Hoagie spot with a definite punk grunge skater vibe. While in Naples, FL for a soccer tournament, decided to stop by Slicers as I wanted to check out what all the high reviews were about. Heard they had some crazy sandwiches. Located inside a strip mall, parking was relatively easy. The decor inside was punk grunge style I would say. I asked for what their top sellers were and they directed me towards "The Twang". Which was sliced chicken breast with honey mustard, onions, American cheese and crushed bbq chips. I was told the way to get it was toasted and so that's how I got it. It was a good sandwich or hoagie but I'm not sure if maybe I'm spoiled from living in Miami but crushing chips and putting it on a sandwich is not what I would consider creative. And I thought $15 for a 12 inch without a soda or a side seemed a bit much. Staff were friendly and the place was clean. And hats off to whoever calibrated the soda machine. Slicers is located only a couple of minutes from I-75 at the corner of Livingston and Pine Ridge Rd. They offer excellent freshly sliced cold cut sandwiches. The restaurant is quick serve style and has a counter where you can see your hoagie being made as you order. We ordered an Italian and "The Twang." Both were excellent with plenty of fresh meat and toppings. Unfortunately, they were out of roast beef which is included in about a third of their sandwiches. The bread is great and you can choose to have the hoagie toasted. There are two size options, small (8") or large (12"). The large costs about $16 which I would consider to be expensive for a sandwich with no side or drink. Overall Slicers offers a quality product served in a clean setting. The cost and the fact that they were out of one of their main ingredients took away from the experience a little, however, I would return. read more

We recently had lunch at Slicers and the subs were good. The decor was a little different, but instead of a place with only teens, all age groups were having lunch. The guys who made our subs were fast and knew their job. I ordered The Dream sub and it came piled high with fresh deli meat and veggies. The siracha mayo sauce was also good. Hubs decided on the Italian sub with ham, Capicola and salami. We went for the toasted version and it was just right. They have an amazing selection of sandwiches with speciality and traditional hoagies, salads, a variety of different chips and sides like coleslaw and macaroni salad. This was uh really mediocre for all the high reviews i read. Staff was nice, menu was interesting, but, at the end of the day, the sandwich was sliced deli meat, cheese and produce - why am I paying so much? ($15 for an 8" sub no side) Some people commented in their reviews that they were slicing the vegetables and meat right in front of them (like jersey mike's style), but they didn't during my visit. Decor is sparse and gives out high school garage hangout space. Not bad but also doesn't seem to match the ninja theme of the menu. Won't be back unless prices drop. read more

Slicers Hoagies is a great sub spot! They definitely know how to make a good sub, however the customer service was lacking and therefore why i couldn't give this place 5 stars. With only men working the past several times i've eaten there, they seem to speak down on woman compared to their male customers. They were even making fun of a teenage girl after she left, who came in, and had trouble ordering. Definitely unprofessional in that manner. Good sandwiches tho! read more

