The customer service was nonexistent. And they will refuse you service if you're joyful and cordial. I guess customers are not the priority at that store and treated as a nuisance by the staff. Great Experience @ North Fred Meyer in Medford, OR. !! Fresh & Delicious Sushi available at this Fred Meyer location. I decided to try my classic go-to favorites in the brown rice option and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal! Not only that, a friendly employee, Addesyn, was offering free samples of bakery items. I chose to try the pumpkin bread and it was moist and full of flavor, yum! Wide selection of groceries, amongst their other home goods. I appreciate how this Fred Meyer is always clean, well stocked, and organized. I would also like to acknowledge the older gentleman who oversees the self checkout area, he is amazing!! He is irreplaceable as far as I'm concerned, I look forward to seeing him and thanking him for his service and knowing how to deal with anything and everything that comes up! This pharmacy is totally incompetent! We were forced to change pharmacies due to Providence arbitrarily changing their health insurance to Aetna and having to leave our pharmacy of 23 years and go to either CVS or Kroger (Fred Meyer). This has been a nightmare! I have been trying for 4 weeks to have my prescriptions transferred from my previous pharmacy to the Fred Meyer pharmacy! I have contacted Fred Meyer pharmacy numerous times and been told that they haven't received my records. Well no kidding... I found out today that they have been requesting my records from CVS pharmacies (BTW I have never used CVS for ANYTHING!) so now we'll see if that is going to expedite their process. I'm not holding my breath as my wife has also had the same sorts of issues including being completely out of thyroid and heart meds for almost 2 months! Stopped by this feed Meyer while visiting Oregon. Had never been to a Fred Meyer before and I was simply amazed of the size of this place. They literally cover everything from furniture to jewelry to groceries. I think the nearest comparison I can think of is a Costco, but without the need to buy a dozen of something. If you need something, I am sure they will have a version of it. read more

Absolutely agree with all of the reviews here describing rude and careless behavior in a business where this combination is a recipe for a lawsuit. Women working for this business displayed the following behaviors over the phone: constantly hung up on me and my doctor, incorrectly spelled my name after several very careful phonetic dictations, failed to text me as promised when the prescription was ready for pickup, and engaged in a rude tone in every interaction. Then, in person, Marisela and the 'head pharmacist' : told me that this location was not in Medford (?), that the prescription which I had confirmed the existence of over the phone did not exist, that their pharmacy did not carry prednisone (?) and doubled down in extremely rude fashion on all of these behaviors when I politely asked why these things were said. The rude torrent of abject nonsense that followed was, sadly, par for the course. This business, if not restaffed, will likely see itself litigated into closure. Avoid at all costs. read more

Pharmacy staff is obviously under valued or under poor leadership. Five women working behind the counter. Seven people in line. Only one of them actually helping customers. Took FOREVER to be served and there were only 2 customers in line ahead of me. And the drive thru takes even longer because it is easier for them to ignore you. No mask enforcement. Most wearing useless face shields. I think retail workers are tired of having to wear masks and deal with cranky customers who don't like wearing masks. I'm giving it 3 stars for the workers. Fred Meyer store was so cool to walk around in. The mix of all the merchandise was amazing. I was in the clothing part for awhile then into the electronics, hardware then finally in the food section. They prepared food deli was clean and the food looked delicious. There is a nice quaint spot to eat your food or enjoy a cup of coffee from Starbucks inside. Love this store. FIGHT ON Fred Meyer So I have decided to have lunch at Fred Meyer and the Turkey Panini and the wings were delicious. The Panini was warmed up and it was amazing. I have shopped here whenever I have visited Medford over the last 10 years and have found it to be ok. It's standard Kroger as far as groceries but has a large housewares area, yard supplies and clothing to. And has a gas station too! Much more support than other Kroger's I have been in other parts of the country. read more

This Fred Meyer is very large and laid out well. I got some really good holiday deals on pajamas and went back again for more sets cuz they turned out to be really comfortable. The staff is alright- I don't ever have anyone going out of their way to be friendly but I haven't had any rude experiences either. They have a really good produce section too. read more

