In a massive entity that encompasses all living things, it is hard to judge the good from the bad. When you can pick up eggs and a dining room set along with a PS3, do you reward the company for convenience or dock it for being one step closer to being Weyland-Yutani and having alien babies smuggled to earth in Ripley's stomach? The best place to start is selection. They will have what you need, but not always what you want. When they are trying to sell milk to one person and pesticide to the next, having specifics is not a priority. The second is service. You are the next in line, not a person. They are not rude, not nice. Imagine a robot in a car factory. . .and you're the car. Attach the bolts and then next. Price. Look for the yellow tabs. Sale prices are good, otherwise standard. I came here to look for some amiibo figurines. I didn't end up finding an electronics section, which is a strange omission. I thought Fred Meyer was a family-friendly store. Unfortunately, this location stocks a variety of deadly firearms. When I went there was no one stocking the counter, leaving dozens of rifles open and unsecured. I don't feel comfortable providing my business to a store that's so cavalier about the safety of its customers, and of society as a whole. read more

This place is a joke of a pharmacy. They never have your perscriptions ready on time. The people are not very helpful when asking questions and if you ever try to call them you always get put on hold for 10 minutes. I got sick and tired of having a non personal feeling when dealing with them so I switched to the pharmacy in the Safeway in Issaquah. I usually don't run to my computer to write a bad review, but in this case it was SO BAD! that I couldn't help it. We entered this store at 6:30 pm to buy Bolga Basket. After circling about 10 minutes around Home/Storage/Bathroom/Gardening departments, we decided to ask somebody. Another 10 minutes were spent trying to find this "somebody" without any success. We found one similar basket on the floor display and went to Customer Service Desk to ask where we can find those on the shelf. The lady behind the desk was rude and unresponsive, didn't want to help, didn't want to check the stock and didn't call for department employee. Everything was said in a rude attitude as if we were bothering her and disturbing (from doing actually nothing!). We decided to speak with the store manager. The Front End Supervisor seemed like a good start. We told him that we want to speak with the manager to complain about the Customer Service lady experience and to find the basket. He reasoned her behavior by that she is new and very busy (?!), but offered us to resolve the issue before we speak with the manager. He took us back to the department, but couldn't find neither baskets, nor employee. We asked about the price of the basket since there was no price tag on it. He didn't want to check and told us that without price tag or barcode he cannot sell it to us (?!) Then he left us to wait for the department employee since he himself was very busy "releasing people home or to breaks". After another 10 minutes waiting we left the store. It was especially shameful, since I work at QFC (which is also a part of Kroger family) and I know what can be done and what cannot, and that everything that happened resulted from pure lack of any will to help and poorest customer service ever! read more

For the convenience factor (close to home, stays open until 11), I would give this Fred Meyer 4 stars. It is usually pretty clean, and I usually get pretty good service when I need help or when it's time to check out. Overall, they have similar groceries to QFC, but it seems a little cheaper. It's also nice to be able to shop for food and everything else for your house in the same place. read more

