Best food, best service hands down! If you need a casual weekend/breakfast joint, Frank's will always reign superior. To the point where whenever I try anywhere else in the area I say "I could have had this done way better at franks." I crave it nearly every single weekend I kid you not. Everything is awesome, but the breakfast burrito with either falafel or chicken shawarma is my favorite. I love the foule, it's so delicious also! You seriously can't go wrong with anything here. If you go though, you HAVE to try the hot sauce. It's home made and delicious, I wish I could take a bottle of it home! Finally, what sets franks apart from every single no frills breakfast place I've ever been is the staff there. After years of going, I genuinely feel like they are family. So I have tried a couple of Cleveland diners all over the greater NE Ohio area and pass this place a few times a month without realizing it was a diner (thought it was just a falafel place). And therein is the lesson of don't judge a book by uts cover because this place looks too small from the outside and isn't much to look at. This last weekend I came here to try it for breakfast on the recommendation of some of my friends who were with me and I was pleasantly surprised. Walking in it wasn't too busy on a Sundah at 9am, and there were maybe 2 other tables that had people sitting in them and they just said grab whichever seat you guys want, so definitely a plus there, I mean no wait and you get to pick your own seat. We were greeted by a friendly waitress and had some menus given to us. Now their prices are super reasonable so we ordered some breakfast and I personally had a gyro along with some breakfast sausage and wow was it delicious. Like my gyro seemed to be freshly made, the veggies were still crisp and not soggy and the meat was juicy and warm. 5 stars would recommend the gyro. They also have a great breakfast menu and their salads are delicious (I skimmed off my friends plate). The food came out quick, was delicious and the service was great. I come here almost every weekend. If you're looking for a "mom & pop breakfast spot", this is the place to be. It certainly isn't anything fancy, but the food is good and the staff are great. I usually go for breakfast, and they offer all the staples you would expect, but it's also a great lunch option. They have Mediterranean options like shawarma, shish tawook, and of course the titular falafel. But if you're really hungry, go for the Mixed Grill which is basically all these things and more. I really enjoy Frank's. My dad randomly found it a few years ago while doing some work in the neighborhood and the fam has been coming here ever since. We usually get the Franks special Mediterranean platter for 2. It comes with some schwarma-in-pita, falafel, grape leaves and your choice of hummus/baba and tabouli/fatoush. Everything is good and fresh. The garlic sauce and the tzatziki sauce are the highlights of the meal. Ask for extra. Prices are reasonably low at $10 or less for an entree and the platter for 2 is $21.99. Definitely worth checking out. Bonus that they have their very own (large) parking lot because it's near a trendy area where I'm sure parking is a pain. read more

I walk in and no one acknowledges me ,the place is not full it's literally just one table that is being served. I grab my own menu , I look over the menu. I am still not being acknowledge . The young chik at the cashier along with her coworker are just having a full-blown conversation. I Stand there for exactly 10 minutes no one acknowledges me . No how can I help you nothing at all . I really like Frank's Falafel House, especially since they have non-meat options. I tend to order the same thing each time I go (falafel wrap, veggie rice and grape leaves) but they're so good!!! The establishment is a small, diner-type restaurant, very clean and ample parking. It's on a corner lot which makes it very visible. It seems to be a neighborhood favorite. The owner is friendly and oftentimes comes out from the kitchen to greet customers. It had been a while since we visited (due to the COVID-19 pandemic), but we visited yesterday and we were very pleased to see that all the workers were wearing masks & gloves and as usual, the establishment was very clean! Have stopped by here twice in recent months, both for take-away and each meal was tasty, freshly made and very reasonably priced. Frank's seems to have a wide selection of menu items covering breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Their breakfast meals appear to be a real bargain (can't wait to give them a try!). Considering it's down the street from my job I was a bit surprised to realize I had never been to Franks. In dire search of some hummus and a salad I entered this establishment on a cold winter day. I was warmly welcomed by two ladies and placed an order to go right away. I think my salad and hummus took all of 6 minutes which is amazing for me since I was in a crunch for time. My buffalo chicken salad was lacking some chicken, I think they definitely could have been a tad more generous but I was starving and not in the mood to argue. The hummus was amazing, so fresh I felt like they were in the back mashing up the chickpeas as I ordered . The inside of the establishment needs a major and I mean MAJOR overhaul. It's outdated and gross, not welcoming nor is it inviting . Price wise it's a great spot, but with all the competition they have with west 25th and Gordon square I expected more of a Shabbang from Franks and unfortunately for me they fell short. read more

I went out of my way while passing thru Ohio to get to Frank's for lunch. I had to wait a few minutes for a table, but the meal was well worth it. Lunch was great: I got the special gyro burger, which had enough delicious protein to set me up for a week. If I'm traveling within a hundred miles of Cincinnati, I'll get to Frank's somehow. A reviewer said Frank's is in a crappy neighborhood which I don't agree with. I really like this neighborhood. The breakfast is very cheap, the way it should be. This is such a great, neighborhood, Mediterranean-based diner, with delicious freshly made food, great service, and unbelievably low prices. The waitstaff is enthusiastic, friendly, and attentive...sometimes it seems that they were placed by Central Casting....so if you feel awkward being addressed as "honey" or "sweetie", regardless of your gender, either avoid the place or take a breath and just enjoy it. The menu is varied and manageable, not consisting of those what seem like hundreds of pages that one sometimes finds in diners. You will find typical selections like burgers and all-day breakfasts, and they are all really good, but it really are the Entrees like schwarma, gyros, kibbie, etc. that are the star attractions. For all intents and purposes this is a 5-Star "Diner review". I ventured here on a mission to try their breakfast- past the hipster donut and beer place, the new age "brunch" spots, and even past several "good value" places, all so I could arrive at what looks like from the outside to be a revamped Pizza Hut from the 90s. But sometimes those are the best places! And Franks really delivers- it's a classic mom & pop style diner that serves Mediterranean food alongside traditional American fare. The menu is large and varied and they have seasonal specials such as the delicious sweet potato pancakes we had. The food we ordered- a western skillet and a veggie omelet with gyro meat added- came out hot, not too oily, and delicious. It was actually super impressive how fresh and well cooked everything was. The staff (who told us how she personally made the cinnamon butter for the cakes) was attentive and nice. They have a wide array of food, from standard burgers, steak & eggs, to Mediterranean and healthier options. Honestly, I've only gone here for breakfast/brunch and for $2.99 you can get two eggs, bacon or sausage, a good amount of hash browns, and your choice of toast. French toast, pita & hummus platers...
