The food is good however they are completely unable to deliver on time. They say 50 min to an hour and they show up in an hour and a half. Other pizzerias mange delivery times within a reasonable window, not sure why they can't mange this. I'm switching to another pizzeria. Can't do this anymore. read more

This is the best spot for pizza in Somers whether you are dining in or taking out. The prices are very affordable, and the pizza is a thin crust with a myriad of combinations of toppings. We used to order from Sal's quite often, but took a break after an unsatisfactory delivery. Last night was our second delivery since using them again, and we had a repeat of the reason we stopped the first time. We got a decent size order and the dishes were put on top of the pizza. The cheese on half the pizza was stuck to the top of the box. I called and was offered another pizza, but refused it as it had taken well over an hour for the delivery to arrive in the first place. So I was offered a topping the next time I order. Topping does not equal half a sicilian pie. Won't be calling them again. read more

My wife and I placed a catering order for our daughter's 2nd birthday party and everyone raved about the food. We ordered six large trays, chicken marsala and francese, eggplant rollatini, sausage and peppers, baked ziti and penne vodka for around 40 people. Pickup was prompt and everything was hot and fresh. I was totally turned off when I asked to have a pie delivery and was told I needed to add more money to the order for a delivery ($20 min.). I literally live down the block and during times like COVID I am not dragging my young children into a restaurant to pick up a pizza. I am a generous tipper so it would be worth their time but I was denied a delivery. The food was always good when we ordered from there but I was totally disappointed. read more

I can't yet say this is my new pizza spot because I didn't order a plain cheese pizza but it was very delicious. I ordered a chicken ranch pizza and it was good, the chicken wasn't the best so I wouldn't recommend this topping but the cheese and crust were cooked perfectly. read more

Have been here a few times and each is very consistent. Really enjoy their garlic knots and marinara sauce. Pizza is really awesome.

Honestly, the food is half decent, but I will tell you that the service and organization is terrible. I call in an order for pickup once per week. Every time I go, they argue with me and what my name is when i get there 30 minutes later. So the food is never ready on time and I always have to wait 15-20 extra minutes. Tonight really got me though. I ordered 3 slices of pizza for my kids, thats it. I get there after 20 minutes and they can't find my order because they never put it in the over. This is literally every time. They are not friendly at all, never smile, give attitude, and I am pretty done with it. If it weren't sooooo convenient, I wouldn't even go there again. read more

Having lived in the Bronx and worked all over Manhattan I have experienced really good New York Pizza. When our family moved up to Somers in 2010 it was impossible to find pizza that was comparable to what I was accustomed to. Enter Sals Pizza and Pasta and I have finally found New York Pizza that I don't have to travel 45 minutes to enjoy. Pizza is made with home made dough (thin crust!) delicious sauce and fresh ingredients all served by friendly staff. Entree specials are also terrific options that never disappoint.Sal runs a terrific family owned business and I'm happy to see him do so well. read more

Not the best pizza I've ever had, but as far as Westchester pizza goes Sal's is pretty solid. They definitely are one of the more consistent places around. Pricing could be better as some other reviewers have mentioned, but then again most other places in town charge around $20 for a large pie too. I've been spoiled by all of the awesome pizza in Brooklyn and Manhattan so my opinion is somewhat jaded, however even having experienced what I would consider the best of the best pizza in the country I still always enjoy a slice from Sal's. I think that's pretty high praise considering how insanely good NYC pizza is. read more

I live a mile from this place. I ordered a large plain pie for pick up to give the place a chance. I was shocked when they charged me $16.64 for plain pie to go. I paid, of course, and brought it home. The pie was good but not good enough to pay two and a half dollars more than the other five pizza places that are within a mile of my home. It is a shame because Sal's would be so convenient for me. I am writing this to help the owner out. Normally I would just not come back and the owner would never know why. Hands down, the Best pizza place in Somers (and beyond)!! No matter what you get here the food is delicious. The prices are very reasonable and the customer service is amazing!! Was disappointed when Patsy sold this place many years ago (place was formerly called Patsy's Pizza and Pasta). However, I was pleasantly surprised when Sal's took its place. The pizza is slightly more expensive than the surrounding area, but the quality is definitely better and worth the money. Maybe over time this place can lower their prices and become more competitive with the other pizza joints around town. Highly recommend! read more

I have only tried the pizza so far, but we LOVE IT. The owner used to work at a pizza place in Goldens Bridge that used to be our favorite - but we have not been happy there for most of this year. We decided to get our usual order here (sausage and roasted red peppers). When I walked in to order, Sal said " I remember you. I used to make your pizza when I worked at Goldens Bridge". He proceeded to make a pizza like we used to get and we will be BACK FOR SURE. read more
