During my exam, I was told I had multiple cavities and that one tooth needed a root canal. The first red flag for me was that they didn't accept my insurance and strongly encouraged me to move forward with extensive additional treatment. I was presented with several treatment plans totaling over $8,000, which made me uncomfortable. Ultimately, I only approved a wisdom tooth extraction, a cleaning, and one filling. During the procedure, I distinctly felt the dentist shaving down the tooth that I had only authorized for a filling. Two weeks later, I began experiencing severe pain on the same side where the work had been performed. When I finally returned, expecting a post-treatment evaluation to determine why I was in so much pain, I was instead presented with another treatment estimate for over $2,000--even though I had insurance at that point. I've always had anxiety about going to the dentist, and unfortunately, this experience has only made that fear worse. I left feeling that my concerns were overshadowed by discussions of additional treatment and costs rather than finding the cause of my pain. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this practice.

I had been treated by Marijana for all of my previous visits. This past week Dr. Tsimis installed a crown...a normally involved procedure requiring two visits. He treated the damaged tooth, measured and prepped me in 45 minutes. To my amazement one half hour later my new crown was ready and perfectly fit to my satisfaction. They now have the technology to fabricate a permanent crown. I think it is awesome. Bravo to Dr. Marlen, Dr. Tsimis and the entire staff! You only get better and better and I always look forward to my visits.

My last dentist told me I didn't have a cavity and I said but it really hurts and I see a dent and he said it wasn't a cavity and when I went to Doctor Rubin he said you have a bunch of cavities and he fixed them all. He took xrays and showed me the cavities. I think I had about 8 and now my mouth never hurts. It's almost like the last dentist only wanted to do my crown and didn't want to do little work like filling cavities but I'm glad I'm rid of that guy and I'm glad that I found Doctor Rubin. He's working on a Crown for me now and just took the mold this week. I have 6 implanted teeth and Periodontal disease and he's very empathic when it comes to being gentle and not hurting you when he's doing the work. Also his staff is really nice.... especially the front desk lady who is the friendliest and nicest person ever.
