It's a great place! They have a lot of fresh fruit! Their own wine selection. And many other items since they redid their whole store.

I love the pieces. It is good price and delicious!!!!!. I will stop by everytime I am in PA.

I decided to stop here one early Friday afternoon. I heard so many great things about it from friends and wanted to see what the buzz was about. This is a sweet little gem of a place. Not only are there fantastic flowers and herbs outside - but delicious delectable and adult beverages inside! Gorgeous fruits, veggies, and pleasant pastries don the inside. Savory samples of scones and breads as you enter. I picked up a few plants, herbs, and some cider - filling my little cart with total happiness. Tonight was our first time there. We are a family of 5 and the prices were reasonable to pick apples and enjoy some of the kid attractions. We were so impressed with the cleanliness (no trash or debris), the amount of trees to pick from, and the customer service from cashier and tractor diver. This will be our go to fall activity location going forward. We have been to other u pick farms in the past and they are over crowded, very costly, and lacks service. We spent $60 and received donuts, 4 bags of apples, a few ciders, and adult beverages! I would hands down pick this place over diving an hour to be begging for fruit as the trees are baron. read more

I will preface this review with a little bit of background. I am a farm owner. I came into the store for breakfast after having completed all of my farm chores for the morning, therefore my appearance may not have been up to standard for this high class store. I was wearing my work clothes and admittedly, I was dirty. This is a very high class store with high prices so maybe they're not used to seeing folks of my low caliber coming in. Then again, maybe my appearance had nothing to do with what happened that day. I went to the counter and ordered my breakfast sandwich from a older lady who seem to be in a rather poor mood. She didn't hear my order the first time and asked me to repeat myself in a very unfriendly and impatient manner. I repeated my order to her and went about looking around the store while I waited. When I went to pick up my order there were two sandwiches sitting there. I asked her which one was mine and she said both. I told her I only ordered one sandwich. That is when she picked up one of the sandwiches and threw it across the counter and Stormed away saying some thing underneath her breath which I could not understand. I decided to leave the store at that point without the sandwich that I ordered. I was honestly in disbelief of the way that I was treated and the way she had acted. Maybe this lady was having a bad day but I'm a paying customer and deserve respect and kindness like anyone else. After leaving, I went to Brakeman's and had a delicious breakfast sandwich there and the service was very friendly. read more

OVERATED!!! Their sign offered one type of sandwich however I was given another. Upon questioning the error they attempted to justify it by saying they no longer make it rather than righting the error or simply changing the sign. The arancini balls were also served cold. This review is specific to the farm market and bakery - I have never been to the cidery or the orchard. A few weeks ago I stopped in for fastnachts because I saw them advertised as I was driving by, and it turned out Frecon Farms was having an open house. There were free samples of artisan breads and delicious cookies that were baked right there, cases of local cheeses and even locally made kombutcha which is nothing like the stuff in the grocery store, and you can ask for a sample and then take home a growler! The staff was very friendly and helpful. They have a great selection of local offerings, cheeses and vinegars and pickles and even local coffee from Lansdale, PA!) In the past my mom and I have gotten apples here to make cider and sauce, but int he future I will definitely be back for everything else they have to offer. I didn't know I could love another orchard as much as I love the one I have been going to for the last 6 years. I thought I was a one orchard kind of girl, but apparently my heart can be easily bought with on-tap cider and a pizza oven. I am such an apple slut. My yearly apple picking trip spawned a second preliminary trip because my lady friends didn't want to wait. After much research, I found a plethora of apple picking opportunities, but one was too expensive, one was too strict, one was too far, and another didn't even have a pick your own option. But then the apple gods sent me to Frecon Farms. A quick trip out 422, Frecon Farms may be the best orchard I have been to, but don't tell my other orchard. There is both an adorable farm stand and then about a mile away is the orchard. The orchard, situated on a big hill offers beautiful views while you pick. We were there on a Sunday and there was a great band playing on an outdoor stage, serenading us and the apples. Walk up to the little stand at the top of the hill to grab your easy to carry basket and then set out into the orchard with your map. Don't forget to grab a cider - they have 3 kinds. I had the Early Man, which was a straight forward, well rounded cider. If you are hungry, they also have a stone oven in the middle of the field. We didn't get a pizza, but it smelled amazing. They also have pumpkin and apple cider donuts at the stand. There was a hay playground and teepee set up for the little ones. Oh and a pumpkin picking row if you want that experience as well. Back at the stand, there are more pumpkins and fresh produce. Inside, there is wine and cider for purchase, as well as some high end pantry items. There are more donuts and fresh baked bread. I also purchased some pear cider, which was amazing and so much better than apple cider. Our second apple picking trip is around the corner, and my friends are already clamoring to go back. read more

Nice place but way over priced. Xmas cookies double the price of most places and not even real Xmas decorated cookies. Just regular ones.

