This guy's a pro. He brings along several special-purpose power tools that enable him to get the job done in a timely and effective manner (to my eye, anyway). He came recommended by a friend, and he's been in business forever (more or less). He offered my wife good counsel on the types of flooring that she could choose from. He put new flooring in our kitchen, and left the room cleaner than it was when he arrived: No scraps or other detritus for us (the clients) to take care of. He's got a power tool that moves your refrigerator (without tipping it) from here to there as though by levitation. Seeing that done is almost worth the price of the ticket. :) He charges per hour about what you'd expect to pay a skilled auto mechanic. Installed new tile and attempted to install tack strips and re-lay the carpet where it now meets the tile. It didn't go well. I can't seem to cut a straight line, or properly stretch the carpet onto the tack strips. Had Frank properly install the carpet edge and it now looks perfect! Definitely would recommend. read more
