OVERPRICED & OVERRATED!!!! I am a local from the Philadelphia area ( I say this to say I know hoagies and cheesesteaks!) The hoagie was underwhelming to say the very least!! I got "The Don" and I added onion!!! I had no idea I had to tell them to put lettuce and tomato on a HOAGIE!!!! I mean for $20 ( I bought the whole) I expected that to be included at the very least. I live less than 10 mins from this place and I willl NEVER GO BACK OR RECOMMEND!!!! In fact you get more bang for your buck at Wawa or Publix!!!!! Don't let the crowd in here fool you because when I saw how many ppl were here I got excited in hopes for good food. If you're not a sub person, guaranteed you will be when you eat one at Frankie's. Family friendly, spacious and quiet location with multiple cold and warm sub options, pizzas, salads, and don't forget dessert. You can buy soup and their delicious bread to go. Everything is authentically Italian and brought from New York. Tiramisu and bread were unique and nothing like I've ever tried. Wishing this place was closer to me for the food and the warm service. It was a one man show; The owner was taking and making orders. He brought everything out to your table, quickly. Highly recommend the surf and turf and Frankie's Felon if you're a steak person. As snowbirds we don't have the luxury of having Frankie's sandwiches regularly. But it's a definite" go to " when we are in town. We dropped in to get a couple of subs for dinner. It was quite busy but the service was excellent and the food arrived quickly. We ordered takeout I had the Italian sausage and peppers and my wife the steak and cheese. Mine was excellent with an abundance of sausage. My wife's sandwich was also excellent. Although the drive from there to our home is roughly 15 miles, both sandwiches were hot and delicious. As you can see that we drove through Naples seasonal traffic to get our fix. That tells you how much we enjoyed it. And will definitely grab dinner from there many times before we leave read more

We have visited Frank Frankie's Italian Dolly in the past and decided to come back this year. I ordered the chicken Parmesan and my husband had the chicken piccata. Both were very good. This is a place where you order and someone brings the food to your table, Service was good atmosphere was good sports were on the television which was great and we had a wonderful time here. The chicken piccata had a ton of capers. I think next time we order we would ask for less the chicken Parmesan portion was enormous. I couldn't finish it. read more

If you're from New England, you will absolutely appreciate that. These are amazing subs. Being from Boston, we know an eggplant Parm sub should be and this is one of the best I've ever had. I also got the chicken cutlet, which was so nice with the mozzarella balsamic, and roasted red peppers. The atmosphere fits the food simple nicely decorated goes along with the authentic sub shop. Very good deli sandwiches. Bread is good quality for Florida but not up to the quality of breads from San Francisco. It's the heat and humidity I think. Service was fast and generously filled with cheese and cold cuts. No cheating out with lettuce filler. Will return. read more

Had a layover at Naples & stopped by for a sandwich. I had the Italian sub (bomb), chicken Parmesan (bomb) & the turkey one. All sandwiches had fresh meat and were in a crunchy outer layer but soft in the inside bread. Staff was also supper nice and the place was clean with a chill vibe. Overpriced as well. Mixed up our orders. What else can I say when nothing was any good. Seems like new owners or something. Also, my husband was told he could leave after paying for our food and being made to wait while every other customer was being taken care of. He had the audacity, apparently, to expect our order after having paid. This is now a rude place and the food is not the same, people beware! read more

A true Gem of an Establishment in East Naples. Owner Jason and his great Staff serve up some delicious fare; - excellent pizza - superb Subs...I mean as good as Philly and NYC type stuff. Try the Felon and the Real Italian. He gets his bread from Staten Island so you know he has the rare and needed ingredients. You can't go wrong w this place. Frankie's is always delicious! Love their subs especially the "Godfather" sub, they're huge! We each get 2 lunches out of one sandwich- we cut it into 4 pieces. Granted, a quarter of it wouldn't be enough for everyone but it's plenty for us with chips and maybe a beer or soft drink. I've also had their lasagna and their pizza and nothing I've tried has ever disappointed. Jason is always kind and welcoming. I'm not positive but it seems like a family-run business for the most part. I'm just disappointed that they moved from their original location which was just about 1 1/2 miles from us. Went to Frankie's Authentic Italian Deli in Naples for lunch and what a surprise. We had the White Pie pizza with fresh basil and added mushrooms and shared Frankie's Italian sub. The staff was kind, courteous and the chef Manny came to our table to check on us and our thoughts on the food! It was fantastic. My wife is from NJ and she loved their bread (which they order fresh from NJ) and their dough is from Brooklyn, NY. Everything was absolutely incredible. Highly recommend a visit if you've never been and are craving good food. read more

What a complete diamond in the rough! The selection of hot and cold sandwiches are varied. They even have Corona on tap if you want to eat in and enjoy a beer. My wife had a chicken Parmesan sub and I had the Don (a traditional Italian sub). They bake their own bread there and it was perfect! We will be back soon! read more

SO GOOD I'm frugal but I'll pay almost anything for an amazing sub and that's exactly what Frankie's offers. The price is a high but absolutely worth it. I got a 12" meatball parm ($17.95), my boyfriend got a 12" Frankie's Italian ($17.95), and we both got fountain drinks. The total was ~$45 and we waited ~15 mins for food after ordering. I was turned off by the price at first but felt it was worth every penny after we ate. The Frankie's Italian has a good spice from the meat, balanced by sweet freshness from the peppers and vinaigrette. My meatball sub was hearty and cheesy, everything you want from a classic meatball sub. I'd recommend trying a cold sub if it's your first time, the mix of flavors is really delicious. Fortunately you can't really go wrong, because the real star is the bread!! They sell a few other things as well. Homemade Italian soups, pasta salads, lasagna, etc. Cant wait to come back and try more. read more

Stopped in for my first time after looking at the menu on line, and ordered the Frankie's chicken cutlet. Have had many of these chicken cutlet, roasted red peppers, fresh mozzarella type sandwiches in the Boston area, so I jumped on it. I went with whole, not the half. It tasted very good. The woman said they just made the chicken, mozzarella was fresh, bread as well. Good stuff. My issue was the amount inside the sandwich. Not looking for an over the top portion, but you do need to fill out the sandwich to meet the right bread to meat ratio. We didn't get that here. Bottom line it definitely needed more chicken and could have used little more on the peppers and mozzarella. At least have the ingredients meet the bread, let alone a potentially welcome overstuffed sandwich. I might try something else from Frankie's at some point to give it another shot, but this fell short on expectations. read more
