She trimmed-kept my length but added layers- and provided my hair with more volume. Now as far as hair dye goes, she listed to my wants/needs. I can't really afford to update color much so I needed a dye that would last but I love having a hint of red...so that's always a challenge since red fades easily. Well, she worked her magic! I had a dark brown color but in the lights, a subtle red hue appeared. What was even more awesome was that as time went by, I kept having people ask if I had just dyed my hair because as the dye faded, the red transformed and appeared more and more. It was 2 months later and people kept asking me if I had just dyed my hair. Well, I'm definitely going back this week. Maybe instead of the red, going for a purple tint. :) And all the reviewers are right, awesome decor & awesome ambiance. Camile was very sweet and listened. A lot of the time, I complain about my flat hair and stylists add to my hair bashing - ouch. But not Camile, as soon as I started going that route, she remained positive and professional. The location is cool but definitely a hassle to park and get through all the craziness of that area of BH. His location is in a umbrella of Salon 90210 or something like that. It is a cluster of small salons in this really cool location. I loved walking through and seeing all the styling and cutting going on. Ruben is really nice. Initially, he seemed annoyed that I had a groupon and also wanted color on top of my cut even though I clearly mentioned that in my text to him when making the appt. He later seemed to relax and open up and I had a great time chatting with him. We didn't really discuss which color I wanted. I basically said brown and he mixed up a pretty dark brown. He is great with thick curly hair like my own. He didn't seem overwhelmed or stressed about it at all and did an amazing job. It's obvious he knows what he is doing and is very precise about everything. The cut, color and blow out took about 2 hours. He blow dries your hair to make sure the cut looks good. Parking is annoying in the area but they have some public lots that are free for the first two hours but afterwards it starts adding up. I think I will be back--he knows his stuff and can tame the beast (my hair ;))
