If there's a Grocery Outlet in the area, I always go in; I never know what kind of deals I'll find in each store. There's always something different. I consider this store to be a B amongst GOBMs. Their standard inventory is pretty reliable, and I often find something unique. In a few instances, I have found the same items to be more expensive than other locations. That's always disappointing. Some of the staff are pretty nice, not all. Some are fairly disengaged. To be fair, I've seen some rude customers too, so I guess it's all fair. During the recent visit, I found they had bubly, 12 packs with less common flavors of pineapple and watermelon, for only 2 bucks. They expire in one month, but does that really matter? These are the kind of deals that make GOBM unique. They carry a set of fixed/standard inventory that is cost competitive (though not cheaper than steep sale prices), and they carry special deals that are of familiar brands that likely have a short expiration date and some that are of less familiar brands, sometimes even fancy foreign brands, that are a treat to discover! read more

Why has the grocery outlet store gotten so much worse??! I use a couple of very centrally located Seattle stores, and I only go there for the natural, organic, healthy items. I've noticed a giant decline in quality offerings. Consistently there's some lower quality, cheaply packaged "healthy" off brands and the good brands I know from places like Whole Foods / PCC continue to disappear. Coming here is less and less worth my time. (And these days I have to come from Vashon.) I've been wondering for a long time now -- why is this happening??! You also removed the healthy aisle. Grocery Outlet is the newest grocery store in Bellevue. It is located across the street from Crossroads Shopping Center and two buildings away from the post office on NE 8th. It is in a building that previously had several small businesses tenants that has been converted into one large store. Though Grocery Outlet is a discount grocer, that does not mean that the shopping experience here is as well. In fact, the layout of the store is very good and easy to move around. And most importantly it is clean. The reason the prices here are so low is because Grocery Outlet buys overstock and closeout products. The closeout products make me think of bad items that were consumer flops that ended up on Grocery Outlet shelves as a result. Though that is further from the truth. I saw nothing here that would not be found at a regular grocer nearby. The prices indeed are very good. Though you do need to check dates for everything you buy. There are some things in the store past the date listed on the product. Though this not too much of a concern for some items like beer and wine. They have tons of cereals and oatmeal products here to choose from. Even found a gluten free cereal made in the Czech Republic which is indicative of what ends up here. You will find products that you would not find elsewhere in the area (ex. Hellmann's mayo). Once they are sold out, chances are you will never find the product again unless you really search for it or go to where it is usually sold. In addition to the cereals, I really like the drinks (cheap coconut water), frozen foods (2 pound bag of coho salmon for $7) and snacks (gluten free crackers for $1) found here. They also have a produce section. Some of it might be worth picking up like the avocados, but some of it is pretty comparable in pricing to what other stores are charging so it does not make as much sense to buy it here. Parking lot in front can get quite full. There is a secondary parking lot to the side of the store if you can't find a space in the main lot. Shopping at Grocery Outlet will save you a lot of money on groceries. But it is not meant to be a full-scale supermarket. I would look here first to see what you can find here for cheap before shopping at your primary grocery store for the rest of your needs. read more

The wife and I have become big fans of our Grocery Outlet. It doesn't always feel like the cleanest place, and the stock is inconsistent, but I can usually find an alternative if they didn't have what they stocked in my last visit. They always have a deal on bags of oranges and avocados. The meat section occasionally has some good marinated or spiced meat for a decent price. The wine section always has a deal if you are willing to hunt. I use an app to try to identify high quality bottles for their rock-bottom prices. I love having a decent table wine for $7, and if I put the work in, I can find it. The employees have always been kind, and like striking up a conversation while checking you out. The whole store has a laid-back atmosphere, and sometimes you just don't want to feel like cattle at the local QFC. We will never do *all* of our shopping here, but we love it. read more