Disappointed in the planning put in to last Saturday's event. Bought 6 tickets through LivingSocial. Was not notified of offsite parking. Waited through 3 shuttles (1.5 hours - arrived at high school at 12:15pm made it to the orchard just before 2pm) because there was no security at the high school to maintain order -- simply a shoving match to get on the shuttles. Nothing was offered as a consolation for the wait / disorder upon arrival. No non-alcoholic cider options available at the event. Lines for cider grew to 45 minute wait. Food was overpriced ($9 for two small sliders?). Orchard was off limits due to spraying. Since most tickets were sold prior to the event I can't imagine how you were so ill prepared and unorganized. I was there with my wife, one year old son, parents, and in-laws. Not one of us had an enjoyable time. Waste of money but more importantly my family's time together. read more

Had a lovely morning picking blueberries and cherries. The cherries weren't that sweet even though we picked in the sweet cherry section not the tart but still enjoyed them. I cannot believe I haven't been to their bakery/shop before, it was right up my alley! Everything looked delicious and I definitely didn't buy enough but will be coming back next time. Their new peach cider (alcoholic) in a can was delicious and not too sweet. We also bought their homemade apple sauce and cinnamon buns but haven't tried them yet. A little on the pricey side, but you're looking at homegrown, organic food in Boyertown. They not only have apples, peaches, cherries and veggies, but apple cider, hard apple cider, and other local treats in their store. This is our second year coming to frecon farms. The first year we got kinda lost. If you put frecon farms on your gps It will take you to their general store which is cool. There you can buy pies and other great home cooked products a little pricy but good. We had to ask for directions to the apple picking which made me feel like a tourist. As we made our way down the road and followed the obviously large signs to the apple picking area your automatically surrounded by woods and farms like areas. It's such a beautiful place. Yeah I'm I guy I said it beautiful! So last year when we went it was around Halloween and it was mobbed. So I suggest going either at beginning of picking season or on a day that's not a weekend lol. I have not one negative thing to say about this place or the people that work here. Even the customers are nice, every one is so friendly. This year we went it was my family and another family there. It was nice an quite and no large crowd. So we went up and we got baskets and a cart this time!!! If you can get a cart get it. It makes picking so much easier. They start out by giving you a map of what apples and pears you can pick and what's not In season. I'm going to give u a friendly heads up, once you start picking you can't freacon stop haaa get it. Ok that was a bad joke but it really is a lot of fun. The trees that your picking the apples from are close to the ground so it's easy picking. They do spray the tree so some of the apples have a white tint to them so I wouldn't let the kids eat them there. One word of advise. If your allergic to bees there are some there due to the apples that fall on the ground but frecon does a good job of picking them up. If you are allergic go on a day it's cool like we did last week and no bees at all. I'm Gona be honest that last time we went they were there but they didn't bother you at all cause they were to busy getting drunk off the fallen apples. So it's really not an issue at all. When you are done you go to the main area I listed in the pictures and check out. They weigh your baskets, bags, or what ever you brought. We got two large bags filled with apples for $70. You might think to your self mike what are you going to do with those apples. Well apple pies of course! My wife makes an amazing Apple pie. And to make one Apple pie. You need a lot of apples to make a pie. Plus we eat a lot of them and these apples don't go bad fast which is great. The amount of apples we got would have been triple the price in a store so it's a win. Overall it's a great experience and it's a nice way to do something with you and the spouse. Awesome place! I ordered 6 dozen cookies for our wedding couple weeks ago and they were delicious! All the cookies were the same size, huge! They were super fresh and reasonable priced! This is our 3rd year going apple picking at Frecon. In the past it was just a pay per pound type of set up. This year you purchase an empty bag for a set price and fill it up. My fiancée loves apples so we got the large bag (1/2 bushel). At first we were a bit sticker shocked ($45) but quickly realized we were actually getting a pretty good deal. We ended up with about 26lbs of apples lol. Love the hard apple and peach cider and being able to have a glass while we stroll around the orchard. Great photo opportunities all over if that is your thing. After picking we head over to the market store for some goodies. A fresh gallon of cider and some apple cider donuts (so fresh!) are always a must. Decided to get some cookies as well. I was a bit hesitant ($4.50 for 3 cookies) but after getting home and tasting the chocolate velvet cookie I was in heaven! Definitely recommend to check this place out for an afternoon of family fun. read more

Nix besser, None better, the best apple pie I ever ate perfect crust packed with apples beautiful crumbs on top it was a gift for Thanksgiving and I tell you what is the best thing I ate at Thanksgiving. My husband and I have been here many times and I cant get over how amazing everything is. The fresh baked cookies, pies, doughnuts and other baked goods are delicious. My favorite cookie hands down the salted dark chocolate and my husbands is the dark stout cherry (during fall months) but honestly we have had all of them and each are amazing. We have also had the cinnamon buns and tart cherry pie and again they are yummy! Their fruits and vegetables are fresh and top quality for sure. Last but not least we bought a zucchini plant from here and it is by far one of the best plants I have ever purchased. The plant is doing amazing and will for sure produced a ton of zucchini for us this summer. On another note the staff is friendly and the store is beautiful. Great place for fresh produce but the bakery is even better. Cookies, scones, breads and my favorite berry brioche danish. They also carry kombucha with seasonal flavors. I have bought plants there also and are doing very well. They offer baking classes which are fun and you get to take what you made home with the recipes. read more

I live close by to Frecon and I love how it almost mimicks a mini grocery / convenience store. I can walk across the street for milk, eggs, veggies, and meat and everything is local! The customer service is excellent you can tell everyone there takes a lot of pride in what they do. The U Pick experience is equally great, pricing is affordable not at all like mass agri-tainment farms like Linvilla. Frecon is a hidden gem and I would recommend just about anything from there to anyone. read more

Didn't like it I was going to throw it away (tomorrow is trash day ) but I needed a few things so I figured Id take it back to Frecon farms and pick up a few things to my surprise they wouldn't take it back I was told the pies weren't for everyone so I would not recomend this place.at least with the major supermarkets They have much better customer service and they care that their customers are happy and I guess thats why they keep getting bigger If Frecon cared about their customers they would have refunded my money and kept a customer read more

A wonderful experience!! You can pick your own apples right off the tree and wander through the orchards. It feels like Washington State! We were lucky enough to be there for an outstanding acoustic set. Nothing like sipping cider while listening to music in the most beautiful setting ever. Wow!! Please try the macaroni and cheese.
