We recently tried Palumbo's for a take out dinner and we weren't disappointed. The place is clean and inviting and right after walking in, I was asked what I wanted to order. They have tables for dining right outside the restaurant and the decor is something you might see in a New York pizzeria. Their menu has lots of favorites like appetizers, salads, subs, dinners with spaghetti, ravioli, chicken Parmesan and a nice selection of pizzas. I decided on pepperoni pizza with an antipasto salad and was impressed with the quality of their salad, it was loaded with greens, meat, cheese and everything you'd expect in a good antipasto. Some pepperoncini would have added the perfect touch, but maybe later. Anyway, it was one of the best antipasto salads I've had in a while. The pizza was loaded with pepperoni and had a good flavor. The staff is helpful and this restaurant filled up fast while I was waiting on my order. We're going to visit Palumbo's again, and I'm definitely looking forward to trying more of their menu. read more

Have been to Palumbo's several times recently. One time I had a Calzone, to go. I thought it was a pretty good Calzone, just what I would expect. Another time we came and had a Margarita pizza and a cheese and mushroom pizza. The Margarita pizza was pretty good. The cheese and mushroom pizza had canned not fresh mushrooms on it, why? No bueno. Another time I had the spaghetti and meatballs. This comes with a side salad that was pretty good. The spaghetti and meatballs were good as well. On this visit, service started out strong but after my food was delivered I was forgotten by my server and he didn't respond to multiple efforts trying to flag him down. I went to the cashier to pay and there was some mixup on my bill that took at least five minutes to figure out. Fairly basic pizzeria decor. Will return and try more menu items. read more

We had a great experience at Palumbo's! We came in on a Sunday night around 6:30 with a group of six and we were seated immediately. We quickly ordered garlic knots to start off and they were delicious. Our server, Nina, was with us shortly and we put in our pizza orders. We tried three different kinds of the 16 inch thin crust. I got the Hawaiian and it was delicious. The sauce was very sweet but good and there were lots of topping options which I appreciated. It's a very casual vibe and everyone is super friendly, there were definitely a lot of regular recurring customers. Came as a recommendation from friends in Naples. Very clean dining room. Wasn't busy at the time on a Monday night, and order was prepared quickly. On our last night in Naples, our grandson requested pizza for dinner. Palumbo's Pizzeria was the first on the list and closest to us. It is in the same strip mall as another review of mine for Skillets. They do not have delivery. I called in our order and it was ready in about 20 minutes. We always request our pizza's to have a crispy crust and they got it right! We had the basic large cheese pizza, the sauce was very flavorful. The decor inside was old world modern. They have indoor and outdoor table service. The smell inside was of garlic and sauce. I wish we could have tried more of the menu. Restaurant is in a good location as you can see it from the road. We ate there one evening on our way back to Marco Island. Ordered pizza and a beer. The pizza was ok but not very tasty. Took a calzone to go and was good reheated the next day. Stopped in again a couple of days later. This time we ordered chicken parmigiana and spaghetti with meatballs entrees. Sadly, the dinner was not good at all. Both plates contained overcooked pasta. The meatballs and the spaghetti were both mushy and lacked flavor. The chicken parmigiana was as thin as the cloth napkins provided with dinner. It was smothered with marinara sauce resembling a stew not a sauce. The overcooked ziti was topped with grated cheese. The table had lots of condiments including grated cheese. If I wanted to add it to my pasta I could have... why garnish it with cheese? The final disappointment is that there's a 3% credit card fee. Something I was not aware of the first time. I did not see a sign about this policy anywhere in the pizzeria. I only recognized it when the bill came. All in all the food is ok not great but, the place is packed every night of the week. I must admit my calzone was good reheated the next day. read more

First time to Palumbo's and it is by far the best pizza that I have had since moving to Naples. Crispy, light, thin crust with just the right amount of cheese and sauce in the perfect proportions. The chicken parm dinner was extremely generous and delicious. I love the carafe of water at the table and the really cool faux paper plates. Despite the reviews, we really do like the pizza here. Both the regular crust and the Sicilian are very good. The antipasto is also excellent. Service is great and the servers are always friendly. We have been in Naples for 3 months and this is by far the best authentic Italian food, with the best (and fastest) service, with a staff that is willing to do anything you ask for: and our hidden gem Nina, who we insist on taking our orders and focus on coming in when she is working. I ordered eggplant rollatini and a regular cheese pizza, they must have changed the sauce and the cheese they use because the pizza was absolutely terrible, the eggplant was dry and flavor less, I have not noticed the older lady that owns the place not around anymore when she was there the quality was much better. read more

Palumbo's is a family-owned Italian restaurant in South Naples. It's a local gem. It's small and cozy which added to the comfortable atmosphere. Its super clean and they have a nice bar where you can sit and watch the action. The team is very friendly, attentive and understand the importance of customer service. JoJo and Becky are great servers and always make us feel at home. We've been here to pick up and eat in. Never once were we not greeted or were we ignored when entering the restaurant (which is VERY COMMON in Naples). The food is delicious and fresh. The change the oil in the fryer daily and you can tell as the calamari is wonderful. Evans is the master pizza chef and makes a great pizza. Highly recommend. read more

I called Palumbo's Pizza at 5:15 to order a pizza for pick up @ 6:45...knowing I would get there at 7....the girl who took my order couldn't comprehend 6:45 and said 7....I said fine. I arrived at around 6:55 after having an amazing massage at Massage Luxe - in the same plaza. I paid for my order at at 6:58:11 & stood by the register waiting for my pizza....another customer arrived ....there was confusion with her pick up order because they did not have her order correct...I was still waiting for my pizza and asked the girl if my pizza was ready. The pizza maker turned around and looked and me and said it would be ready in 5 minutes...he was making putting the cheese on my pizza as he was saying this ...All BS....I asked if the pizza was in the oven and he said no he was making it now...I demanded my money back...these people are highly confused.....There are too many exceptional pizza places to go to...stay away from this one.
