Contacted them about a 2025 rebel dct, they didn't have the exact model in store, and weren't willing to have it ordered in. They then proceeded to give me almost the same price for the manual model as another dealership did for the dct model. I drive to Bakersfield because I can not stand Clawson but wanted a Can Am. I went in and tent on getting the RYKER sport. I test drove it, and immediately did not like it. my friends husband encouraged me to test drive the spider because that's what they had and also "just to know the difference".... I was on it 10 seconds before I decided I wanted it. I appreciated that they let me test drive it. I appreciated that they did a ride along and I was allowed to follow them because I am not familiar with Bakersfield and it has a lot of one-way streets. I believe it was the finance guy that stopped what he was doing and went with me and guided me. Harley was my saleswoman. She was great. I did a little negotiating and got a few dollars off. I ended up getting a brand new Can-Am Spyder. And a very expensive (free) T-shirt. :) I love my spider it's a toy it's fun. I believe that when you're buying something so expensive, you should be able to test drive it and Clawson refused to let me test drive it unless I had my motorcycle license and we all know that for a three wheeler you do not need a motorcycle license, they offered to let me drive it in their back area, which I could go faster than 20 miles an hour which was ridiculous so I opted to drive to Bakersfield and had a great experience. read more

Was heading out on a trip and got an oil change day before I headed out. (Yes just an oil change) said I needed a new battery so I bought one. They said it would be ready at 5:00. Showed up and no one put a battery on a charger so I couldn't take it home. Next day they delivered it to my house...sumped and leaking gas, they definitely dropped my bike or ran into something. Left side was scratched. Bike wouldn't even start. Missed my trip. They picked it up the next day and apparently the manager did all the service work. 10 dudes standing around and no one put the battery on the charger AND COULDNT do an oil change? Well, I'll definitely be back to Fred Cummings Motorsports, even though it's about a 5 hour round-trip from my home. Tommy was an excellent salesman. He quoted me an out the door price for my ATV over the phone, and never gave me any sort of runaround. I called them about a month and a half ahead of the purchase in order to lock down the ATV since it was a new model in pre-release. Tommy went out of his way to place my order with the manufacturer and get my brand new ATV to their store as soon as possible. There was never a moment where I was concerned about my purchase. Called and spoke with the sales manager attempting to purchase one of their vehicles that is in inventory. I purchased the same vehicle from another dealer and was looking to get a second for my property. The first dealer only had 1 so I called here to see if they could match the deal, if they could I was ready to buy. I spoke to the sales manager on the phone and threw email sending him the receipt for the first one. He assured me he would return my email with answer to if he could match the deal, well, that was 3 days ago and no response. If he's the "sales manager" they need a new one. I have been in sales for over 20 years and can tell you people dont want to be forgotten about when they have cash in hand ready to buy, they find someone else who appreciates a sale and pays attention to them. It was in great shape but had a sold sign in it because previous owner wasn't happy with his can-am new purchase. I stuck around for a while, during which they negotiated with the previous owner who turned it in because he was getting too old to hold the bike up. I do not recommend this place if you are a woman biker. They act as if a woman could never possibly understand their explanations. They repeatedly requested to speak to my husband about his bike after I repeatedly told them it was mine. Here is my story. I went to this place to buy a bike because my husband was gifting to me for our anniversary. I wanted the Kawasaki Ninja 400. We had money in hand. The salesperson Tommy said he did not have one so he would look for one. By the way, he was directing all conversation to my husband. A week passes by and no call. I follow up at 10am on a Tuesday. He says there are no Ninja 400s available since 2021 is coming out and just wait to buy that. BTW their sticker price was $1000 plus add'l fees above other places that I checked. So I called 2 other dealerships showing they had in stock...2 hrs away. By 5 pm I had a new bike in my garage for $2000 less than quoted at Fred Cummings. Unfortunately, I decided to use their service dept to purchase parts and lower the bike. They forgot to order the kickstand with my kit. I was promised a $50 discount for having them get parts plus installtion. Did not receive that. There is much more but short story is the shenanigans with kickstand is infuriating along with the way they, mainly Robert, spoke to me as if I was a complete idiot for the past 10 weeks. As of recent I have wanted to get a Suzuki DR650, so my bud Jer and I had been lurking about the place looking at them. We would always run into Ron the sales fellow, and he was super friendly and very knowledgeable with the products he sells. About 3 weeks ago Jeromy and I went in and took the plunge. We both waked away with brand new DR650's, sold to us by Ron. They gave us a great deal on the bikes, and the process was painless. Everybody there was super nice. So I inquire on a specific motorcycle that they have for sale and a salesman calls me to tell me that it's still available. I then jump in my car for a 90 minute drive to see the bike and when I get there I'm told that the bike sold an hour earlier. A call or text message to tell me that the bike is no longer available is simply common courtesy and would have allowed me to turn around and not waste time and gas but I guess that's too much to ask of this dealership. Just picked my Bonneville up from it's 20K service. It runs better than it ever has. I'm afraid I didn't get either the service writer or technicians name. They certainly deserve recognition. The service writer ordered all the parts and didn't have me bring the bike in until they were all on hand. At every stage of the process I was kept informed and it happened exactly as promised. When I picked the bike up every step of the work was explained to me in detail. One of two recalls had been performed on the bike before I moved to the Bakersfield area but hadn't been documented. The service writer called the original selling dealer to ask them to note the service so the records for the bike would be complete. For Triumph parts and service, go out of town. Have called 6 or 7 different times for parts now and am consistently either dropped a bunch before getting connected, quoted a price much much higher than other shops in the area, or they cannot tell me what year parts will fit my motorcycle. I had to call a shop in LA to find this last bit out which they were able to pull up in 5 min or less. The people I have spoken with seem nice enough...all I can think is that management is very poor at competing locally on Triumph parts and is obviously relying on archaic parts systems to save a penny if they cannot tell which years a part fits. This could all be completely different with other makes of motorcycle but for Triumph, this place is junk. Extremely disappointed. read more

This review is for the service department. I took my Honda 450R in for repairs. I was having a very difficult time getting it started. After checking it out they said it was a dirty carb. So they did a cleaning and installed new jets. They called me and said it still wasn't turning on so the have to go in and do a valve adjustment, so I said ok. They called about a week later and said the bike was ready to go. When I went to pick up the bike started right up which made me happy to see. They informed me it would need new valves and that I might only get a few rides out of it. Well as soon as I got home I tried to get it started to ride it into the garage and it was a no go. Couldn't start it for anything. $500 in services and for this to happen. I wish they would have told me about the valves before they put it together so I can go ahead and have it repaired. Wasted money. Makes me so mad but there's nothing I can do but take it somewhere else. Maybe my fault for not taking it to sparks racing in the first. read more
