    Pulled pork
    Sara N.

Made a U turn to try this place after driving by for a decade. I'll admit the interior was nicer than I imagined for a bbq joint on Colfax. I had pulled pork. It was a little dry but I slap coleslaw on pulled pork anyway. And my god.... The coleslaw is the kind of coleslaw you dream about. The building of fairly unassuming but you walk inside and it smells delicious.

Can't recommend this place enough! We got a whole roasted pig for a big event and it was fabulous! The meat was incredible and the sauce was unbelievably delicious. Frank was also super helpful and very pleasant to work with. Thank you for making our event so special!

    Pound of brisket.

I got a pound of brisket, I didn't like the way the cuts were. It felt like these were just scraps.

Chicken wing from their catering tonight.

Raw chicken from catering at this restaurant. Glad I didn't eat any. The other meat that I tried was cooked fine, but the chicken was raw.

Franks catered our grad party and it was amazing! We did the pig roast for 100 people, it was an open house so hard to estimate exact number of people probably closer to 175 or so, there was plenty of food and it was delicious. They were so easy ( and enjoyable) to work with, highly recommend!

Frank's catered our large company party on a Friday afternoon (70+ people). We had a pretty good spread of chicken, brisket, pulled pork, shredded beef, beans, slaw, chips, brownies, cookies, tea, and lemonade. Food was set up and delivered right on time by a very courteous and professional young man whose name escapes me. It was a long trip, so he had to work pretty hard to get everything to the pavilion. The quality of the meats was good- tender and somewhat juicy with some smoke flavor. The brisket burnt bits were the most flavorful, and as far as catering BBQ goes, better than most. The pork was not over done and still had a good chew to it without being tough. The weak point was the sides. The beans and slaw we're very institutional with little depth of flavor, and the cookies were good but nothing remarkable. The lemonade tasted like a cheap country time mix. The sauce was decent, but lacked depth of flavor. Given the quality of the meat and the exceptional service, I would not hesitate to hire Frank's for a large group.

Medium sized pig first half carved. Fed about 17 people so far and plenty of meat to go before digging into the back half.

These guys did a GREAT job catering our pig for our family roast! From ordering to delivery everything went very smooth. They were there on time, the pig was still hot and full of flavor. He even came with a little pair of sunglasses on lol. I would recommend using them for your catering needs!

I've been checking reviews for a number of years here on Yelp, but have never taken the plunge myself. After lunch at Frank's today, I decided it was time to start. I'm a complete self-confessed BBQ snob. I have a hard time finding decent 'que here in Denver. Been all over and always leave disappointed. Until today. Had the brisket and sausage combo with beans and slaw. The portion for the price was great. I've had BBQ all over Texas and Frank's brisket is up there with the famous guys. Not only was the food good, Frank took time out of his busy day to chat with me about hickory vs mesquite, Denver BBQ and such. I immediately liked him and wanted to support the business in the future as much as my waistline can handle. That was before he brought out a piece of chicken for me to take home and try. Which was just as good as the brisket, if not better. Color me impressed. Brother's is across the street. Not even a contest. Grab a box to go and support a great local small business.

    Refreshing lemonade.

