Franklin Guitars has been my "Go to" guitar shop for 9 years. They've sold & advised me on some great guitars & accessories, as well as have taken care of my sizable instrument collection. The owner Pat, works miracles in his repair shop. I recently took my Martin D12-28 to him. I was considering trashing it, selling it, or giving it away. Due to age, the binding had separated from the body. It had numerous other problems. I asked him to get in well enough shape, that I may possibly sell it. It's now perfect again & I now love it! It's again my main guitar & once again & I play it all of the time. I have Pat to thank for that. I've seen before & after photos of some of his amazing work on guitars that looked barely salvageable & were restored to almost new condition. AMAZING. Awesome place. Will NEVER go anywhere else for guitar work again. I am sitting in the parking lot of this place writing this on my phone, THAT'S how good of an experience I had. I wanted the action lowered on two acoustics and a strap button put on. I called 6 different places around town, each one quoting me prices ranging from $50-$60 for the setup (action adjustment) and another $10 for the strap button. I called Franklin Guitar and Repair and was quoted at $25-$30 for the setup and $5 for the strap button. What a steal! So I took both guitars. He looked at one and said all it needed was minor adjustments, which he did right then and there for free. The other, he kept overnight to adjust and add the button. I picked it up today. $15 TOTAL. What a wonderful person, awesome shop, honest, quality people. And for a steal. Cannot recommend enough! read more

Learned about Pat through a buddy. Pat quickly became like family. And I soon learned about his restoration and setup skills. I take all my guitars for setups and restro just to Franklin Guitar and Repair. I also was amazed at the large range of gear he offers that isn't like your average GC type. Everytime I went in I saw something really cool that was new that was almost unfindable, if not 4. I bought an electric guitar, an amp and a setup within a month of knowing Pat. Great selection and service! If they don't have it, you either don't need it, they'll find it, or they'll make it! Spectacular repair shop. Great service. I had my Cordoba setup, and had the nut replaced. The team at Frank Noone was friendly, Communicative and efficient. My guitar was delivered back to me by Greg in 6 days. He was super friendly and went above and beyond to make sure my cordoba sounded brilliant( fixed the buzz in my strings and lowered the action). This setup is significantly better than other shops I've been to around Atx. I'm going to bring in my electric guitar for service next! read more

My Ibanez S770 had a bad neck bow, and needed a set up. It features a proprietary double locking Zero Point bridge with a built in trem setter. Makes a Floyd Rose look like child's play. Dropped it off on Monday and picked it up on Tuesday playing better than ever. Dave does great work at a real reasonable price. read more
