a chocolate covered ice cream sandwich in a paper bag

Totally deserves all these great reviews. They moved locations into this huge space with chocolate and homemade ice cream upstairs and candy downstairs. Their homemade ice cream is the star of the show, like what you'd get in Wisconsin. Old fashioned, dairy, creamy, fresh, goodness. Their chocolate is also very good, not top-notch but close! The dark chocolate rice crispy bar was my favorite for sure, would buy a bunch of these. 5 stars!!!!

I have nothing but incredible things to say about this place. As a chocolate lover, I have had my fair share of chocolate, but there's is seriously some of the better tasting ones I've had. My absolute favorite thing to get from here are the milk chocolate sea salt caramels. They have the perfect amount of salt so if you love salty sweet combos, these are just right. This place also bring me back to my childhood because they carry a brand of chocolate that I used to always have as a kid. They are super hard to find so I love that they are available here. Besides the amazing chocolate items, they also have ice cream, and other fun candies such as sour and sweet treats. Another cool thing is that the shop is located on the main strip in Ridgefield so there is a Lot around and the shop has its own parking lot.

I'm obsessed with this sweet shoppe. My friend brought me in here as part of his town tour and I left spending over $50. But soooooo well worth it. So many different Harry Potter candy options, and the back room with all the candy is a can't miss stop. We also treated ourselves to some ice cream and I got a flavored cone with the Pride flavor for the month. I was a little disappointed because I got the orange cone and not the pink one I wanted, but it was still tasty.

Very good ice cream, truly the best in the area. Has a large variety of flavors, and the downstairs is a candy store.

It has none of that 500-year old cigarette fumes have been seeping into the woodwork-type that you may find in Paris. Tazza Cafe is brilliant and squeaky clean, though not bright inside. Tables are for no more than 2 people (max!). But there are a few tables outside along Main Street and you might be able to snag an extra chair for a trio business meeting, or so. As has been noted, Tazza Cafe has lots of delectable sweets, baked goods, croissants, sandwiches, paninis, cookies, stuffed items, salads and Italian noisette biscotti to dunk in that Java! All the items are neatly (and I mean in rows :) ) displayed behind luminous glass. The items are not marked by name and price, which is a bit of a stumper for normal customers (I can tell by experience) - but in my book it's okay if they rotate items periodically or change their places depending on what is selling that week. Two gals were running the bar-high railed table: one was nocking out the orders and payments, the other was running the espresso machine. My order was a double Espresso and a sweet Linzer Tart (I always get them since my Grandmother used to spoil me with them). Although my espresso at Tazza Cafe only very barely reached a HALF (tiny) cup - it was strong. It was pungent. It had almost a kind of plum and barky flavor. It tasted thick & good. The coffee station however was a mismatch of space for local papers and news taking up the space for cream and milk and syrups (which was oddly missing). The interior fits the town of Ridgefield. Upper-scale. Suave. Lots of mirrors and glass and black surfaces. This is no riff-raff shop like out in Cali! At first I thought it may be a *chicks-preferred* type of puppy-pink peony-kale & baby food smoothie-type coffee shop, but NO there were groups of dudes languishing in chairs with cigarettes and lattes taking a break. Arrived at 9am and there were 8-9 customers. One thing: that entrance door is tough. Weak armed elderly customers with not much strength had trouble yanking it open from outside. Me, I had trouble getting out with a cup in one hand and a bag in the other. Hey proprietor: Oil the door or lower the jam! That said: Tazza Cafe serves il caffe perfetto e un po' forte in this chef's review! Tazza Cafe's top notch. Review: 5+

The article references the Savoy Hotel, Danny Meyer's hospitality group, "the pursuit of excellence," and repeated commitments to quality and consistency. So I thought perhaps, at long last, the espresso situation had been resolved. Reader, it had not. I ordered a Cortado to stay. "Would you like that in a mug for here or a paper cup?" An encouraging start. I then positioned myself beside the espresso machine like a wildlife documentarian returning to observe a rare but persistent behavioral phenomenon. The barista dosed the portafilter, then tamped the coffee while holding the portafilter in midair, applying what appeared to be approximately the amount of pressure required to test whether an avocado is ripe. He locked it into the machine and pressed start. Brown liquid immediately exploded from the spouts with absolutely no delay whatsoever. The shot was over in roughly four seconds. For those unfamiliar with espresso, this is generally considered suboptimal. The resulting Cortado tasted primarily of hot milk and faintly burnt coffee sadness. After two and a half confirmation sips, I quietly left the remainder on the counter and departed. At this point I no longer review Ross's espresso. I monitor it.