Overall, I really like this store. they have a little of everything here and is sort of a one stop shop. They have a Starbucks coffee in side, and I think they do a better job with their coffee than the Stand alone Starbucks in the parking lot. This review is for Fred Meyer Jewerly department. I brought my engagement ring in because the Fred Meyer jeweler in Auburn told me my diamonds were loose and I should take it in right away. I have family that live in Auburn but work close to Issaquah so I took it here. The gentlemen that helped me here was really creepy and made me feel very uncomfortable when I dropped my ring off. They didn't call me to tell me my ring was done, I had to call back. When I came in to get it back it looked the same not even touched! I recently took my ring in for it's Inspection at the Auburn location and they told me my diamonds were loose again!!! Which makes me believe it was never done in the first place! I got my ring back and it looked as if it was brand new from Auburn location. I hope this location will step up on there customer service and get it right the first time and work on there professional approach with customers. A female cashier, Maril** was extremely rude. She started insulting me with another customer as I had items more than 12 at the express lane. I felt very bad so I kept apologizing to them as I didn't noticed it, but they continuously insulted to make sure I feel that I am piece of crap. By far, the worst Fred Meyer I've ever shopped. Unfortunately, we just moved a couple miles away. Our last Fred Meyer, in Vancouver, WA was great. Friendy, even during their remodel. This one always has employees standing around talking to each other. They never smile or say hello. And don't, I repeat, don't you dare ask for help. This last attempt to shop at this store, I couldn't find anyone in the back of the store. They were all up front talking to each other, as usual. So, I picked up a courtesy phone. I asked the person who answered where something was. She responded, "I think that's in Home Good". I asked. "Where is Home Goods". She said, "We have maps up front". Beware if your not over the age of 40 at this store. 5 days ago my girlfriend purchased a SD card and adapter for me from this store in the electronic section. It cost $65.99 so on the display where they had them they were locked so you had to have an employee unlock it so you could pull it off the bracket or whatever you call it. She ended up paying with $100 Bill and come to find out she bought the wrong one. The one I had told her to get was on sale for $54.99 from the regular price $99.99, and obvious awesome sale considering its almost half off. The next day when I got off work I went to two different Fred Meyers looking for the one that was on sale and they were sold out. The second one that I went to was in the evening and in Redmond. My girlfriend put the wrong one she had bought in the Fred Meyer bag with what she thought was the receipt. When I went to the customer service desk to return it the employee who was a gentleman about the age of 40 to 50 took it out the bag and then proceeded to show and tell me it was a receipt from Target. I was obviously surprised and texted my girlfriend who I must say is not blonde, and she of course apologized which I said it was okay it was obviously an accident and she said you're going to kill me I must have thrown away the wrong receipt. I explained it to the gentleman and also that we shop at Fred Meyer all the time, which we do, and he said I can try looking it up under your rewards card and I told him you can give it a shot but my girlfriend never uses it except for when she gets gas. Of course it didn't come up under my number and he then said all I can do is issue A store credit on a gift card which I said was absolutely fine and understandable. When I gave him my ID I saw that it was from Arizona because I recently moved back after growing up here and he told me he had to be one of the surrounding states from Washington which I thought was very odd. after being a little bit annoyed I said okay I guess I will come back with my father or mother or girlfriend. On the way home I decided to pull up their return policy online and it said word for word As I am copying and pasting it on here right now " We will try to find your original transaction in our database based on your form of payment. If we can't find your original transaction: You will be required to show identification. A state-issued driver's license or identification card is preferred Your returned item will be refunded at its lowest price within the last 90 days All returns over $5 without a receipt will be credited to a Fred Meyer Merchandise Return Card. A Customer's first return without a receipt will be accepted ( yes that says accepted ) to a maximum dollar amount of $75 (the card game to $72.62 after tax ) .If the Customer presents another return request without a sales receipt, it will be declined. With that being said I thought it was very disturbing that later that evening I went our local Fred Meyer in Issaquah and checked to see if they had the one on sale which they didn't, so I took it to customer service to see if rule about having a ID from a surrounding state was really true explain the situation again to the nice girl who was around 20-25 years old and she said she's never heard of that and she said I could return it and get a Gift Card she took my id and to make a long story short started to process the refund and when she realized the amount she said had to have someone approve or override it and when she called the guy in electronics he said no I can't return it and when I had her call the manager he also said no which she apologized I told her it wasn't her fault and I was very upset considering what the return policy clearly states on their website. Not to mention had her ask her manager if he's ever heard of someone needing an ID from a surrounding state and he said no I've never heard of that which is very odd, I wonder does different Fred Meyers have different rules? is that how this company works now, here's the frosting on the cake, the next day I went back to the one in Redmond with my dad and after they questioned me and my dad again they allowed him to get a refund and a gift card and the stupid older lady with horrible eyebrows yes I said it who was rude made sure to tell my dad and I at I was using his one return available and he can't return anything without a receipt for 3 months. I used to love this store and you can see why I have a change of heart and I hope this also influences others this is exactly how it went down and I even have all of it on recording, I am 32 years old and who is dressed in a suit when I went in and it is absurd that the store in Issaquah went against the policy and that Redmond allowed my father but not me, I guess I should be happy I'm not 45 working at Fred Meyer as customer service read more

