I've used Frank for over 5 years. He is honest, knowledgeable and affordable. In addition to that I like that he is local & family owned.

no hassle and someone who does what they say they'll do at a VERY reasonable price.....much, much lower than what the dealers told me.

I could write this review in 3 words... Small Town Service. People who grew up in a small town…read moretypically knew the one mechanic to go to for great service, fair prices and an honest assessment of the service to be performed. That mechanic would come out to greet you when you entered the shop while wiping his or her hands with a rag. You would be greeted by name, after you'd been there a time or two, and you would have a quick conversation, not to talk about the repairs to be done but just to catch up. Well friends, this is that mechanic in Liberty Hill. His name is JD. My truck is 12 years old and has started having things go awry that are simply due to age and long use. I've bounced around from shop to shop hoping to find a mechanic like JD. I've visited those shops you walk into only to be greeted by one of the sales guys who are simply there to inflate the number of repairs that are needed and to convince you their high prices are justified. You get none of that from JD. He asks for the symptoms of the problem and then he gives a quick assessment of the problem based on his years of experience vehicles similar to yours. On my first visit I immediately knew he understood the specific problem with my truck because he'd personally made the same repair many times. Probably the best compliment I can give JD is this is a shop my Dad would have taken his car to for service. He would have appreciated the simple, honest relationship he could have with him knowing he could count on him to take care of his vehicle quickly and efficiently. That's my experience. I believe you'll experience the same if you take your vehicle to JD.

UPDATE to owners response (Check Photos):…read more I strongly dispute the claim that my vehicle had "years of neglect." I have documentation showing I received consistent oil changes and maintained the vehicle. If Christian Brothers is going to make that public statement, I am requesting that you provide the specific records, dates, inspection findings, and supporting documentation you are relying on to claim neglect. My concern remains the same: I paid for major repairs, the vehicle failed shortly after, and my concerns were not meaningfully investigated. I am not asking for assumptions -- I am asking for documentation, accountability, and a fair resolution. The central issue is the timing. I drove my vehicle without engine failure for months before bringing it to your shop. After relying on your diagnostics and authorizing nearly $4,000 in repairs, I picked the vehicle up and the engine failed within a day. Given that timeline, attributing the failure to "years of neglect" without supporting documentation is an overreaching conclusion that appears designed to shift blame rather than address my concerns. I repeatedly informed the shop that I was preparing for a long trip and wanted everything thoroughly checked before approving repairs. I was told further diagnosis could not be completed until the turbo work was done. After the repairs, I was told the vehicle was good to go, which led me to believe all necessary inspections had been completed. The engine failed within a day of pickup, which is why I continue to question whether everything was properly diagnosed before the vehicle was returned to me. _____________________ My experience with Christian Brothers Automotive Leander has been extremely frustrating. I brought my Hyundai Tucson in for major repairs totaling nearly $4,000. Before authorizing the work, I specifically asked that the vehicle be thoroughly diagnosed and that any known issues or potential issues be identified so I could make informed decisions. Shortly after the repairs were completed, the vehicle developed severe engine knocking and became inoperable. The timing alone was alarming. I expected the shop to take my concerns seriously and work collaboratively toward answers. Instead, I was largely left to manage the situation myself while dealing with towing expenses, rental costs, missed work concerns, and the stress of being stranded with my child. The biggest issue for me has been customer service after the failure occurred. Communication became difficult, and I felt that my concerns were dismissed rather than investigated

‼‼$40,000 in DAMAGES -- Engine Destroyed, Vehicle TOTALED by Capitol Automotive's Negligence‼‼…read more In March, I took my BMW to Capitol Automotive for a simple oil change -- and they completely totaled my car. They failed to reinstall the control valve inside the oil cap and used a cheap, poor-fitting aftermarket oil filter. This caused severe internal damage -- metal shavings were found in the oil, and the engine ultimately failed. BMW confirmed the failure was due to poor oil control caused by that missing valve. To make matters worse, their handling of the situation has been completely unprofessional and unethical. Instead of standing behind their work, they've shown how untrustworthy and careless their process truly is. Instead of owning up to their mistake, they've now resorted to accusing us of spreading lies about their business -- which is not only false but completely immoral. Trying to discredit customers rather than taking accountability for their own negligence is beyond unprofessional. It's embarrassing, and it says everything about the way they operate. This was not a small mistake -- it was complete carelessness that totaled my car. What should have been a simple oil change turned into a $40,000 disaster. Do not trust Capitol Automotive with your vehicle. Legal action is already underway.
