We contact them regarding and they were very rude and disrespectful even hung up on us because my mom didn't speak any English as call back for her and the proceeded to be a jerk and already told you we don't have anybody stop calling. Avoid this company if you can. Be aware, they will sell your mortgage to the highest bidder so you will not have any customer service from Franklin once they have your business. They actually sold my mortgage to a debt collection company called Shellpoint. And Shellpoint is the sloppiest, worst run company I have ever run across. I was told on the phone that the loan number they used to correspond with me doesn't even have my name on it! Who in the f*** do they think has been paying the mortgage? Franklin Loan Center? Because that is the name on the check they sent me when I sold the house. Maybe I should not even have paid the mortgage and have had them bill Franklin Loan Center each month? If you are considering using Franklin Loan Center, ask them who they are going to sell your loan to before you make your final decision. My experience with Franklin Loan Service has been a nightmare and I hope nobody else has to go through what I have been through. Being shuffled off to Shellpoint has been the worst real estate experience I have ever had. None of the Shellpoint agents speaks fluent English and they treat their customers like garbage. WHY? "Based upon my SIXTEEN WEEK completely "dysfunctional home purchase experience with Franklin a one star rating would be way too generous. This company was referred to me my realtor at Malbec realty. HUGE mistake not looking for my own finance company. During these 16 weeks after being continuously mislead by their finance representative that I was qualified for a selected home purchase I experienced weekly gross negligence, forgetfulness, unprofessionalism along with an uncaring attitude I was finally notified after FOUR MONTHS of finance approval delays that I did not qualify for financing at Franklin. Very sad for all involved especially the sellers who stuck with me during this 16 week Franklin financing circus! Shortly afterwards, I choose my own finance company ( Dignified home loans) which approved my home financing in 8 weeks compared to Franklins SIXTEEN WEEKS! We were brought to Denise Goodman with recommendations from our agent at Malbec. Denise is a nice lady but we soon discovered that there were far too many gaps in communication, odd misremembered items, failed follow-ups and sloppy mistakes that could have been disastrous (an email with our highly sensitive information she sent to a random Christopher, not my husband Christopher). We tried being patient knowing there's a pandemic, maybe she's overwhelmed or nearing retirement, but the final straw was her leading us to believe she was helping us with our credit. We asked her to expedite certain letters to reporting agencies clearing up old credit errors, which is called Rapid Rescore and makes corrections within 3-5 business days. When she took our letters and said she'd take care of it we assumed this is what she was doing since mortgage brokers at other firms readily do this. Instead, when we pressed her later, she said she was sending hand written notes to them, not a fax or email or official rescore mind you, which resulted in a big fat nothing--countless hours of our work with creditors and not a single change actually reported in the 30 days it took to close. Rapid Rescore costs brokers money, we understand that- but to pretend to be expediting our information is completely unethical. Of course, a lower credit score means a higher interest rate and more money for the bank which Denise tried to minimalize by saying things like "it's just $25 difference a month." I tried reaching Walter the owner who didn't take my call but sent me to her manager Mark, who mostly covered for her and said he'd give her additional training. What a disappointing, frustrating and exhausting experience with this company - and a lesson learned to ask questions when people or situations feel off because they probably are. read more

I would give this company and particularly my loan officer, Jarrod Leitch, more than 5 stars. The amount of documentation needed to buy a house since the 2008 crash is truly amazing and yet he walked me through each and every document. It was truly an exercise in patience and how he does this day after day with client after client is remarkable. We were very disappointed and dissatisfied with our Franklin Loan Center experience. Starting with the fact that we were not told that the closing would be pushed, then it took much longer than expected (original closing date was 9/16 and was pushed 11 days to 9/27). For this 11 day delay we had to pay for flight changes and air bnb, meal etc. costs since we're from out of town and live on the east coast. Then, Franklin couldn't get us an underwriter for a day and on top of this Fannie Mae had a day long technical issue (and Franklin tried to push this off on them and take zero responsibility for the additional delay). Finally, Sean Teague said he would drive our docs to escrow in Riverside CA, and then said he would courier them when he actually Fed Ex'ed them. Sean Teague was ok in trying to get us concessions, which we appreciated, but VP Mark Renner was extremely unprofessional when we called him, he yelled at us and even refused to pay the seller's $600.00 per diem ($200/day) late fee when this actually occurred because Franklin delayed the process (by 11 days altogether). And on top of this, this all occurred during our 5 year wedding anniversary which Franklin could have cared less about. Overall a very negative experience and we will be telling any friends or family moving to the Coachella valley to stay as far away from Franklin Loan Center as possible. read more

We had been pre-qualified for a VA loan and Franklin Loan Center was recommended. What started out as positive journey ended very badly. After months of looking for a VA approved property we found the right home and our VA loan agent at Franklin said the property was VA approved. After a long negotiation process with the seller, we came to terms. As we entered escrow, we were informed the property was NOT VA approved... We had already sold our house, rented back for a week until our escrow was to close and then had to move out and find somewhere to stay. The escrow lasted 4 months and we had to stay in hotels and with relatives (with our small dog). The property was finally approved with the VA, not an easy process and with NO help from Franklin Loan Center or our loan agent. We had enlisted the help of our Congressman, Dr. Raul Ruiz, and one of his staff worked very hard at communicating with the VA office. After 4 months all was complete and we closed escrow. We were told by our loan officer we could be compensated for some of the additional expenses we incurred because of the delay in getting VA approval. Well, after many emails and phone calls, we still have not been reimbursed and our Franklin Loan Center agent will not return any emails or phone calls.