Great location and friendly staff. Plus it is always very clean. Their produce prices are the best around - sometimes organic is the same price as conventional. I live in South Bellevue, south of I-90. There is no Fred Meyer really close, so I sometimes go to Renton, North Bellevue, or Issaquah. Won't be back to Issaquah any time soon! Now that the Bellevue store is closed for remodeling, apparently many of their customers are heading to Issaquah. It is a nightmare! I am disabled, cannot stand for long periods of time (bad back, knees, feet). The lines here are now horrible, no matter what time of day you go. Take so long to get through check out. Not for me. (is there such a thing as a Handicapped Checkout? I wish there was!!) The bathrooms were horrible too. Had to pee so badly, but 3 of the 5 stalls were Out of Order. When I finally got in one, there was no toilet paper, and it was filthy, with the garbage filled to the brim. Employees are normally nice, but now they seem stressed to the max and not happy. Crowds too big, too difficult for me to wait in those long long long lines..... Will avoid this store! read more

My brother calls this place heaven. I'm in here mainly for the video games department. Johnny, very chill, got in and out of the store in less than 5 minutes. Versus me waiting an hour at another place just to get someone to locate a game for me and took them 45 minutes and 5 different employees to have one to come up and tell me they didn't have it in stock. read more

Normally, I hate shopping at Fred Meyer. I just don't like how close the grocery is to everything else. Freaks me out. But this location is pretty neat. You kind of go in knowing nothing makes sense. The departments are scattered randomly. I'm lost the entire time. BUT, you know this location is a giant clusterf$#* as soon as the doors open... so I grab a cart, and somehow find everything I'm looking for. Although you can find everything you need at Fred Meyer and overall the prices are good. I have had horrible customer service there the last 2-3 times I have gone. Last week I was in and when I got to the front of the line I realized I left my debit card at home. The cashier gave me the rolled eye and I told the cashier I would be right back and he said just come back to my line and I will take care of you and that I will keep your bag here. Fortunately I bank at Chase and they have one in the store so I walked into the bank showed my ID and got money. I was back to him about 5 min later. He saw me there and kept ignoring me (he now had a line of 5 people). Thought I could give him the money and go instead I went to the back of the line and saw me there. He waived at me to come forward. All the other customers were super nice and said go right ahead cause I was telling them how I was there just a little before them and left my card. I got to the front and he handed me my bag and said you need to wait in line or go to another cashier. I thought I could just pay him but he passed me off and was super rude to me. Like I mentioned earlier you can get everything you need at Fred Meyer and for good prices but if I get treated as poorly as I have been lately I will take my business elsewhere. I normally really like Fred Meyers in general I moved to Issaquah from Covington and absolutely love the Covington Fred Meyers so I decided to try the issaquah location the whole place was a madhouse the employees were running around trying to stalk things but we're still running out left and right no big deal I get up to the register and when I give the cashier my phone number she typed it in incorrectly so I didn't get any of my coupons that I spent 30 minutes going through the app finding. When I say something she says we'll try to enter your phone number so I did. Nothing happens and she tells me there's nothing that she can do I asked her to call somebody to make sureThat person also says there's nothing that they can do and that we should finished the transaction and bring it to customer service. This first cashier is very nice the entire time that I'm with her So now I'm standing in line at customer service looking over my receipt to see ifs the coupons are worth this wait in line when I realized that she double charged me for a $17 thing of toilet paper. So now I have to stand in line. When I get up to the customer service desks about 10 minutes later. I explain to them the situation. The gentleman helping me is obviously new because the woman is walking him through how to do a refund. When that is over he asks her about my rewards card. She then looks at me and says there is nothing they can do they're not going to refund the entire order and ring it up again. I lalmost burst into tears and she immediately started helping the next customer I will be contacting corporate and I will be driving back to Covington instead of visiting this location ever again. read more

