Having visited the restaurant for years, celebrating all manner of things with my family, I can honestly say I consider it to be Paisley's best restaurant. The staff are attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and they make each experience - always a culinary delight - truly excellent. American and Italian influences are married beautifully; the latter being (thankfully) far more prominent leaving the former as an interesting accent. The resultant atmosphere is inviting, warm, relaxed and a pleasure to dine in. The lighting in the back is perfect and really makes Cardosi's a great place for a special occasion whilst the booths are somewhat secluded and provide for an intimate retreat in which to enjoy an afternoon or evening with good company. The menu has developed over the years but some signature dishes remain popular with my family; the simple Penne Alfredo is pasta perfection and the goats' cheese bruschetta (one of the four or so bruschettas offered) is divine. Presentation is thoughtful and consistent no matter which service you're enjoying; this is a testament to the kitchen staff as dinner can be exceptionally busy. Value is excellent, especially at lunchtime when two courses can be had for £9.50. Evening and pre-theatre are very well priced and do not overly restrict the diner. The à la carte options can be a little pricey but I have yet to be anything less than impressed by the choices therefrom. Recently there have been a couple of duck dishes on both the evening and à la carte menus which have been superbly executed. The Coppa Scozia, which raises the humble vanilla ice cream to dizzying gastronomic heights with the addition of crumbled Scottish tablet and hot caramel sauce, stands out from the dessert menu (but is equally matched by the rich and decadent cheesecake). Heralded by many as Paisley's go-to place for any special occasion, Cardosi's is unrivalled in the town and can hold its own against many of the reputable Glasgow restaurants. Whether you go for lunch or dinner, with a crowd or your significant other, you can be sure you'll be enjoying the very best that Paisley has to offer in quality dining.

I myself prefer to order my pizza online via the iPhone app and I can honestly say it's never an issue with a great deal wizard at the end to help you save some extra pennies and when the pizza is in the oven you can see it through to the end if you're ordering in shop or when it is out for delivery if ordering via the app or Internet and 9 times out of 10 the food is with you in under 30 mins. They even made a late delivery a good experience for me; because they were running late back at the shop I ended up with an extra large pizza, so that's 2 pizzas for the price of one and it wasn't even on a two for Tuesday offer. My only negative is the price because if you were to go to the supermarket it is nearly half the price for the same kind of pizza but in my eyes it is definitely worth the treat.

So with these in our hot little hands we made our way to Xscape on a Saturday afternoon. Why this one? Planked our self down and a table of 12 weans trooped in right next to us so its now musical tables time. Moved over to the far side which doesn't make much difference to not hearing the excited bunch of kids as the restaurant is minimalist and very echoey. Now we are right next to one of the speakers playing some random modern jazz racket and a station where the staff throw their cutlery into. ...But I ain't moving again so on with the show 'cos I am hungry. Started with 2 types of Bruschetta, one normal and one with Richito peppers which had a good amount of heat to them. So far so good. Then we shared a Rustichella pizza on a thin base which had rather a lot of rocket and not much penceta and tomatoes. The Cesar dressing was particularly sharp as well. For dessert we opted for Dolcetti which is a half portion sweet/coffee combo. I got figs, mascapone and cinnamon syrup and wifey got gelato. The machiato coffee was passable, not great. The food prep area is open plan with the chefs in stripey tops which is supposed to make them look continental but we thought they looked like convicts. Service was organised and efficient. I like the Livingston one better as the decor is nice and classy. Xscape is reminiscent of a factory canteen. Pizza Express work hard for their corporate branding on their menu and website and bring some big name chefs into the mix. And also try to use authentic produce and recipes- I like this approach.

I've been to this Pizza Hut quite a few times over the last 15 or so years…read more Recently my visits have been with work colleagues and the staff have always been accommodating when we have turned up, sometimes in a group of between 8-10. The layout has changed a lot over the years, but mostly cosmetic changes, but the menu hasn't varied much. The main reason for our visit is the buffet, for a freshly made pizza and a decent choice (vegetarians should look for the green handles). There's even a salad bar to add your own toppings or to have as a starter/side. They also have a Pepsi drinks dispenser where you can choose your own flavour of Pepsi, 7Up, tango etc (or if your adventurous try mixing the flavours) and I think they still have an ice creme machine for kids. For work lunches it's great as you don't have to wait around, just grab a plate, a glass and get stuck in. Staff have changed a lot over the years but they are usually professional and accommodating even if you have people in your party that are a bit more picky.