I have shopped here for my family for 12 years. Tonight, they lost my business for life. We just renovated our home to make an extra bedroom for our daughter. I have been helping my three children pick out new furniture for each of their bedrooms that they are very excited about. We found a super soft rug at Fred Meyers while grocery shopping last week that each of the kids loved, but they were $199 each. Obviously that's a bit ostentatious for a kids room. So I told them no and they'd need to wait. Before grocery shopping this evening, I received Fred Meyer's ad stating "All Area Rugs" on sale 50% off. Wanting to surprise my kids and to celebrate moving home, I brought them in and let them pick out the color they want. I asked for a young mans help to get the three rugs to the register. I showed him the ad I'd received online, which was also in paper form at the front of the store because there were no signs up for them on sale except for smaller rugs that said 20% off instead of 50%. He looked at the ad and said oh ok. Yes, all area rugs 50% off. He helped me get the rugs to the register as each was 5x7. While there and ringing me up, the rugs did not come up 50% off. He read the ad again and and said he'd just have to get a manager to overide it for the 50% off. His supervisor came forward and read the ad. Upon seeing it she said very flustered that the fine print underneath "All Area Rugs" read Reg 249.99 Sale 124.99. She apologized and agreed that it was misleading but she could do nothing. I thanked her and said I understood it wasn't her fault but I'd like to speak to a supervisor about the misrepresentation and false advertisement. She called her manager and he told her to override one of the three rugs for the misleading advertisement. I asked to speak to him personally. I made sure to vouch for both of his employees that they had done nothing wrong and were kind. However the ad was clearly misleading in its wording and representation and I'd appreciate him honoring the deal I had come in for. He refused. He asked if I'd like the one rug he'd honor the advertised price on. So I in turn explained my family and I would not only not be taking the one, but would no longer be doing business with Fred Meyers. I spend about $400 a week there. Whether it's $20 or that, every customer should be valued and business should be done with integrity. Had they not falsely advertised and poorly worded this, and then their representative followed it up with a power trip and lack of integrity, they would still have my family's business. My mother had a full cart of grocery's and things to bake holiday favorites with the kids. I told her to leave it and that unfortunately we were done there. I explained to my children on the way home that if any person or business makes a mistake, you should not judge them on that but give them the benefit of the doubt to fix it. If they don't, no deal is worth doing business with someone who lacks integrity or the self respect to remedy their mistake, intentional or not. The ad was obviously a clear bait and switch tactic. But I had hoped a supervisor who had already demonstrated his clear power to right that situation, would do so instead of inflating his ego with a power trip. In the meantime, I'll be ordering the same rugs on Wayfair. As for the groceries that feed my family every week, and every camping trip, that business will now be going to Safeway. The last thank you I have for you North Fred Meyers, is the lesson my children did learn tonight on the car ride home was to not sacrifice your own values by supporting a business that does not honor their own integrity. I was running late and really wanted soda and a bag of candy for me and my family so I stopped here because it was across the street from where we picked food up at. They wanted almost $3 for a soda and 4 for a bag of candy. If it was a high quality brand I would understand but this is the same stuff I can buy anywhere for a lot cheaper. They act like Wal-Mart, Target, Food 4 Less, and the rest isn't down the street. I haven't checked the other prices on clothes and other stuff but if their food is any indication it's all overpriced. read more

I decided Medford would be the gas and food stop and I somehow chose this particular exit. Nothing is right "next to" the highway, they are a half mile or more away. I check prices at what stations I see and this place had the lowest price. It's not quite easy in and easy out as it's in the parking lot of the Fred Meyer grocery store. There were a few cars in line, so I waited. It was definitely slower than a self-service gas station, but this is Oregon and those don't exist here. The college age guy that helped me saw my pupster sticking his nose out the rear window and asked if he could give him a doggy treat. Well that is very nice (+ 1 star)! I agree, he pulls one out of his vest pocket and gives it to the pupster who quickly gobbles it down. The cars tank is now full and it's time to fill our tanks. Next stop, some grub! read more

I love Fred Meyer, and always have great experiences here. The staff are helpful and friendly, and I really enjoy the selection. I appreciate how the atmosphere here is a bit more sophisticated than at Walmart, and I feel comfortable and at ease here. My husband and I also purchased our wedding rings here, and the ladies who helped us then were very helpful and friendly as well. Fred Meyer is one of my top three stores to shop at, and I really appreciate having two locations in Medford. :) read more

This is super cool store. Being from California I would compare this store to that of a target mixing with a kohls. There is grocery, clothing, makeup, home supply, and anything else you could think of. Very similar to a super Walmart, but better deals all over the store! I love Fred Meyer and have used their stores and pharmacies for years. I'm in from out of town....dropped my prescription. She accepted it and downloaded my "profile" from the system and told to give it 30 minutes. When returning to pick up I was told, it was too early to fill and would need to wait a few days. Fast forward five days: I dropped my script and was told it would be ready in 30 minutes. After that time had passed I returned to stand in line for another 10 minutes with only one woman being helped. I get to the counter and was then told my medication would need 30 minutes to be ready. I told her they had promised that over a half hour ago. People are idiots in Medford. Nothing seems organized and nobody knew what they were doing. Hoping I get the medications I need sooner than later. read more

Just had the most demeaning experience at the North store training to be a checker in grocery. The trainer B, was rude, talked to other trainees behind our backs & made the experience a living hell! Needless to say I refuse to work for people like that! She also made reference to my age, ie slow to learn. Only made it in the chekstand two days. This place has horrible customer service, They are also bias with some their deals and coupons to customers like me. I needed some soda for a party. I put a lot of soda in the cart for the party but out of no where, the manager with the pink hair comes and starts screaming saying you both have a store so the deal won't work for you. Fred Meyer gas station pretty much has the best prices around for gas. However, this can lead to a long line. Sometimes it is worth it to me to wait for the lower price and sometimes it isn't. When I was going to school every day I would stop on my way home to get gas rather than trying to go in the morning before school because it can take 15-20 minutes (or more!) to wait and get filled up. If a holiday weekend is coming up (labor day/memorial day) the lines can be crazy long. Plan ahead if you want to get gas at Fred Meyer and are in a hurry. You can get a really good deal on gas at times. And if you have a Fred Meyer's rewards card you can get 10 cents of every gallon that you buy. It's not one of those gas stations that have a Circle K of some other convenience store, but really great people. read more
