I finally remembered to write my overdue review for Teyeb. I consulted Teyeb after an horrible hair color and cut at another studio. I was pretty shocked and didn't want to trust a hair stylist anytime soon, but also wanted to fix my hair result I got from the previous stylist, who did not listen at all to my concerns and wishes. I called Teyeb and he called me back for a phone consultation first. It was a good first impression for me to go ahead and schedule my appointment with him. He made sure I understand my options after I expressed what I envisioned with blending my natural hair, which was brunette, with silver, gray roots and highlights. He made sure that the products used were gentle on my hair, especially after having so much done a few months earlier and explained the color possibilities mixes plus showed me with strains of different hair colors I considered how it would blend in with my existing hair. That helped to get a better visual and to choose the right color for the highlights. I like the studio which was elegant and clean. Plus the energy was great and it was so nice that they had the beautiful puppy around to keep us company. I was very happy with my results and will be back in the near future to go a little bit lighter platinum and add a few more highlights. Now that I know how it looks. I will recommend Teyeb to all of my friends who are looking for a new hairstylist, and will be back for future hair needs soon. read more

Very odd haircutter. Bad haircut and his ego wouldn't let him discuss it. Anyone can give you a haircut you are not happy with but it takes a special individual to get nasty about it. read more

I had a very bad experience in a past , so I haven't visited a hair salons for more then 5 years . I really glad I did this time ! Took my son to see Teyeb today for the first time at Regency Salon Studios in Calabasas. He was wonderful. My son has very difficult hair to cut. It is so fine you can see any mistake or imperfection in it when it does get cut. Teyeb cut his hair with such precision and the techniques he used was like watching a true artist at work. When it comes to bleaching dark hair, Teyeb is hands down the best colorist in all of Los Angeles. I went to the same amazing stylist for 8+ years but when she was unavailable, I tried someone new. His bleach was too strong and/or he left me under the dryer which resulted in almost 1/3 of my hair completely breaking off at the crown. Devastated, I had no choice but do wear updos with extensions every single day I left the house and let it grow out for 9+ months. When I finally decided I might be able to go blonde again, my original stylist was too afraid to touch it. Of all the colorists in Los Angeles, finding Teyeb was nothing short of a miracle: He agreed on a an incredibly reasonable flat rate to fix my long roots and estimated 3 - 4 hours. It took over 5 (as he refuses to use heat which speeds the process up but ultimately leaves hair damaged). Even w the extra time, the price stayed the same, and I was left with beautiful healthy bleach blonde hair. Teyeb is a true artist with unparalleled integrity who puts his clients first. (On top of his talent and character he's made house visits, come in early to accommodate my sched, etc.) Sorry for the delay in this review but thank you and your beautiful wife so much, Teyeb!!!!! I was way overdue for a trim/cut and made a last minute appointment at this salon. The owners of this salon are extremely authentic and genuine people. When I arrived they gave me their undivided attention, time and advice. They gave me an honest recommendation for my hair treatment and explained every step and why it was being done. I've never been to a salon where everything was explained in such detail, you can see the true passion behind the job! Teyeb is a hair genius, so creative & has suggested ideas to update my look, which I never thought of but are amazing!!! I get so many compliments every time he does my hair. I independently turned my hair pink today by accident at home!! Oh no!! I gave this place a shot after reading the good reviews but was very disappointed in the service received. First, I arrived and all of the doors I tried were locked. I called and was told somebody would be out in five minutes but it was 90+ degrees so pretty uncomfortable to be out there waiting. Next, there was a dog in the salon without any advance notice and it barked a couple times during the appointment so not exactly a relaxing experience. The worst part was that all of the reviews said the stylist really listens to what you want but that was not the case for me. I wanted to donate my hair which he was supportive of but it was downhill from there. Three different times during the appointment I said I wanted my hair just a plain cut the same length all the way across. He tried to push layers, I said no. He tried to push me to go shorter, I said no. Then when it was dry, he asked me if I liked it and I said it seemed longer in the front and he said it looks better. I again asked him to make it the same length all across and he said sure and sat me back down. I thought he fixed it but when I got home I saw that it was still much longer in the front than back. He also "suggested" I pay for the more expensive service since he styled it even though I did not ask for that and it was not what I wanted. He said since it was my first time he would honor the price that I booked. Very disappointed in being ignored in what I wanted since it is so simple and I repeated it several times. He decided he knew what was best and chose to ignore what the customer wanted and still charge $100. I will definitely not be returning and would warn others to steer clear as well. read more

Teyeb is an awesome hairdresser! I was super happy with my cut. He is an understanding and caring hairdresser and he won't let you leave until you are completely happy with your hair. He uses awesome scissoring techniques that make your layers blend beautifully. He has great communication and is somehow always on the same page with what you want. And his blowout: extremely excellent. I seldomly leave my hair salons happy with my haircut and just can't wait for my hair to grow out, but with teyeb I could honestly say that I hope my hair stays in his cut forever. Decided to give this place a try since it's just around the corner from my house. As I got there I see teyeb heading out for lunch I was bummed thinking I was going to have to wait just like at other barber shops. He cancelled his lunch and attended me without hesitation.