Her quote made sense and it was easy to understand and adjust and her way of pricing service was logical and reasonable. When we needed to add ice at the last minute she was helpful and accomodating. The food was amazing. Everything was tasty, hot and there was an abundance. I have to say that one of the best parts of working with Mile High was the service. JoLynn had a team of 3 come out to help us. They were super helpful and worked hard to ensure everything went off without a hitch. They even helped us with desserts and beverage that we didn't purchase from them. If I could give them 10-stars I would. They were so helpful and we felt like a team. Also, because our event was at a ranch location and a little more difficult to stage, I appreciated that JoLynn and Madison met me on site to do a preview of the location. They even brought the chaffing dishes and service items so that I could set up the buffet line with decorations. This was truly an unexpected level of service. TLDR: Unprofessional, not very gracious with mistakes and disorganized in the proposal process…read more I reached out to TBD Foods in the last week of September 2025 for a wedding in Denver in August 2026 after working with him in 2018. I am from Denver but live in CA currently and am planning from afar. Sent an incredibly detailed inquiry with day-of event timeline by hour, menu ideas, location (just a few blocks from their prep kitchen) and a bit about the event. Received two separate responses from he and his wife, Holly, seeking details already provided in my initial inquiry like guest count, location, time. Sent several emails back and forth clarifying capabilities, menu ideas, rentals etc. and finally had to set up a call in October (initiated by me after many proposal mistakes) to align. There was constant confusion regarding the style of the event and rentals - TBH, the many proposal revisions due to their mistakes maybe should have been the hint this might not be the best fit. But we went ahead! Terrence was late to the call on October 15 but let me know ahead of time and I genuinely didn't have an issue with it. After aligning, I paid $100 to have a menu tasting on Monday, December 22 when my husband and I would be visiting Denver from CA. So, this is a tasting that has been on the calendar for at least a month. When we arrived at our tasting (after confirming via email the week before and day of) 15 minutes before (6:45p) the scheduled time of 7pm, Terence is irate. Mistakenly, the event in my calendar was in PT (since we live in CA) instead of MT. He says that he refuses to serve us because we have "disrespected him and wasted his time and he has a 4-month-old at home." He continues to say that we are disorganized and lack care and that in addition to not offering a tasting, he will not put in the effort to cook for our wedding after how we've treated him. We are SUPER apologetic - this is something we've spent money on, confirmed via email and have been looking forward to. When asked why he didn't call to check on our arrival time, he said he "doesn't have my phone number. And you confirmed with Holly so that should have been enough." Because I filled out an entire inquiry on their website and spoke with him personally to schedule this tasting, it's BUCK WILD to say that you don't have my number and think sending an email is problem solving enough. We would have literally hopped in the car and been there in 15 minutes had we been given the courtesy of a phone call. All of this to say, we made a mistake, were very apologetic and were treated super rudely and given no tasting despite paying. 0/10 for TBD Foods.

TBD was a great fit for my husband's 80th birthday bash! I'm unsure how they managed to pull it all…read moretogether, but everyone was raving about the food. A seafood boil, with added clams & lobster, was the chosen hit for the birthday guy! Holly & Chef Terrence were very accommodating with special requests. (NOTE: adding lobsters -- may want to request TBD to pre-cut tails and mallet-crush claws for easier eating.) Guests mistakenly ate a special brownie-stacked birthday cake before the presentation, but Chef Terrence jumped in, salvaged, and created a 'deconstructed' cake with candles that served and entertained us well! Big thanks to Holly & Chef Terrence, owners of TBD, and event staff. You're wonderful small business purveyors who work hard and deliver a memorable culinary experience. Continued success!

So, their pricing was in line with other high quality meals and it serves 10-12, which is perfect for 8 people on Thanksgiving ;) I ordered the whole roasted turkey (they have several types of turkey available) and the side dish bundle which included mashed potatoes, sage stuffing, praline sweet potatoes, green beans almandine (with tons of yummy bacon), gluten free gravy, cranberry relish, and brioche rolls. The non-contact, drive through pick up the day before Thanksgiving was staffed by very helpful, friendly people wearing masks. They put my order on my back seat and I was through the line in less than 10 minutes. When I got home, I immediately started unpacking everything so I could divide it up into "to go" orders for my family Zoom on Thanksgiving. I thought the turkey was frozen and started to panic but when I called them, they said it was not really frozen but very chilled and the shrink wrap made it seem frozen. They had me submerge it in hot water for about an hour. The directions say to heat it in the oven for about an hour, then tent it to rest, then slice it. Since I didn't have time for that, after it warmed up, we were able to slice off enough for my daughter's family so we could give her her share when she dropped off the pies. I split up the meal 4 ways and with her pies, we delivered everything just in time for our 1:00 pm Zoom. We all had different favorites for the food but we all agreed that everything, including the turkey (after we each heated up our own part) was delicious. My favorite was the praline sweet potatoes. They were creamy and had a great praline flavor and came with candied pecans to sprinkle over the top. I highly recommend this complete meal from Tony's and it would have been so easy if we were having people over. The fact that I had to divide and package it up made it a little more difficult but still much easier than cooking. They are offering more meals for the holidays that include turkey or prime rib, beef tenderloin or Applewood smoked ham. I'm betting they are all delicious! Thank you Tony's for making my pandemic Thanksgiving so much easier! You are my new "go to" for family meals.
