The store looks great but the old staff was always willing to help and give advice on products for how to's. Was there a few days ago and I asked an associate for help on locating what I was looking for and was told to go down "that" aisle then she completely disappeared lol I wanted to make sure I had the correct item but no one around to help w/ questions... I've lived in Fraser Park for 45+ years and Ace Hardware has always been the place to go to. They have everything and if they don't have it, they can get it. The new owners have changed the store completely and they've got more inventory of stuff that I used to have to go off the mountain to get at like Lowe's, but not any more. Their prices are more than reasonable for the amount of money it costs and gas to go off the hill. It's not worth going off the hill to get something that they have in stock. Everybody's very helpful and when my contractor friends come up from the city. They say this is the best hardware store that they've ever been to and that's saying something as far as I'm concerned. read more

I just payed $17 for a box of Christmas lights When I got home I looked up the price for the same box of lights at Ace Hardware They were $10 I was overcharged! A lot!! When they open I will be there for a refund read more

Taking an RV trip and needed to fill the propane tank on the RV we rented. Ran in, asked for help, they sent someone right out, topped us off and we were on our way. Great service! read more

Good service and polite staff. They know right where everything is and are willing to help. Propane refills are very reasonably accessible.

The store is price gouging everybody that lives in the town they should be ashamed of themselves. It's time we put businesses like this out of business and report them to the local authorities and turn them for price gouging it's ridiculous that we have to have a store like this that all they think about is their profits and some of the staff are completely rude and arrogant. RUDE, RUDE, RUDE! Absolutely the rudest experience I ever had at ANY Ace Hardware Store. What happened to the days when the local hardware store could and would help you achieve your home project. I asked a guy behind the counter with help finding material for a small project and he acted like an absolute jerk. I can't say enough about this Ace. I am from the big city and would get lost in hardware stores. No guidance of any sort. 20+ years ago I moved here and I found that my little Ace Hardware was a gold mine of information, resources and great people behind the counter. Consistent, thorough, knowledgeable and everyone has a smile and greats you. During the Pandemic our little Ace was closed or rather curbside. It had been such a steadfast part of my life on the mountain that I actually was depressed. During this time I found out how valuable this family run business is to myself and our mountain. Employees have always been nice and helpful. The store has never refused a return and it is nice to have UPS and FexEx shipping points in Frazier Park. Items are just overpriced and I find myself waiting until I need to go to Bakersfield or LA to buy hardware items if I can wait. read more

Our household likes to support small businesses, but this one will not see us ever again. It is not the first time that we have experienced an undesirable outcome here, but this last one was simply unacceptable. The store's website indicated a certain product or part was in stock. After spending the $4 in car fuel to get over there, we were told the part was NOT in stock and the woman at the counter LAUGHED about it, and did not offer to assist, nor apologize for the inconvenience. The tone indicated she was laughing at the customer who was obviously lacking in judgement to have trusted their store's website. The moral of the story is, after the $8 for the round trip to and from your store and not being treated with general regard, Amazon will get my money, not this store. It's no laughing matter when a store says they have something and a customer wastes an hour and money to go there. The manager/sr sales staff should have offered to order the part and SHIP it to my house. That's customer service! read more

I've shopped here a number of times and it's always been a good experience. Saturday AM, about 8:20, it was the best ever experience. A newly hired employee (manager?) had just opened and was sorting items on a shelf. I asked where one of my items was and he took me right to it. Then led me straight to 3 or 4 other items on my list. Finally he quickly made 2 keys for me. Kurt and Harry I believe are the owners and they've been doing a great job with this store. Most big box stores don't offer much in the way of tech support. Even the owners of this hardware store will walk you to the appropriate aisle, where you can make a decision which supplies are best, for the goal you're trying to accomplish. Good advice is priceless. From cutting keys to tools and gardening supplies, check the local Ace before heading into town. You'll be surprised how many items are in stock and if not they can order as well. read more

This is a great place. We had an emergency with our RV on the grapevine and desperately needed materials. As soon as we entered the store, we were quickly greeted and asked what we needed. Eddie was the staff that helped us with our emergency situation. Eddie provided excellent customer service and he treated us more of close dear friends than just customers. He was personable and attentive. When we received our materials, we were fixing the rv on their parking lot for about an hour or so. Eddie impressed us by coming out of the store to follow up on our status and offered suggestions.