Slicers Hoagies lived up to the name of a great sandwich with a modern twist. I loved the fresh pastrami toasted with crushed chips. It was definitely hard to pick a sandwich here as everything sounded amazing. They also have vegan options and salads as well. The crew here were helpful in choosing the right sandwich for me. When I'm back in this area I will be coming back. The restaurant itself has a cool vibe, but if you don't like onions you might just cry while dining in. Stopped through on our way home to Tampa and after trying these hoagies, we're genuinely sad that we don't have one closer! The menu was creative and enticing and our sandwiches definitely delivered on flavor. We also tried the coleslaw and potato salad and enjoyed both of those too. OKKKK Slicers coming in for the WIN! I came to this area for a soccer tournament and as always I look for the local spots to get my grub on. This time I wanted a good lunch and found slicers across the way from my hotel. I saw its amazing reviews and well I knew I had to try it. Reminds me of a NYC sandwich shop. The meats are cut fresh in front of you. The sandwiches give me Wynwood vibes. Each sandwich is mixed with some sort of crushed chip that makes oh so good and really amps up the flavors. I had the pastrami sandwich just because I love pastrami but my kids had the chicken with bacon sandwich and I have to say it was SO GOOD. I get why locals come here. If I lived here I would come here. They have a large menu mixed with flavors and if I lived here I would try each and every one. The flavors must all be so different and so fun. In miami we don't have anything like that so it was just so awesome to try. Definitely a spot I would recommend for any avid foodie looking for a sandwich or lunch. I love a good sandwich and Slicers is becoming one of my favorites sandwich shops. I love that they slice the meat right in front of you, everything is so fresh. You can build your own sandwich or select one of their signature hoagies, but honestly either way the flavor is amazing. We were driving back from Miami and decided to stop for a hoagie. This spot had great reviews, so we had to check it out. We walked in and were greeted immediately by the guys behind the counter. They described the menu and we decided to go with a large slicer hoagie to split with chips. They actually sliced the meat to order, which was nice. We ran it through the garden, added oil, vinegar, and garlic aioli. We grabbed a seat and dug in. The sandwich was exceptional. The bread was perfect, meat was fresh, veggies were crispy, and the crunch from the chips was ideal. We absolutely loved our sandwich. Overall, it was a great spot for a hoagie. Wow...such yummy subs with crunched up potato ships inside the sub! I had The Twang and it was simply fresh and delicious. It was a big sub and I walked out stuffed. Drinks are self-service and they had sweet tea that was really good. There were some tables inside and we chose to eat there. After recommendations, we opted for the 'Jeff's Weenus' and 'WT' - we had both them toasted and my goodness were they good. First time to Slicers and I had a great Buffalo chicken sub. They also have salads available, mostly using the ingredients for the subs, but do have a nice fresh spring mix of greens. The meats are cut fresh just for your order and the staff is very friendly and efficient making whatever sub you want. They have a few specialty subs available to order, or you can build your own...cold or even toasted. The restaurant has plenty of seating and is very casual inside. It's definitely worth trying. They have a big menu of random sandwiches with different ingredients and different names like, The Twang or The Double Dip. I chose the Double Dip and it was ok. Not my favorite combo of flavors. I'm not usually a fan of these kinds of menus because you have no idea how it's going to taste. In my experience you have to be disappointed with 6-8 sandwiches before you find one you love. Also, I've never been a fan of chips on sandwiches and they put them on a lot of sandwiches. Maybe I'm just a sandwich purist. The service was quick, fast and accurate. The ambiance was ok, but definitely not great. They play screamo music which I don't think anyone wants to listen to while trying to relax and enjoy lunch. It seems a bit ignorant to play music that maybe 5% of the population enjoys and the rest find dreadful. Maybe not a great business idea or maybe they're trying to get people to take it "to-go". I am long overdue for a review on Slicers Hoagies. I've been a customer here since 2017 and have become somewhat of a regular ever since. Although I've spent most of my life in Naples, I've lived in many other cities. I can never talk about my hometown without also mentioning Slicers and that's because this hoagie shop has truly become a hometown staple. Whenever my friends from anywhere in the world visit me, I make it a priority to bring them to Slicers. The reason is simple: it is the greatest sandwich they will ever try. There's so many good things to rave about here: - the service is world-class. the folks who work here CARE about the shop. - the ingredients are top-shelf and you can taste it. fresh, fragrant, and fantastic. - the ambiance is authentic. Slicers does not pretend to be something it's not. Billy, the owner and operator of this establishment, is someone I have a ton of admiration for. He works hard to deliver a fantastic experience to his customers from the moment they walk in to the moment they leave. In Hispanic households, you'll often hear homeowners say "no pasas pena que estas en casa" which translates roughly to "don't worry, you're in your home." This is how I feel when I visit the store. Everyone is friendly, the food is tasty beyond belief, and I always leave feeling so happy. I'm not sure I get the buzz around this place. The sandwiches are fairly good, once you decipher what you want due to the strange menu names. The line feels hectic and disorganized. Some of their sandwiches include [potato] chips actually on/in the sandwich, and instead of using larger bags, which would likely be more economical and even more importantly 100x better for the environment, each individual bag is wastefully headed for a landfill. And after all this, it's more expensive than competitors. It has character and perhaps that's what drives in the business, but for me this would be a second or third choice to go. read more

Popped in here for lunch today. It's a good sized place with quite a few tables in front of their big counter. A couple of small tables are outside. I was pleasantly surprised at how friendly the staff is. The two guys were very chatty and great at educating me about their subs. They have quite a few specialty subs, but I went with the classic Italian sub, and Turkey/Roast Beef sub. They slice up the meat right in front of you, so you know it's fresh. Unfortunately they only have two types of sub rolls, White Italian or whole wheat. I went with Italian for both subs and found it soft and far too plain in taste. I would suggest they carry better rolls, like sesame covered, or hard crusty rolls. Their sub sauce is just oil and vinegar put on separately; they also sprinkled on some oregano. It wasn't that thrilling. I suggest they work on a tastier unique mix to offer. They did provide me with a tasty garlic Mayo sample in a cup, but I'm not really into Mayo on my subs. The good news is the meat inside the sub is of very high quality. Both the Italian and Turkey/Roast Beef subs tasted pretty good, and I give the top marks to the Italian sub, as it had a bit more meat. If these guys make a few tweaks to their roll offerings, and sub sauce, they'll be just perfect! read more

Very disappointed. We asked for a BLT and got a sandwich with a few scraps of soggy, undercooked, fatty bacon, overripe mushy tomato slices and a ton of shredded iceberg lettuce. Sandwich was soggy and flavorless. He got the pastor with chicken salad, it wasn't bad, although the bread tasted stale. I've been here several times. The subs are decent. The combinations are good. The whole menu is absolutely original. But on more often than not the stuff and even the owner have been rude. We were so excited to come check this place out, our friend recommended it. We came all the way from fort myers to Naples and didn't realize their closing time however we arrived 20 minutes before closing and didn't plan on sitting just grabbing our food and sitting outside or in the car. The girl working INSTANTLY made a rude face and rolled her eyes the minute we walked in, didn't acknowledge us and looked so angry. The floors were already mopped and everything was closed even though there was 20 minutes (which I feel like is a fair amount of time) before closing.
