Jerk chicken, rice and peas, cabbage and plantains.

I tried this for the first time via Fooda at work. The Hawaiian ribs were EXCELLENT, but unfortunately this wasnt available when I tried to order via uber eats. I opted for the jamaican jerk chicken (sauce on the side because spicy isnt my friend). The chicken was juicy and well seasoned. Loved the plantains - these were the highlight. Please add the ribs to the menu!

Genuine service, and the food is excellent! Great breakfast and lunch spot. Haven't tried their dinner menu yet. We'll be back for sure! We love coming here.

A few of their brunch items. Included all of the basics, plus some nice surprise items like bbq ribs and jollof rice.

Finally found a good Sunday brunch in Oak Creek! The deets: We've been here twice now, once for a Sunday brunch and once for breakfast. Both times the service was _outstanding_ and the food was very good. The only things we didn't like are 1) the location -- it's not in the "main" Oak Creek area, so if you don't know what you're looking for you're unlikely to find it and 2) the breakfast and lunch menus are a little small. Not tiny or limiting, but a little smaller than I think most people are used to now. That said: The all-you-can-eat brunch buffet was simple but included all of the basics (scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, house potatoes, french toast, fruit, etc.) and some nice "extra" items (Hawaiian bbq ribs, jollof rice, chicken, fried plantains, and more). Plus, it also included made-to-order omelettes, waffles, and pancakes from the kitchen. I had waffles and they were tasty. When we went for breakfast, we both had the spinach and goat cheese omelette (I think it's called "The Heart Healthy?" -- it has more than spinach and goat cheese, I just can't think of what else is in there at the moment), and it was very good. Served with toast and a side of potatoes w/ onions and green peppers. Ample portion and great flavor with lots of fresh ingredients. Good coffee too! A family-owned business run and staffed by a family originally from Ghana, they also offer Caribbean and West African dishes for lunch and dinner, we just haven't been able to try them yet. We're excited to though, and have high hopes. Definitely worth checking out, especially if you're looking for a good brunch in Oak Creek!

3.75/5 I have to…read moregive the disclaimer that I am Jamaican so this review is likely more picky. Overall, I will say the service here was really good in a Saturday night but there was not a huge crowd. They made sure we were well taken care of and my friends enjoyed the drinks. As for the overall food it wasn't my mom's kitchen but it was still solid. I do wish there cabbage had some more flavor and that jerk chicken had more of Smokey flavor that you get from true roadside chicken. Overall for Milwaukee I think this place is worth a try to see if it fits your tastebuds.

I visited Pepperpot when I was walking by and noticed they were a new addition to the neighborhood…read moresince I had last passed through. It was a Friday night but I was the only dine-in customer when I first walked in. Later a few more came in and there was a steady stream of takeout customers. The building is very spacious and has room for plenty during busy periods. The staff was really nice, even when some unrulier customers came in. They checked in on me and brought me a box right away "just in case" when I could tell I would be taking some food home. The portions are huge. I had to try their jerk egg rolls and I wanted curry chicken but they were out of curry so I got jerk chicken instead. The jerk seasoning was really infused into the chicken skin and they brought out more jerk sauce. My meal came with rice and beans and braised cabbage--I almost wanted more of those in proportion to the meat. The egg rolls were similarly large and were accompanied by sweet chili sauce. I only ate one of my two to save room for my entree and took the other one home. One quirk to keep in mind is there's an automatic 18% gratuity for all dine-in orders, even for one person. There were signs everywhere but I still almost forgot when I got the bill. There's a bar and there seems to be entertainment for the bar crowd as well. Would like to try the salmon or the Rasta pasta next.

Visited Sabor Tropical Restaurant recently for dinner on a Sunday evening…read more We were immediately greeted and seated. The restaurant itself was impeccably clean and welcoming. I started out my experience with their Pisco Sour. I prefer the Peruvian style Pisco Sour (with egg whites and bitters), they serve it in the Chilean fashion (sans egg whites and bitters). It was aok if that's the style you prefer! For our starter, we got the tostones rellenos, which were the star of the evening for me. So flavorful with just the right amount of heat. Perfection! For my main dish, I got their salmon tropical, which is grilled salmon over whipped potatoes with cilantro, mango, onion, and avocado on top. It's also served with asparagus, which was pitch perfect. All in all--it was a fresh and tasty dish! For dessert, my dining companion and I opted to share their nutella flan. I found it to be overly, cloyingly sweet and wouldn't likely order dessert here again. The service was attentive and the prices were reasonable. Get to it!

The place has outdoor seating in front and the inside has a nice bar with big front windows and tables/chairs. The bar menu for a tropical restaurant had a small tropical drink menu I thought but the strawberry mojito sounded good. The strawberry mojito was good but for all I know it was a kiddie cocktail because it didn't taste like an adult beverage because it didn't taste like an alcohol beverage. The blond woman with the hypnotic/beautiful accent working the whole room by herself did a great job. The menu has so much good stuff on it that it's hard to pick a dish so I opted for the Latin inspired signature sampler which is empanada choice of meat, steak quesadilla, tostone ralleno pork, three mango bbq wings and tostones. The food took a bit to hit the table but it looked good when it did. Everything was delicious/flavorful and seasoned nicely. I enjoyed everything on the plate so it's hard to pick one over the other except the wing's because wings are everywhere. The pork was moist and seasoned nicely as well as the tender steak quesadilla, it's all very good. Overall I really like my lunch and I'm so glad that I stopped for something different and they did a great job.

Butler WI…read moreis not known for a diverse food scene and this Jamaican restaurant is way out of place to start with. The place has a cool lounge vibe and probably the coolest place in Butler WI. My service was friendly and fast. I would have to go with the classic jerked chicken meal as my first time trying the place that comes with jerked chicken, mini hot corn on the cob, rice/peas and cabbage. The cabbage was probably the best from a Jamaican restaurant that I can remember because it was spicy. The corn cob was also very good because it was cooked in a broth of some sort and very different from regular corn on the cob. The rice and peas were also good with some spice but lacking any depth of flavor. The jerked chicken was good with moist meat and that classic dark skin but it needed the jerk sauce on the to get its flavor potential on point. Overall was the food good, yes. Was it the best jerked chicken no because that south side place is still my favorite. Would I go back for more of the menu, definitely.

We had the jerk ribs and the brown stew chicken with rice, cabbage, corn, and plantains--every single thing was packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. Service was excellent from start to finish, and we got to meet the owner, Jessica, who was fun, friendly, and clearly passionate about what she's built. Highly recommend--can't wait to come back!