I shop at this Grocery Outlet once in a while. Like all Grocery Outlets, the prices are great! They have a good selection of coffee, canned food, fruit, vegetables, dairy, and meat. The selection varies so you don't always see the same products on the shelf. It makes the shopping a little more interesting during every visit. I've never been to a Grocery Outlet before, but have passed by this place every time I've gone to Crossroads, so thought - why the heck not? And I'm glad I did, as I was able to find some good bargains. First of all - the best thing about this place is that there is a separate natural foods and organic section of the store, which was something I was not at all expecting here. I liked that they carried some brands that I normally get at other places, like Purely Elizabeth's gluten-free muesli and oatmeal which is about six bucks at a normal grocer! I bought a Mango-Almond Muesli mix for only $1.49! Too good to be true. I also found a huge bag of organic long green beans for less than three bucks, which is seriously, Costco size. It was awesome! So, I definitely recommend visiting this place if you haven't already because you'll be surprised by the brands and items they carry. But something I learned later on when I got home was that we bought a tub of Sabra hummus for less than three bucks. Though that was a good deal, we noticed that other than the brand label there wasn't a nutritional facts label that normally, is on every food item you buy. We thought this was a little odd, and that's when we noticed there was a small stamp on there that said, "Not for individual sale." Kind of strange. I also noticed that some of the items there had an expiration date of two weeks, like for olive oil mayo that I almost bought but then realized that the expiration date was closer than expected. The date was the same for all the other bottles of mayo, too, so I assume they must get items that are close to their sell date. I just recommend that if you visit here - check the items thoroughly. Though the store is not huge they have a decent amount of items. It's not massive by any means and some items that may be on your list won't be there. If you want nasty people to treat you like a criminal, this is the place to go. I had a horrible experience at this store yesterday thanks to, Cathy and Michael and another employee whose name I forgot. Moreover, these 3 rude employees ganged up on me and threatened to call the police because I did not want to show my driver's license. First of all, I am a senior citizen and obviously old enough to buy wine. Yet, they told me that I have to show my driver's license to buy wine, unbelievable. No, you do not need to see my license as my personal information is none of your business. Going to spend my $$ at QFC and Trader Joes where the employees are friendly and professional and smart enough to recognize when people are decades older than 21. I went to this store's "Grand Opening" today. I had never been to a Grocery Outlet before, and I was kinda expecting the Walmart of grocery stores....but I was really surprised. Pleasantly surprised! This is a great place! The store is large and well laid-out. And immaculately clean. I went up and down every aisle. I was really impressed with the foods sold: I purchased brand name snacks and beverages and candies - all at a fraction of what I'd pay elsewhere (even at Target). I got a bag of Giradelli chocolates at a third of the price of elsewhere. Same with a bag of M&M's. I got a personal watermelon for less than half the price of any grocery store. I got some face wipes at half the price of elsewhere. Some of the shampoos were premium brands, too. And I checked the expiration date of everything I bought, and it was all fresh. Most of all, I was impressed with the produce and meats, cheeses, and dairy area. Everything was fresh, well-stocked, nicely displayed. And at least half the price of anywhere else. At least, all the items I priced were. I am not exaggerating. I don't know how they do it. The cashier guy was really nice, and all the lines moved efficiently and smoothly. My only reservation is that there is only one door in and the same door out. This caused quite the logger-jam today. This store could really use an additional entry/exit for customers. Recently I have had some better than ordinary experiences because Agnes (Cashier name and #0107 from my receipt). Most of cashiers at grocery stores don't care much of what they are doing. They will carelessly put heavy items on top of fragile/soft ones ... A lot of time I had to rearrange my stuff ASAP after I paid and before I leave the store. I didn't have to do anything with Agnes. Because she pays attention of what she's doing and she does her best. She even pointed out to me that one of the food item is expired and checked with me see if I knew and still want it. Let me preface this review by saying that I have shopped at this particular store on numerous occasions. Prior to the last two visits, my experiences have been mostly good. My last visit, which was a couple of months ago my shopping experience in the store was great until I got to the register and felt a very uncomfortable negative attitude from the cashier. Fast forward to this evening I am doing my shopping and as I get to the register the person ringing me up is ranting in another language, refusing to bag my groceries and making it difficult for me to bag them myself and all around had a very stressed vibe and kept talking in another language in a way that sounded angry. This is not a regular grocery store. It is the Ross of Grocery Stores. They buy items that didn't sell in other grocery stores and sell them to you for a discounted price. So you have to come here with an adventurous attitude. I went the other day and found some spices, chips, and hot sauce for a great price. Shopping for gluten-free stuff is expensive. This Grocery Outlet location almost always has awesome deals on the most random things, generally including an impressive stock of GF items. Where else can you end up with 7 boxes of allergen-free cookies for $15? I was recently shopping for party food and ended up with a ton of food/drinks for $20. It was all eaten that night, so who cares if it's close to best-by date? I heard no complaints. The Grocery Outlets I've been to and regularly shop are full of ever changing stock and there are lots of bargains. I shop at the store close to where I live in a different area about once a week. I love the wine selection. However two weeks ago, on a Sunday, I parked my car in the front of the store in Bellevue in the middle of a legit parking place, went in and shopped for no more than 20 minutes. When I returned to my car, I was shocked to see that someone had smashed the passenger side mirror, tore most of it off and stole the housing. There were deep scratches all along the passenger side of my formerly scratchless classic car. The supervisors at the store said there was a camera that would have recorded whoever did it. When I contacted the manager, he said there is no camera nor is there any way to know what happened. Not his problem. Not even an "I'm sorry". GOOD BYE GROCERY OUTLET ON 8TH STREET BY CROSSROADS. You'll never get my business again . You won't see any of my friends or neighbors there either. Disgusting how you dismissed any possible information for whatever happened. I love this store! Besides the great deals, you never know what you're gonna get! This place is even better than walking around QFC looking for the Manager's Specials. :) I know that the inconsistent selection is a minus for some, but it's a huge plus for me, since I LOVE to try new things and see what I can find! This company - many franchises - have been advised that they do not have to obey our current COVID mask policy. Jay Inslee MANDATED that retail businesses can let members of the public in without face coverings but then they CANNOT SERVE THEM. I am, myself the manager in a retail establishment. We offer masks to those in need and this is not optional. The managers of a couple of franchises verbally relayed to me that they have been advised to say nothing and do nothing. Throughout my short shopping experience in the Grocery Outlet I was assailed by constant looping messages over the PA system about what their customers were expected to give up during the COVID crisis - cannot return items etc. I was warned to social distance while shopping. What a joke. Then they let maskless shoppers roam the store. Not shopping here anymore!! Boycott GOBM!! read more

