We were in the area and wanted an authentic Ruben. We split a hot Ruben which had plenty of meat and kraut on the sandwich. The side we had were Hungarian slaw and German potato salad. Both were tasty but the potato salad was severe cold. Also tried a slice of apple strudel, good, not too sweet. I had a slice of chicken and beef tongue head cheese, which were delicious. They had a nice selection of hot entrees on the steam table that looked good and a great selection of German meat, staples, and candies. If you are in the area, this is an authentic German deli you need to try. read more

The owners who run the truck are incredibly friendly and passionate about the food they serve. The sauces are packed with flavor. The saffron rice is fragrant and addicting. If I was on a low carb diet, I would lick the sauce on the rice. Plantains had a hint of cinnamon. Beans are good. The sliced beef is thin, lean and flavored nicely with a red mojo sauce. Drove down from Fort Myers today to where the truck was setup in Naples. Even though it was raining well worth the drive to finally get a real kosher corned beef sandwich. Fresh made rye bread with 1/2 lb. of corned beef couldn't be beat. Food was fabulous and still have 2 containers in refrigerator of chicken noodle soup. Will definitely be back, much closer than driving to St. Petersburg. read more

Jewbans Deli Food Truck was the featured food at the Oil Well Brewery in Ave Maria tonight. The Oil Well Brewery offers delicious sandwiches during the lunchtime hours and hosts food trucks in the evening to provide food offerings for their customers to enjoy while sitting and sipping from their 20 offerings of beer, wine, ciders and sours. The Jewban menu was extremely limited. Five sandwiches, a potato knish and kosher pickle. I understand the few choices with the limited space in the confines of a food truck. The pastrami sandwich sounded delicious, so my husband went outside to order two sandwiches for our dinner. We were celebrating a birthday tonight. As guests arrived for the celebration they also placed orders at Jewban. Twenty minutes after our order was placed, friends who ordered meals ten minutes after us were notified that their sandwiches were ready and they came to the table with their sandwiches. Confusing, but we waited patiently for our buzzer to go off. Fifteen minutes pass and still no buzzer notification. After 40 minutes I left Oil Well, walked out in the rain to see if perhaps we'd missed the notification for our meals. Oh no...Julie gave me an explanation that the order our friends had placed also included a corned beef sandwich, so their order was sent out with one pastrami and one corned beef so the corned beef wouldn't over cook. What? Illogical. She pointed to a covered pan of pastrami that was steaming and stated that it takes time to heat it. She pointed to our paper written order third in line and said it would be ready when it was ready. We waited OVER ONE HOUR for two pastrami sandwiches! Julie was so annoyed and bitchy that my husband questioned her about our order after 50 minutes that she tried to refund our payment and cancel the order. We finally received two pastrami sandwiched after an hour. The only reason we ate was due to Julie's inability to figure out how to produce a credit for our purchase. Two pastrami sandwiches at $18 each, plus a generous 25% gratuity up front. $46 to BEG for food! Time for this team to reassess their customer service and "passion for hospitality". . read more

First of all, Julie and Ray are super nice. We have tried almost all of their unique menu items. They have all been fantastic! Two weeks ago,at Momentum Brewery, I mentioned to Julie that I love soup and especially matzo ball soup ...she said "if you're coming back in two weeks I will bring a special order for you". Great service. Great food. I was at Naples Beach Brewery with my family and they were the food truck at lunch that day. We were looking for something to snack on/share, and it didn't look like anything on their menu would work. They were so kind to offer to make us something shareable. We had a delicious Cuban sandwich cut up into bite size pieces with an great dipping sauce to go with. They also put some plantains on the plate as well, which were amazing! SO FABULOUS! We got JewBans food truck for a house party. Julie and Ray were great to work with beforehand and did everything to make our event wonderful - planned menus, created paper menus for our guests, set up a self-serve table for guests, etc. They were great! My Hunny and I tried the chicken sliders and Lady Fingers with guava and whipped cream. The chicken sliders were marinated in a fantastic mojo tropical flavor, with grilled mini bagels and melted cheese. They were so flavorful and tender with a bit of mustard. The lady fingers were light and airy, with a messy smear of sweet guava and whipped cream to compliment their flavor. It was a simple, not overly sweet dessert. Never again. Yes the 2 owners are super nice but it's probably because they drink while working. Normally I wouldn't give a crap except that the sandwiches we got were horrible. We got the Cubans. Bread was sliced very uneven so the bottom was much smaller then the top. Therefore it didn't cook the same in the press. And the pork was way way way overcooked. So when put on the press it got even more overcooked and was like rubber. Seriously, have a beer at the end of the night, not a 6pm. And shame on the bartenders who gave them beer. You only hurt your reputation as well in the process. Maybe it's an accepted thing in the craft brewing business that everybody involved drinks on the job but in my universe that usually only leads to problems and poor product. Having lived in South Florida I am used to good Cuban food and Jewish deli's. Jewbans Deli Dale manages to provide a delicious combination of both!! I had their Pastrami and my girlfriend had their classic Cuban and they were both amazing!!! Not only is their food delicious but you can't help but love The owners Julie and Ray!! Jewban's catered an event we attended last March and we liked the food. So when we came back down, our daughter and her boyfriend wanted to try it too. We checked out their schedule on line and saw the truck would be at Riptide Brewery and decided to go. The menu on Saturday was limited due to the threat of more thunderstorms but we tried 3 out of the 4 items on the menu and couldn't have been happier. The Want It All is a a half pastrami sandwich and half a Cubano. The pastrami is home made and a family recipe. Both sandwiches were generous sized portions. We had the steak platter ( steak covered with ham and melted cheese)which was served over saffron rice with a side of "out of this world" black beans. The beans were slow cooked and steeped in yummy spices and flavorings. The Double Dog had a Jewban twist-covered with black beans and coleslaw. Think all beef hot dogs kicked up several notches. Jewban's is like eating at my grandmothers' if they were a Jewish and Cuban but with a modern twist.The owners, Julie and Ray love making and sharing their food with people. They are super friendly and genuinely nice. We like supporting local small business owners. Hoping to try out more of their menu at the Collier County courthouse for lunch. read more
