My dad, Thomas Grace, used to drive 2.5 hours (pretty often) just to get a hot dog here before he passed away. It's silly, but Frank N Steins was his spot, and because of that, we've been able to share this amazing place with friends and family for decades now. When you walk in, you're met by a friendly smile every time. The franks here are the best, and the steins make the experience even better, but the friendly experience and the cozy atmosphere is what makes this place special. This place screamed to my husband. He had a chili dog with cheese, and enjoyed it. I had a corn dog and it was good. We had the fries, and they were good. Beer is served in an icy cold mug. Best part: we ate under $20. We will be back! read more

A group of us dine each Wed and today we chose Frank n stein. We spoke with a woman at 1:30 and gave her a heads up for 15 at 6 pm. Upon arrival a male was the lone employee seen and was very frantic and appeared PO'd when we arrived. He was very curt and quite rude when taking our orders as he said a large group of regulars were also coming in and he was quite perturbed. We asked for draft beers and were told he didn't have time to refill the kegs and only had short mugs. He really appeared to be upset with us and when he was told we called earlier for a heads up he said it was news to him. Two hotdogs, fries and a bottle of beer 15 bucks-going to return, doubtful. These hotdogs are really good! I got two dogs, one with chili and cheese and another with peppers and onions, but they have just about any topping you would ever want to put on a hotdog. Both were served to our table literally seconds after we sat down. Staff was friendly and prompt too! My only gripe is that they didn't have a great beer selection. Even then it was served ice cold, so it really wasn't much of an issue. All in all, if you want a quality hotdog then I would definitely recommend this place! read more

Only a couple of exports in bottles. Good choice for a hot dog but much better options available in the local area for a good brew. read more

I am a hot dog expert and this place has the better hot dog. Nathans and Sonic....no match. The chilli and cheese are a favorite. Although I plan to eat every combination eventually. Have been a regular there for a couple of years. Today was my last. The hotdogs are good but the service is subpar. I asked for a refill as one of the older waitresses was passing by in the restaurant and she said "get up and get it yourself " At best they're curt. Ok I guess came in sat down, I haven't been in years but I felt like a hotdog. The lady asked "what are you having to drink?" I replied a coke, she grabbed a glass filled it up and asked what I was having a hotdog so I ordered a hotdog with onions. Scarfed it down and was finishing my soda and was reading an ad on the placemat while reading it she snatched the thing right from under my eyes gave me the amount of my bill basically kicking me out. Because looking around I guess If your not a local alcoholic you have no right to take up a chair In This establishment . This place is awesome. My go to favorite is the Monster Dog where you can add as many toppings as you want. This is also the only place in the Treasure Coast I have found Birch Beer - my husband's favorite! I have fond memories of having hot dogs with my dad at Frank N Steins and now I am bringing my son to enjoy the same experience. The place itself is comfortable and down to earth, the atmosphere is fine and relaxing. The food is so so. The dogs are not great, but they aren't bad either. It was a little difficult to get the lady taking the order to understand that we want one chili cheese dog with onions and two chili dogs with onions....as opposed to 3 with cheese. when they arrived they were right but none had onions on them. Like I said, not great dogs, but they are expensive. When you consider that a chili dog from this place cost twice the chili dog from the Varsity in downtown Atlanta, with the Varsity dog the hands down better chili dog, seems like the Varsity should head to Stuart. read more

Was less than impressed. Went on a Tuesday Night at 7pm. The solitary staff was probably annoyed we showed up an hour before closing. I ordered the chili dog and the girlfriend ordered the chili and cheese dog. Basically skinny Sabretts and Hormel Chili from a can. The beer was cold and the Iced Tea was sweet but for a 12 dollar tab before tip It was a bust. I think I'll stick with home grilling and the big ass Costo dogs and a cooler of beer. read more

Finally found a Hot Dog in South Florida that is great!...The place is rustic, and aged well. The Hot Dogs...French Fries and Birch Beer are excellent. Tried Sauerkraut,mustard and relish...Tomato sauce and onions...Peppers and Onions and Chili dogs...All are terrific. Fries..Regular or Curly are also perfect.....Birch Beer is like the "old days". The food is great but the staff is always so rude! They act like it's a bother for you to place your order, and don't even ask for a lid to put on your drink! We've been here dozens of times because the food is so good, but the manners/behaviors of the staff could definitely be brought up a few notches. read more

Great food alternative from the big chain burger places. Great selection and great tasting food. I'm a big brat fan and don't care much for hot dogs so I like the quality they put out. Stop in for a cold beer and a brat for lunch. Don't wait for Oktoberfest to enjoy this type of food. read more
