I've been coming to adventure center for a while now and they always treat me right. They've done everything from new clutch basket to new starter to entire S&S motor swap. I also like to get my tires here they're have reasonable prices. I ride a 2000 Harley Dyna but they do everything. When I find a place that take care of the business I like to stick with them. The staff is awesome and the owner is great. I usually refer everyone I know to Adventure Center Motorsports and I haven't ever had anyone complain. Great place! The service is great and I really had a good time buying a LED headlamp for my cruiser. Also, Bikersfield clothing is at this same location, so I picked up some cool things there too. Lastly, I brought my bike there to possibly have them adjust the clutch, but they were so honest and cool that the mechanic just did the quickest hand adjustment of the clutch cable and didn't charge me a dime! I'm hispanic and the First thing I noticed when I walked in to this place was people there, starting from the owner being racist, Putting that to the side, I needed my Harley to be repaired from the front forks, they took it in and from there very little professionalism, never returning calls, and I never was given an exact estimate on my parts and repairs (yes they had all the bike apart). After they were done and I went to pick up my motorcycle the first thing I noticed was my motorcycle all dirty (oil and grease stains all over, then my windshield was missing, they broke the brackets for it and they didn't even mention anything like if I was not gonna notice that wasn't there. I asked them and there is when they started to get aggressive and told me to take my motorcycle and get out of his business just because I told them I wanted my motorcycle the way It was, also the front desk lady started to act very rude. Really BAD EXPERIENCE with this people, better pay a little more but take it with professionals at a Harley Davidson dealership. read more

I do not own a motor cycle and probably never want to buy one either. But if I did I would buy one from Brent. I walked in yesterday afternoon needing a cotter pin for a doggy buggy. I bought the buggy on line for a young lady whose only friend in the world besides me is her little chiwawa (not sure how to spell that). I did not know Brent but we are friends now. They recommended a few options and what I chose was not the cheapest, but was the best option for my bike. The mechanic spent extra time to check brakes, drive lines, axle torque and explained what and why for each item. Called around town to have an atv cylinder bored and honed. Received some pretty high quotes. I called and got a much lower quote, so I took it in and these great guys immediately called their machinist to come pickup the cylinder while the paperwork was still getting drawn up!! Less than 24 hours later get the call to pick it up!! Their machinist Arty did a perfect and thorough job on the cylinder and got the piston kit set up for immediate installation. Looks like he even resurfaced the top surface for no extra charge!! It's very nice when you can finally go to a business that will treat you like they want your business!! I am SO thankful to have a true dirtbike shop back in Bakersfield. Every other shop in town feels like a car dealership. The customer service at Adventure Center is second to none. After mounting a new tire for me, I woke up the next morning to go riding only to find that I had a flat. Obviously frustrated, I called Adventure Center and they told me to bring the bike down to the shop and they had a a new tube installed within 15 minutes. I didn't even have to unload my bike! I am so glad someone at the Harley-Davidson dealer(a customer I was in line with)told me about this place. I took my 2003 Fatboy in for non-mechanical repair(rear taillight) and replace wide handlebars with stock. Rear taillight part was $6.00 but quoted a $90.00+ labor bill. Bullshit. Enough of HD being so expensive.No wonder they are losing customers. That and were dying off. Anyway, I found Kevin to be a professional and no-nonsense kind of guy. It still cost me $370.00 in total but I would be afraid to find out what the dealer would have charged and that was for the taillight which gave Kevin some trouble and the handlebars and a fuel assembly unit that had to be replaced. At least there is someone else to turn to now and I trust Kevin and Adventure Sports to take c/o my bike from now on.I do need to add that they have an incredible amount of gear for any rider in addition to HD riders. read more

I have been here on a few occasions and have gotten excellent, knowledgeable service and good pricing. The key that has kept me coming is that they are local and I would rather spend in my community than out of it. Not only that, but the owner will price match Internet prices. Until today unfortunately. I spoke with someone else today who quoted me a price $20 over Internet with free shipping and a quicker delivery time and apparently they don't always price match because they refused. I will still call for pricing in the future but looks like have to find a new go to tire spot. In my opinion if you say you are going to price match internet, you price match internet. If not, don't say it and try to do your best and it will make your customers happy to find out you are working with them. Bad business to promise something and then not deliver on it. Update: I like these guys too much...aside from one minor issue above, I can't get service like this anywhere else in Bakersfield. 10/10 would go to them again and again. read more

Back on October 5, 2017, I was leaving SF Bay Area on my BMW GS Adventure for a quick one-day ride to Phoenix. I was in need of a rear tire replacement. I phoned around the Bay Area, Phoenix and then Bakersfield trying to find a specific tire (finally found it 50 miles from home in the Bay Area, but too late to have the new tire installed). I had spoken with Brent at Adventure Center Powersports (ACP) in Bakersfield during my tire search and although he did not have my specific tire in stock, he had told me that if I could bring him the tire on my way to Phoenix, he'd have it installed. I arrived at ACP around 11AM and was back on the road by noon! The service was outstanding, and conversation with Brent was very enjoyable and informative during my hour at ACP. Thank you Brent (and your service tech) for outstanding service. I made Phoenix at a decent hour that same night with confidence that my rear tire was safe! read more

We took our Honda Moped to Abdventure Center the first time around April 12th for a basic "check-up". I needed to have tires checked, brakes checked, and the liquids checked. It was confirmed that the tires needed to be replaced, but also that the bar that holds the back tire was bent and needed to be replaced, that it was unsafe to drive. We of course consented to the work, which costed $520+ to fix. After about 2 weeks, we got the moped back and we heard noises like marbles were rolling around in the back tire and it sounded like a bubble machine. We took the bike back to the shop and they eventually called us to go down to the shop so they could show us what was wrong. It turns out, all of the bolts that they had put on had ALL fallen off!!!!! The crazy part, is when we picked it up, he wouldn't give me a warranty because he didnt because his work is good enough and he knows he does excellent work. So no need to worry. So, ALL of the new bolts came off. The shop had the moped for another two weeks, we got it back right before mothers day and it is now back in the shop. The brand new Pirelli tire he put on the moped is flat. No nail, screw, or cuts. Just no air. We told him to fix the bike, or give us our money back. He said "You're not getting your @$!#&% money back. You shouldn't have that piece of sh!$ in the road anyways!" He used this type of language a few times in the conversation. Needless to say, we were LIVID!!! We are a mixed couple going to a motorcycle shop owned vy an old white man. We hope its not racial bias, but the way he spoke to paying customers, what else could it be??? He wasn't doing us a favor, we paid for a service that was not rendered by his company. The way he spoke to us was rude, disrespectful, unprofessional, and down right disgusting!!!!! read more
