This is who we use when in need of a septic pump and today, service was completed. Owner does a good job from start to finish. Owner will always ask, "why do you need your septic pumped"? And you'll share your concerns and he'll let you know if it's a septic issue or not. Saved us some $ a few years back. So thank you. Overall, very transparent & flexible. Worked with our schedule, even when I had to change it. If he has an open slot on the day he's out doing jobs, he'll reach out by text and ask if your available for a pop up, that's pretty cool and that's how we got our septic pumped today vs another day. I would not recommend Franklin Septic Tank. The service was terrible from the beginning. I called to get an estimate1/11/23. I went through the appropriate channels to get the size of the septic tank. Called back to get a date of service. I was told to text the available dates. I did and didn't get any response for over a week. I texted back to ask which date on 1/19/23 and was told the 1/24. Today is the date you would think things would go smoothly. Wrong! ! I get a text message about 11:20 am stating do you want your septic tank pumped in about an hour? I wrote back eta 12:30? Then get a phone call saying he's in cartersville and it would be an hour that's why I wrote approximately. I don't know with traffic. I said ok. Do you think you will be here by 5 pm? He said mam I don't know. Yelling. If you can't be flexible you need to reschedule. I already told you I can't give you an estimated time I can't give you a 30 min out call. I just hung up. I don't tolerate yelling. There are too many septic tank companies out here to be disrespectful to their future clients. I just asked three questions. If you needed more time a simply asking can I reschedule with you would have been fine. The attitude and yelling over the phone weren't warranted. read more

I purchased my house in October thinking I went through all the proper channels of inspecting this home therefore I was happy to purchase it 2 1/2 months after my family lived in this home. We started having septic problems although the previous owner stated the tank was emptied in 2019. I called a company out to empty my tank. They informed me that I had a major field line issue and wanted to charge me $10,000. They also stated that it is very obvious the issue has been going on for a long time. I started doing some research and come to find out there is no way possible the prior owners did not have any knowledge of the issue two weeks after I emptied my septic, it was full again my cousin used Mr. Franklin and recommended him to to me. I called Mr. Franklin and explained the situation and he was very upfront and honest and told me he had a very busy schedule, but I after speaking with him I know I would not trust someone more than I did him. He is very knowledgeable with 47 years of experience. Guy has terrible customer service skills. He insults you, over sensitive, and mocks you. Never seen anyone behave as such to potential clients. Called him 11pm because it says 24/7 service. Gives you attitude and calls me a kid for calling this late. i'm 35 years old.. I'm calling late because of an emergency. Need to schedule someone to come pump my tank in the morning. avoid this place, he sounds like a couple days away from retirement and doesn't care. read more

Herbert and his son Scott did a great job both times I used them. First they came out and pumped my tank same-day on a holiday for no extra charge. After dealing with permits, soli samples, etc they came and gave me a quote for the full fill line repair. Very reasonable price and they did the work the following week. Works great months later and Scott did a good job of leveling the dirt after the excavation. Note: you will need to plant more seed/sod after the job or ask them for a quote to repair the grass. A septic repair is a serious undertaking. read more

Called him to get septic tank pumped. He started asking me questions and not waiting for the response kept talking over me, assuming that I didn't know where my tank was. He said "oh I thought I asked you that". Informed him that he didn't wait for an answer, because he had 4.8 stars I went ahead and told him to come out. He told me to send my address and he could come mon or tues. When I text him to give him my address, he never responded. Monday morning he sends a text saying "you still want it done in about an hour or so?" Working at night, I didn't wake to a text so when I saw it I called him asking if he could still come. He said no he wasn't gonna come when he didn't know if anyone was home, but we had already talked about him coming. Said he didn't have anything now for another 5 days. And said "well ma'am what did you want me to do"... be professional sir. Don't know how you have almost 5 stars. read more

Franklin Septic was highly recommended by my neighbors, so I called Mr. Franklin and had him come to our house for a routine septic service. We purchased the house three years ago, and thought it best to have a periodic pumping done. We learned from Mr. Franklin that the homeowner before us built a retaining wall over the edge of the tank rendering him unable to access the full tank. All he could do was pump out the exit chamber, and he recommended not wasting our money. If a problem arises, then a more expensive process of digging and sliding the tank top laterally would need to be done. He then added that he could not undertake such a labor intensive process. A nice, honest man giving us his knowledge and advice, and wouldn't accept any payment. Very appreciative. Although we didn't use him, I would recommend calling Franklin Septic. read more