I go to Grocery Outlet in Bellevue before I go to any other grocery store because the savings are great and I'm happy with all that I buy there. I am a regular shopper at this store. I find it clean with friendly staff. I enjoy going and seeing all the organic foods, with a special aisle, I believe it is labeled "Nosh" with organic and specialty healthy items. The produce looks good the frozen items are great. I'm really happy because this store is less than two miles from my home in Bellevue, WA. read more

This place is really cheap! And the best part is that they have very fresh vegetables! Of course, some of them are not so fresh and not all of them are fresh all the time, but you will always find something fresh and cheap. Their reloading speed is rather slow. Don't expect to find the stuff you bought last time to be there the next time you come in because it may well not be. With that being said, if you look often enough, you will find surprises: large shampoo and conditioner combo for 3.99 or a dozen of large eggs for 1.9 Definitely check out this place. First, let me say that the people who work here are really nice. I guess I expected a discount grocery store to have low-end service people but I've been pleasantly surprised every time I've shopped here. The employees I've encountered are have been friendly and often happy to make recommendations and point out great buys. I have to admit I was skeptical about the products at first too. Just the idea of discount groceries had me wondering what to expect and especially uncertain about fresh items like produce. While selection can be limited and brands can change from visit to visit, everything I've purchased here has been quite good. A few items needed to be consumed sooner than later because their expiration dates were approaching and only once have I brought home an item that was already bad. If you're willing to inspect the packaging and pay attention to expiration dates, you can find some great deals here. I think it's worth visiting here before going to the other stores. Often you can get a lot of staples and reduce your overall monthly grocery bill. The only reason I didn't give five stars here is that I tend to withhold that rating for places are over-the-top incredible. No knocks on Grocery Outlet here. A solid showing all around. read more

