I am so happy I was paying attention to Instagram to learn that this was their last weekend that they would be opened. I had been wanting to try this restaurant and it did not disappoint. FULLY delivered! SERVICE The owner/chef explained the menu and also brought my food to my car. Top tier service as other reviewers had mentioned! That was so kind especially for him to be so busy. FOOD OMG! I am kind of sad I was introduced to this bomb food and I won't be able to order it again. Let me tell you the FRIED LEMON PEPPER OXTAILS! Whew! I was not prepared at all for how good they were. So addicting. Well seasoned. Meat was tender, perfect coating that is very light. My sides were the crawfish Mac and the collard greens. Loved both and the collard greens were really good and spicy! Was not expecting it but it was a pleasant surprise. I also ordered the smash burger and subbed my fries for the potato salad instead which was too good. And he gives BIG servings. All was reasonably priced. I wanted to try the spiked punch but they were not an option for sale and I wanted their kreole wings but I was told they didn't have the sauce so I opted for the smash burger. Also ordered the kreole egg rolls. I wanted the seafood egg rolls but it wasn't an option. The kreole egg rolls were bomb! And I loved how the lady who took my order hyped up my food choices! Made me even more excited to try it! The kreole egg rolls are stuffed with chicken, cream cheese, pepper jack cheese and I think I was told jalapeños. It was GOOD. I love this food truck! I will literally go out of my way and combat everybody's traffic to visit them. My go to's are the red beans and rice, creole cabbage, and the lemon pepper oxtail... And if he has eggrolls, I grab them too, because the sauce that comes with it goes with everything!!! I love the fact that they try to bring your order to your car so you don't have to get out and walk back to them, phenomenal! And I have tried to meet them halfway, but of course, they insist that they come to me lol I have to mention that I don't eat everyone's potato salad---Iykyk--but theirs..I'll eat and it doesn't miss a beat. And usually try to take photos of my food immediately but I just end up eating in the car and if I do happen to make it home, the picture quality kind of decreases because I want to eat and I don't care about the angles ha! Went to frost brewery and they were set up outside. I ordered the chicken tenders with cabbage and red beans and rice with the cheeseburger eggerolls. I was told 15 mins for the wait to get my food. The wait was closer to 45mins but i wasn't upset since it was a lazy sunday and i really didn't have anywhere to be. I finally got my food and the cheeseburger eggrolls were good but vey greasy. You will need to eat these right away or you will end up with a soggy mess. I ordered the tenders but were given the wings. I wasnt going to wait an additional 30 mins so i ate them. The wings were live!!! I would definitely recommend them because they are flavorful and you get a bunch. The cabbage tasted old so i didnt eat it. The red beans and rice were good. Found this food truck on IG and decided to stop by after work. I'm so glad I did! I got the fried lemon pepper oxtail plate, that came with sides red beans, rice, and kraw mac and cheese. I was questionable as to how tender the oxtails would be, but surprisingly they were very tender and full of flavor. The sides were delicious, too! I also got the Smack burger. All I can say and will say, is that this was one of the best burgers that I've ever had... and I'm extremely picky. It was very juicy and full of flavor. The service was A1 as well. This is a food trailer that bounces around the area. I picked up some Spicy Chipolte Shrimp, Cheeseburger Eggrolls, Krabmac & Potato Salad, when they were at Klaus Brewing Company. It took a minute for preparation but that's expected when it's all made fresh. Got it home and it sat for about 30 minutes before I could dig in. The Cheeseburger Eggrolls were crisp and successfully combined that Asian zing with a hearty cheesburger finish. They were NOT a "greasy mess" as others have experienced and described. The shrimp was crispy and the Chipotle glaze was sweet with just the right amount of pop on the spiciness. The potato salad was most delicious and is not on the tangy mustard side of the spectrum but more toward a Miracle Whip sweet side. The Krabmac is exactly that, scratch made mac n cheese with crab meat mixed in and was divine! The total price for all of this was less than $40 including the tip. Very reasonable for the type of food they serve and definitely worth the wait. read more
