The food was superb, and the owners were courteous and polite. And the lemonade was off the chain.

My favorite place for Peking duck around the Houston area. It's a little farther out, but I usually…read morestop by whenever I'm driving to or from AIH. The duck is roasted for hours, so the skin comes out nice and crispy without being too greasy. I also like that the remaining duck is made into a soup afterward. It's simple, hearty, and especially good on a colder day. I've tried several other dishes here, and they've all been solid and remind me of the Chinese food I grew up eating. The servers have always been attentive and friendly, and the restaurant is spacious, so it's a good spot for family dinners or larger groups.

When we finally got seated we weren't asked What would you like to drink or this is our drink menu. It was-Water,right,right,Ok brb. So we had water just like the rest of the people in there. Also weird how they don't have any drinks on the menu or let you know about options. Could I have asked for something else? Sure but again waitresses were just all over the place it was crazy. When we ordered and others food was coming out we realized what big portions they give you. BTW just 'cus it's big portions doesn't mean This food is about to be the best Ive ever had. The food- We got some shrimp plate and we were told it was spicy because it has peppers and peppercorns which would numb your tongue which it was just basic shrimp dish. Only good or cool part of it was eating lotus root which Ive never had before. We also ordered the "special" house beef noodles and I don't see the hype or why they're so special. The only crazy part was the noodles length. Which honestly made it hard to eat. We ordered the duck which came with the soup. The soup was made from scraps. I think if they had added more duck and not just scraps it would be my fav thing of everything we ordered. Will say it tasted like chicken soup. For the duck. It wasn't as crispy as people made it seem to be. I expect idk a more gamey flavor to it and all I kept saying is-This taste like pork carnitas. Idk why we got treated than the table behind us. We asked for to go just like they do but they just gave them their to-go plates like Here ya go and they put all of our food in our to-go for us. Would I go back? Its one of those you say- Ok I've had it,had the duck, don't get the hype but ok not worth coming back again for more.

As we walked in, we were immediately greeted by Eric and seated. He sat us in a private cozy nook but we asked to move to the booths with tv viewing access. Eric took the time to explain the menu and offered his suggestions. He greeted and checked on everyone. As he spoke to people, he would thank them for coming back and converse as if he was speaking to old friends. The customer service was superb. My husband ordered a michelada with Michelob Ultra. He said it was a few degrees shy of having ice in it, who doesn't love a cold beer! For dinner we ordered the gumbo with sausage, red beans and rice, and the twin lobster rolls. The gumbo had a dark roux. It was decent but the spice level was a bit much for me. After about four bites, my husband took over. He enjoyed it. Next was the red beans and rice with sausage. The flavor was good. My only complaint was the sausage pieces were too big for one bite. Lastly was the twin lobster rolls with Cajun fries. The fries were crispy and I'd compare them to Charlie's. The roll had generous portions of delicious lobster. We chose a hot roll but they do serve it cold if you prefer. The basket is served with a 2 oz helping of melted butter for you to drizzle on your rolls. The flat top rolls were buttery, soft, and grilled to perfection. Overall, we enjoyed them but they were missing just a touch of something, maybe a spice, I can't pinpoint it. I would definitely get them again though! The food was all hot and fresh. I overheard Eric telling another customer they don't have heat lamps and everything is brought out as soon as it comes off the stove. The location is in the center of booming shopping centers. This is a great lunch or dinner spot that welcomes casual family friendly dining. I'm glad we returned, we will be back.

When I walked in the place , it wreaked of sewage smell but I still dined in because I saw others there. Anyway, I received my food and started eating the shrimp fried rice and it had a nice flavor however the shrimp was bland so I had to add some seasoning to it. Next, I started on the seafood boil and again I had to add some seasoning too add some flavor to the dish. To me the dine in experience was lack luster and noon Existent. Also, I had to walk to the register every time I needed something, which became tiresome after several trips to ask for more condiments, scissors to cut the crab legs and my bottled water. Lastly, I had to ask for a to go bag because I had a lot of food left over. My advice is don't dine in, if you don't have to. This is definitely a to go place. Anyway, chow!

It was all Asian inspired so sushi, sashimi, traditional Chinese foods. The wide variety was well thought out. There were some items that were inedible but that's expected for a buffet of this size, just chuck it and keep going. We had 4 rounds of trying different foods all for $22.99 per person. Parking is shared in the plaza and was smaller than expected. The restaurant is fairly large - wide and the buffet bar is pretty big. There are the standard buffet options fried rice, lo mein, beef and broccoli, orange chicken, chicken wings, dumplings, egg rolls, spring rolls, etc and a good assortment of seafood - shrimp, fish, clams, mussels, and more. The usual battered and fried stuff. And of course pizza. There is a separate section of sushi - rolls, nigiri, etc. There is also a few soups and a small salad and sauce bar. They had Chinese bbq buns, custard buns and the Chinese style sticky rice (wrapped in banana leaf). There are dessert options too like ice cream, fruit, pudding, cakes, and slushies. They also have a hibachi grill and what they called a hot pot (but was more like a bowl of noodle soup). The hibachi grill noodles were good. There aren't a lot of options but plenty of meats. The hot pot soup (spicy) seemed to use a Sichuan style chili which altered the taste of the soup a bit. Get regular and add your own spice. The staff were friendly and attentive. It's a very far drive for us because we are in the city so not somewhere we'd go often but not against trying it again.