This is a great and friendly store. Some of their prices are less than Fred Meyer and QFC around the area. I have also never seen a crowd, part of the reason being its at a relatively poor location near crossroads mall and at night, its dark and dingy. I went here to take advantage of a promotion by my CC provider and Joshua the cashier was pretty cool about it. Also got a bottle of Tide for cheap for those who care :) Will give this place a visit every now and then, small businesses need our support. read more

I have found having a Grocery Outlet in Bellevue is so handy I have to start with 4 stars right there. There are other GO stores, but they are a drive over the crowded highways for me. So, compared with other GO stores, this gets a 4 for having located close by, and the 5th star is for putting comments on the wines.."Kyle's pick", "goes great with xyz food" etc. I often buy a wine with a recommendation. Just reading the labels doesn't really tell you much. Some French wines have ornate dignified authentic looking labels and are terrible wines, while other wines with silly labels or very little class, are yet the best wines. Their previous wine steward, a lady, was even better at writing up very detailed reviews for lots of their wines in this store. She is gone now, but I remember getting good accurate tips and buying cases based on what she said. She knew her stuff. I am just getting to know Kyle, their current wine expert, so we will see. I wish they could hire the other lady as consultant just to do wine reviews her writing was so good you really got a detailed write-up of her impressions. I don't know any other wine source having this range and value than GO. It's fun trying wines, and you can always bring them back if they aren't to your liking, even months later, as long as there's only a little missing so they know you really did not like it. I've been going to Grocery Outlet for about 20 years, ever since the name was Canned Food Warehouse. It is the same store, just with a new name. I believe all are independently owned, but many times one couple (usually husband and wife) will own multiple stores. Since I moved here in 2010, I have gone to a few different GO stores, but mainly the store in Renton, and this new store in Bellevue. Renton is a former bowling alley, and while certainly not the biggest GO I've ever seen, it is a good size and has a pretty good selection. The Bellevue store is roughly half the size (maybe 60%) of Renton, but it is still jam packed with food and household items. I would say it has roughly half the stock of Renton, due to its size. When you walk in, on the left are hygiene items such as deodorant, soaps, shampoo, vitamins, brushes, then other items like cookware, toys, and seasonal items. The next few aisles had cleaning supplies like laundry soap, bleach, sponges, followed by cereal, juices, some baking supplies, and condiments. They have two full aisles of stand up freezers with chicken, fish, beef, vegetables, frozen dinners, prepared foods, ice cream, and tons more. It was a gold mine! After that was another isle with pasta, canned foods, non-perishable microwaveable food, and more baking supplies. Finally, the furthest aisle has drinks, snacks, crackers, chips, and candy. In the back is an island with fresh vegetables, more vegetables on the back wall, a small but good fresh meat section, a nice deli section with meat, cheese, and more, and in the front of the store is a big section with beer and wine. I found 2.5# bags of frozen chicken breasts for $5!! Walmart wants $7 and Fred Meyer usually wants $7 to $9 for these. I bought 4 bags. Other deals I have found were flavored boxed rice at 50 cents, half gallon juice drinks for $1.99, 2 pounds of frozen vegetables for $2.50, and 2 pounds of tilapia for $6. Yes you do need to watch expiration dates and not all deals are great. The same goes for all GO stores. But most items are within sell by date, and in the majority of cases, the deal is very good. Basically, GO operates all the same. They buy production overruns, mislabeled, and out of season items at a great deal, and pass on the savings. I've bought cup of noodles in Russian, seen Halloween and Christmas candy months after the holiday is over (candy lasts forever anyway), and had canned food from lesser known manufacturers that turned out be great. You probably won't be able to do 100% of your shopping at this store because it is small, but they do have a little of all major items. For what they do have, the deals are almost impossible to beat. This store is open every day (yes 7 days!) from I believe 10 am to 9 pm. I am so happy Bellevue finally has one of these stores. While there is nothing wrong with QFC, Safeway, and Whole Paycheck (Whole Foods), I think they are massively overpriced, and I'm not going there just for the sales. I want good prices every time I go. For this reason, I don't shop at any of those. It's your money. Shop where you want. I'm sticking to this place. 4 stars for this location because it is smaller than some of the others. 5 stars for the prices. read more
