have all mastered the art of smiling with their eyes! Now that Amazon allows drop-off returns, we decided to give it a try. Such a seamless process and a wonderful alternative from having to print label, box the package, and ship with UPS. You return the amazon items at the Customer Service desk by providing the sales associate with the code issued by Amazon. They scan your phone and nothing else is needed. Kohl's packs it and ships it for you !!! This was my first time at this location, but all the employees that we interacted with were very kind and efficient in providing services to us. After returning our items, we walked around and made a purchase. Again, the sales associate at the front of the store was friendly and made the checkout process smooth. Will definitely be returning here for my amazon returns. read more

The staff in the shoe department was amazing. But when I walked in and there was a gentleman making fun of the mask sign and I asked if someone was going to offer him a mask the woman literally chased him through the store only for him to pretty much run away, and never got a mask from her. They did not seem overly concerned, that he was not wearing one, and as I walked through the store I saw multiple people were not wearing masks. read more

I love Kohls for their return policy, discounts and sales. I will be honest, I ONLY shop here when they have sales on top of final clearances. The amount of money you can save. Best purchase this year is a Levi's leather jacket originally $180 that I purchased for $12. Seriously!! You just cannot beat their sales and returning is easy. I give them a 5 for that HOWEVER Kohls is expensive during non sale, non clearance days. read more

Decent sized Kohl's. Though it always takes me a little while to find what I need because the sections seem to be organized interestingly. Women's shoes are on one side, but you have to weave through a men's section in order to find accessories/handbags. Overall though, decent deals to be found and the staff is quick and competent. read more

First, let me say, I used to LOVE Kohl's, I was one of their biggest fans. Now, however, I can only seem to muster up 3 stars for them. I have a couple of reasons for this. I am a larger woman and I used to be able to find a good selection of my sizes. I am not sure what has happened in the last couple of years, maybe they got a new fashion shopper for the stores, but the selection has been horrible. My daughter and I both say it is mostly elderly looking clothing in that size now. It is rare to find a couple of items and then if they are not on sale or don't have coupons, it is too expensive to buy. I am not sure why they cut back on their Daisy Fuentes' styles, but they were fun, fit well, stylish and many ages could wear them (now I only find a couple of those in our section). Also - this is a big one for me and most other shoppers I talk to in your store agree - You keep it way too HOT!!! Please turn on the air when it is warm outside. I was told it was b/c you are 'going green', but it really sound like you are going 'cheap' and it only makes me want to leave quicker and not shop. If I dripping from heat, I certainly do not want to try on clothes and shoes, or watch my children do so. Please make it a little more comfortable in there, we would appreciate it. One really good point, to be fair - You really excel at the clearance buys and markdowns. I get my best bargains there, usually for others for birthdays and Christmas, if I can find their sizes. I really do like your sales and coupons to help us save money and I appreciate that very much. I am sorry Kohl's for the rating but hope you will read and maybe make some changes. Just went to this location get an outfit for a wedding and every worker who I encountered was incredibly rude. The woman who rang me up did not seem like she wanted to help me with anything, as she sighed and complained when I asked her to look up my Kohls charge. I had to ask her 3 times to do it. She also forgot to put my earrings in my bag and I had to drive all the way back. She was very careless and she didn't even hang up my $80 jacket she just threw it in the bag. Then I was told I couldn't do exchanges at the register, as I used to work at a Kohls, I'm sure you can, so she sent me to customer service where that woman was also incredibly rude and didn't even say hello to me. I love Kohl's, and it's no exaggeration that close to 75% of my wardrobe has come from this chain, but this store looks like a rummage sale. Stuff everywhere, and no staff members to be found. The good news is they do have a kiosk that you can use to scan any items you may be looking for in a different size or color and they will ship it directly to you. I still love Kohl's, but this location is just too messy and disorganized for me. Next time I'll skip the headache, stick to the website and just shop from my couch instead. read more

I would give negative stars if I could. This is not personally directed at the mechanicsville location, but this is a way to make this review available to the public. DO NOT ORDER FROM KOHLS. I have ordered from kohl's plenty of times in the past and thought nothing of buying some Christmas presents for loved ones online. I have been nearly triple charged for one order, and I have made several complaints. They have returned around $30 to my account, but they still owe me over $150 dollars that they charged on my debit card. The response that I keep getting is to wait for the money to return to my account, but at this point I wonder if they will ever return the money they took. I will wait a few more days, but I honestly feel that Kohl's does not care about their customers or about stealing their money. It's almost as if they are hoping their customers do not notice these extra charges, and they have not been helpful through this experience I have always liked shopping at kohl's, but this experience makes me never want to shop there again. They returned the my money to my card last night, only to take it out again this morning. This is absolutely insane, Kohl's seems to be able to take money from my account whenever they want for no reason at all. It's sad because I have kohl's cash, and wanted to buy a couple of things from Kohl's still. Now, I'm convinced Kohl's cannot be trusted with my payment information, and I'm seriously considering cancelling my debit card so they cannot steal from me anymore. Update: Every night since Monday, Kohl's has returned my money to my account for about two hours only to take the money from my account at midnight. I have received my entire order, and paid for the order in full. Yet, Kohl's continues to take money from my account every night. This interferes with my ability to pay bills, and they refuse to do anything about it. They say wait 7 business days, but it's been longer than that now. There's absolutely no reason for them to take money from my account, and what they're doing has become borderline illegal. They take indiscriminate amounts of money from my debit card whenever they please, even though I have paid for the entire purchase and have received it in the mail already. DO NOT SHOP AT KOHLS, it has become a horrible hassle without an end in sight. I have made several complaints, which they no longer respond to despite their unauthorized activity. Horrible service, and they take as much money as they want from you. What do I do with a company who returns the money the takes it back every single day? At this point, I may have to contact the authorities, that is how extreme this has become. It's never ending, and they refuse to simply give me the extra money they took back. read more

worst experience with this store ever. My wife purchased me a set of shoes. Less than a week later the soles were separating. I took them back to the store and they could not do anything because they didn't have the same shoe in stock and I only had the email copy of the receipt. I even was willing to spend more on replacement shoes but with out my wifes credit card they could not do anything. could you make it a little harder to take my money?
