He is doesn't have any ethics. He said vehicles would be ready after changing the certain part and I asked multiple times to confirm it. He confirmed it, but after replacing the part , he said there are lot of issues associated and can't repair it and asked me to pay lot of many to release it . I have paid everything. When someone reached to purchase my vehicle he is explaining everything making sure sellers doesn't buy it which is not his business to do it. The most difficult task when you are new in town is to find a new, reliable and honest car mechanic that also knows their stuff. I mean, who do you trust with your 4-wheeled babies? Well, in addition to these glorious yelp reviews, I had a couple of other people also recommend Frank's Car Care, so when I was due for maintenance, that's who we called. The first time we brought our Honda in as it needed a new alternator. We actually had an alternator with us that we had bought the night before, however Frank had better parts for cheaper than we had paid for the one we brought, so needless to say, we decided to bring our "cheap" alternator back where it came from and go with Frank's instead. When we did bring the other alternator back to the store, they did admit that the one they gave us was a brand that came back a lot ..... So we instantly knew then that Frank's prices were as good as anywhere else but his quality is better. So there you go. Anyway, a few days ago I dropped my truck for maintenance service and I also thought I needed a new battery. Well, turns out it wasn't the battery after all. (Again, huge points for not changing something *I* thought needed changing just because I said so, could have been an easy buck for any shop and I would never have known any better...) To make a long story short, I've had a problem with my truck intermittently not starting. My previous mechanic had problems diagnosing it, because every time I brought it in, it would start right up for him. Well, lucky for me, my truck decided not to start for Frank! How can I be happy about that? Well, finally my truck refused to start AT the mechanic's place so that it could finally be diagnosed. It was confirmed that it was indeed a bad fuel pump (which had been a suspicion before). The price for a fuel pump came in over $100 cheaper than what I had been quoted before. He also found a few other issues with the truck that needed to be taken care of. He said these issues could definitely wait (since I was already spending a lot for the fuel pump), however I didn't see any reason to put things off if they have to be fixed anyway, so I gave him the green light to fix everything. I've kept my truck going for 13 years without any problems, and it's because I take care of issues before they become big issues ;-) Anyway, I was very happy with Frank. He did not do any work without calling first. Also, he explained everything really well, there was no mystery explanation as to why things needed to be replaced or changed, everything he explained was very clear. The truck ran so smoothly after I got it back, it was almost weird to drive it without any jerking or weird wobbling, and best of all, I should no longer get stranded anywhere with a truck that won't start. We'll definitely be using Frank's for our repair needs going forward. I also want to add that in addition to being a great and honest mechanic, also a nice and friendly guy. I feel very comfortable recommending him as a mechanic to anyone who should be looking. read more

My suburban broke down with my kids on our way to Colorado. I found frank nearby on yelp. 1 hour later truck is as good as new. Frank fixed it on Saturday at that. Friendly and competent and fair. I had been hesitant to take my car to get the cruise control repaired, since I had a recent experience with a shop in Leander that wanted to replace the entire unit without any diagnostics. The cost would have been expensive with the part and labor. I went to my number one source for reviews - 'YELP' and he had a great review. I decided to give Frank a chance as he had all of the characteristics I look for in a business: friendly, competent and fair price I stopped into Frank's shop on the way to work and he said, I can take a look at that today if you can leave your car. I was thrilled. I made accommodations and dropped the car off in the morning. I received a call later that afternoon. Frank actually diagnosed the issue! That is a skill many mechanics and shops do not possess today. It was actually a brake light switch that was causing interference with the cruise control. Who would have known. I completely agree that Frank is friendly, very competent and am very satisfied with the cost. He is reasonable. Thank you, Frank. I will be back! read more

Honest, hard-working hands guarantee that the labor is done right- no bs, he just wants his customers to be 100% satisfied. Good reviews/ratings and friendly conversations among community members have kept our doors open for 3+ years without any fancy advertising! Even our business signs are handmade by his grandkids! If your vehicle has a problem, give Frank a call- I kid you not, he can diagnose most minor issues over the phone with a good enough description of the problem! He's a true "old school mechanic"! First, let me tell you that I am 100% satisfied with my first experience with Frank's Garage. The exterior door handle on my Silverado broke off from the door and was dangling from its perch. I called 3 local GM dealers for service. Dealer #1 kept me on the phone for 30 minutes to schedule a repair visit. They told me to expect $200-300 and I'd need to leave my car for 2-3 days to get the work done. Dealer #2 experience was basically the same. Dealer #3 took only 5 minutes to schedule but said to expect my car to be gone 1-2 days. I didn't understand why I'd need to leave my vehicle over night for such a small job that was "scheduled". I then called a larger auto repair chain in Cedar Park. They couldn't give me a quote without seeing the vehicle, but assured me they could get the vehicle back the same day. I decided to just go buy the part and see if my son could do the install. After we got the part, I reconsidered and decided to find someone near me in Liberty Hill to do the work. I contacted Frank's garage who, within a minute, gave me a quote over the phone and said he could fix my truck the next morning. I arrived at Frank's about 8:40am and he called back in 35 minutes saying the work was done. Everything was fixed. Wow.......wow.......wow.............no hassle and someone who does what they say they'll do at a VERY reasonable price.....much, much lower than what the dealers told me.
