They treated my son with so much care, which meant more than I can express. When my toddler started having a tough time, I called my husband to come help. Without hesitation, they accommodated all three of us for haircuts. We were in and out in no time, and every haircut looked great. The atmosphere is amazing. The shop is filled with Mount Vernon history and legends, giving it so much character. More than anything, this barbershop embodies community. Remy was patient with him and very friendly. For the 1st hair cut my son refused to sit in the chair, but Remy improvised and gave him his hair cut while I held him in my arms. I tried going back to Remy for my son's 2nd cut, but he was closed on Sundays, so I tried someplace else and was told by this other Barber, at this other place, that he didn't "have time for that". I realize it can be challenging cutting kids hair, but this guys response was totally offensive to me. This Barber behaved like I was asking for a free service. I personally get my haircuts with Mr Tomas, he's great at listening to his customer on what exactly they are looking for and takes his time to make sure he does the best job he can do to satisfy the customer. Across the street there is a gasoline station and on the right and left side, some real good Spanish food.