I like Fred Meyer and for those of us who barely have time to shower and get the contacts in, having a one stop shopping place is the difference between sanity and...well, you know. So what if they don't have donut holes and so what if they don't carry all your favorite brands of soap. This place is really inexpensive and I have always had a friendly smile at the bakery, the deli, seafood section, the cheese section and at the checkout aisle. I love this Fred Meyer. I work across the street so I am in here all the time before and after work. I am friendly with the staff here since they recognize my uniform. The only downside is that when I go in my uniform I am at least once mistaken for an employee there (although since I know the store pretty well I have been able to direct most of the people that talk me to). I am a rewards member there though I have no idea what the rewards program does. The staff talk to me while I am checking out and even remember past conversations we have had while I was there. I highly recomend coming in during the later shift since that is normally when I am in and the staff then is super nice. HOWEVER that is not to say the morning people are not nice I am just rarely in during the morning so I do not know much about Fred Meyer in the morning. read more

I was a loyal customer - shooping at this location on a weekly basis until I ran into an issue with the deli dpt. Bought the turkey meal, but it didn't include the turkey! I called and the person who helped on the order answered the phone and said no problem. Unfortnately, that guy wasn't behind the counter when I arrived. He questioned me, belittled me and made it feel like he did me a favor by giving me the turkey that they didn't include. People make mistakes, but instead of saying sorry and helping, he made me feel like I was the one at fault. What made things worse was when the Asst Mgr had the same attitude. I will never shop there again. That was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Both the deli counter boy and asst mgr are a bunch of a## clowns. read more

I went grocery shopping at this Fred Meyer a few weeks ago and was blown away by how beautiful and organized the produce department was. The produce lady even let me try a slice new kind of fruit I'd never tried before! The checkout guy was so fast that I hardly had a chance to get my wallet out of my purse before he had keyed in all my veggies and fruits. What a great place to shop! The incompetency is astounding... Unprofessional, not knowledgeable about repairs, and staff is burnt out,. In fact, they had no idea when or if they even sent my watch in for repairs...3 weeks for a watch repair. Just pathetic. Pretty much what you would expect from a department store. A large selection of goods from a variety of providers. I will say that their local support is somewhat lacking but that is a very small complaint. Cashiers are quick and friendly. Self check out is well staffed considering not to mention that there is a large amount of available stations on every day but the Super Bowl. I'm pretty easy so the staff is always nice enough to point me in the correct direction. But I will say the best experiences I've had in this store have always been in the Tech Department. Every time I needed something they've had it on their shelves. HD cables? Yep, in four different lengths. The game that's sold out everywhere? Of course they have a few extra copies, always! It has been a consistent first place to check whenever I need some tech stuff. Cheaper prices than places like Best Buy and Target. With more selection usually as well. The only downside I can possibly come up with for this place is that parking lot is INSANE. There is enough parking, sure. But the first few rows are an absolute nightmare to drive through. This is no fault of the store to be sure but it is a deterring factor for me somewhat. read more

Absolutely horrid service at the jewelry center in Fred Meyer on E. lake Samm. Don't even know where to begin. Sales consultant Connie, was a nightmare, didn't even have the opportunity to work with her as she ignored us for the 15 minutes we spent browsing in there. So we decided to go do our grocery shopping then come back. When we came back she ran toward us and hurriedly closed the door on us yelling that she was closed. I calmly told her that we were in there earlier waiting for service for quite some time, hoping she might realize we were ready to buy something.. She yelled at us, YES... YELLED... That she was closing (it was 5 minutes prior to their closing time...). We went back in and asked for her card and called to leave a message for the manager. She answered the phone and I asked if I could just leave a message and she did not understand this concept. So I explained that I was just in there and pretty dissatisfied and just wanted to leave a message to be called back later. She yelled at me again, in a different language??? And then HUNG UP ON ME!!!!!!!! Crazy lady. Hope this teaches her a lesson. She really shouldn't be working in customer service if she can't handle the stress of communicating with other people. read more

I saw that you could save money on groceries there so I decided to try it out needed a few things should be easy right umm NO! there was people stocking in every isle blocking you in or out cant this be done at night? This place is like a freaking MALL I just need groceries for a decent price! the crowds !! people EVERYWHERE on a monday afternoon this place is packed to the gills!
