Heading up 684 from LaGuardia and needed NY slice right away! Yelp reviews were positive so we gave it a try. Not disappointed in any way. First, they were open at night and served by the slice. Just a short drive off the highway, their pizza was exactly what we needed, kept it simple, just a slice of cheese and they did it right. Crust was perfect, everything else was correctly portioned. This spot was bomb. Among the many pizzeria and Italian spots we got the most flavor and bang for our buck. I'm pretty sure we were ordering with Frank himself as he was super helpful in asking questions and pointed us to a menu to help out with deciding - we just couldn't decide! My husband got a slice of Chicken Bacon Ranch which was SO GOOD. Try it if you are curious. I'd never think to put ranch on a pizza like that, maybe to dip, but it was goooooood. The garlic knots (which was claimed to be a special) were ACTUALLY really special. They had buttery goodness and garlic within each bite. And the flavor was actually there - I feel like some garlic knots are just bread. Oh, and the marinara sauce. Damn. A little spicy but not too overwhelming. Lastly the Margherita pie. Sheesh. It's obvious after tasting their food for the first time that they use quality ingredients; which has not changed since the beginning of the pandemic (which unfortunately; I have found to be the case at other places I frequent often) The staff is top notch, very friendly, knowledgeable, and most importantly; customer service oriented. I had a special request this time around, chicken francese pizza! They were more than happy to accommodate. I will continue to frequent Frank's when I am in the area, its best to shop small, and it's a great feeling to support local business during these trying times. Crunch! Crunch! Pizza lunch! We stopped in for a pizza and an Italian sub on our road trip based on yelp reviews and we were not steered wrong! We got a half cheese/ half pepperoni pizza. I don't know how to explain this any other way; my 7 year old ate TWO slices and actually ate the crust! It was amazing. Side note: They do not have a bathroom which I was going to ding them a star for as a deal breaker, but I can't. It was just so good and it was worth taking my five and seven year old out of the car twice and using the gas station bathroom. Thanks for being so kind to us! I'm over Frank's. I used to order all the time for every occasion. Salads, pizza, soups, wedges, trays all delicious. But then, I received a pie with a hole in it, yes you read that right. It looked like a donut. So the next time I went to place an order, another rather large order, I mentioned to the manager about the incident and could he make it right. He proceeded to tell me there was a hole because it got stuck in the oven and pretty much it was my problem. I asked to have Frank call me since he was not going to help and I never got a call. I even stopped by to leave my number in person and I got nothing. So from that day forward, they lost my business. read more

Naaa , no menu costs @ all , only that they will penalize you 4.50 for a light order. Then , the kid who delivers the food thinks I'm giving him $ 9.00 tip on the 60.00 I gave him for a 1.5 mile delivery. I delivered thousands of pizzas in high school , I always give a good tip too ... But this crazy. Is this some crazy employee building an Ark or something ? Or does this guys think his pizza is that much better than the guy down the street. My answer ... Naaa , Parm gets a 6.5 , Pizza gets 6.3 , total score = 6.4 / 10.00 .. Franks is our go to pizza place in the area for takeout or delivery. The pizza is delicious and I highly recommend their chicken parm meal. The salsa are wonderful and come with a generous portion of grilled chicken. This is more of a take out and go place than a sit down and dine restaurant because they don't have a bathroom. If you eat there and need a bathroom you have to go next door to another bar/restaurant to use theirs. This was a problem when I was there with my kids having dinner and one had to use the bathroom because that meant everyone had to stop eating and walk next door to use the bathroom. I read more

They just started doing cheesesteaks according to the menu and it is this writer's opinion that they got lots of room for improvement. Inadequate meat to bread ratio, steak overcooked, not enough peppers. onions or mushrooms and the American cheese was tasteless. Had a side of Marinara sauce to compensate but t it was way too salty. All in all Not worth the $9 asking price. On a positive note they were getting plenty of pizza business and Wifey sorta liked her slice. Hope they read this and work on improving the cheesesteak. In Brewster for hockey and had an hour between games. Came to Franks for pizza / pasta. Friendly staff, Frank was making a pizza as we walked in. Had one slice of the Arthur Avenue (sausage and cherry peppers) at their recommendation and the pasta with sausage. Both were great. Pizza has great crisp crust, good sauce and good balance of heat and flavor. Pasta was prepared fresh and had great tomato sauce and good portion. read more
