The prices......... I normally only stop here occasionally to get deli meat because it's SLIGHTLY less expensive than New Seasons. Point of advice. DO NOT but sliced meat that is on sale. It's always old and awful. It's on sale because it moved too slowly at the prices they normally charge and they would rather make SOMETHING on it .vs throwing it out. We made the stupid mistake of buying a few other things and WOW!!!!!!!!!! These prices!!!!!!!!! How are they getting people to pay 30-300% more than what stores like Walmart and Winco charge? I do appreciate the availability of the motorized carts and quite a few of the employees here are very nice and want to help! Seriously, the self check folks were amazing! Fred Meyers now does stocking while the store is already ridiculously busy and every aisle I am having to drive around the shoppers with the giant blue carts shopping for others and the stock people with the giant carts. Some of the people are much nicer than others. One blocking completely three fridge doors was doing the fake nice while practically biting my head off when I asked her to please hand me an item. She handed me not what I asked for and then was pissed when I was saying that is not it. Maybe if she did not want to hand people things she could find a way to not completely block off something while the store is open and people are shopping? I get that the stockers are doing there job and that people are probably way rude many times but when every aisle I go down has someone blocking it so I either have to go around or have to get around them to get something I am trying to buy... it is lie hostage negotiations to buy groceries. I saw something about a class action suit in the works towards Kroger's overcharging practices. Now you'd think it would be when your digital coupons mysteriously are not applied, but this is expired sales tags on the floor and being charged the full price at the register. I have ran into this so check the date on the sales tag to be sure. They need to do what Safeway now does. The sale price needs to be shown as you ring it up. Not on a following page blocked by a "bags used" screen directly over it. Coincidental, isn't it? I only use self checkout because I buy a limited amount of items and I can see if the discounts have been applied. Their paper coupons usually only they can enter. Most of the attendants that work in self checkout are pretty good. The ones that blame you when their store coupons won't work do not last long. However, I wouldn't expect the full service checkers to catch a discount missed when they do your cart. Watch them carefully. The App has many problems too, and needs to be uninstalled/reloaded about once a month. That could explain some of their coupon problems. Too bad all of their money goes to advertising instead of helping the customers with their well publicized discount issues. Every time I have combine had a great experience here, but the take home fresh pizza is not good fyi! For the price I should have gotten frozen. Customer service is great at this store and everyone is so friendly. Keep up the great work! I always go to the self checkout so I can see prices and discounts. I was in there today for a few things. I found kroger 93% lean gb the sign said $4.93lb for 3 lbs. I read the sign 3x, Got to checkout and it rang at regular price. pulled the clerk over who then argued with me about it. I told him I would go back and grab sign. He grumbled sometime and finally rang it up manually. So I get home and found out my bakery item clearly read $2.50, rang up at $5.00. never have a problem at other fm. The only reason I shop here is because it is close. Just seems that employess don't care. after remodel prices went up. I also resent having ID scanned every time i buy wine. I have frequented this Fred Meyer for the past five or six years and have recently started doing curbside pickup with them. The indoor shopping experience is fine. Normal for a Fred Meyer, nothing standout. Average cleanliness, average service, parking is fine, just very normal. The curbside pickup experience has been good with a few hiccups. Employees are very nice and I've seen some of the same employees there for a few years. Mostly nice kids, respectful, and very easy to prepay and pick up things like alcohol with a quick ID scan. Also not very busy, so super easy to get in and get out with that service. I've had a few issues with incorrect orders, but it's primarily getting things that I didn't order. I once had a missing item and was notified immediately, the employee was obviously apologetic and it was no big deal. Appreciate the employees! read more

I have been shopping at this store and using the pharmacy for over 3 years. This review is for the pharmacy. When I was there a week and a half ago, my husband and I had to wait for about 20 minutes after our turn started before we got our prescriptions. The woman working at the walk up window didn't tell me how long it would take or why there was a delay. She also didn't tell me she was going to bring the pharmacist over. Usually they do a better job explaining new medications, but they didn't really make an attempt to explain anything this time. I also feel that the pharmacy could have done a better job notifying people of the change in hours. The hours were reduced so they close at 7, not 9, on week days. However, there was no message about this when I called to refill my prescription in December. read more

I've been shopping at this store since I moved here in 2001 and have seen a steady decline in quality and service on all levels. There are a few long-term staff members who are always willing to help but, on the whole, it's hard to find a staff member anywhere in the store except the checkout. The main reason I keep going is that it's close to my house. Tonight, I walked out after I saw a woman with her pet dog (not a service animal) walk in carrying a bag of poop and put it in the trash. There was another young woman with a puppy/small dog in her sweatshirt. Again, not a service animal or she wouldn't be carrying it. Freddie's either needs to enforce the "no pets in grocery stores" law or take the sign off the door and pay the penalty for breaking the law. I recommend Safeway on King Road -- always clean, nice people and NO PETS. read more

This rating is for the growler station. These places have to be tHe best place for a pint anywhere! The pints (or tulips if high gravity) are always $3! And tipping is not allowed. I've been shopping here since 2007 and I will not be returning. I'm so disappointed in their lack of ANY effort to enforce COVID protections. People were shopping without masks, with no social distancing, etc. No attempt to clean carts or even allow shoppers to clean their own carts, with no wipes or sanitizer in sight. No marks or reminders that I saw about distancing while people were in line. No attempt to get people in and out. No limits to the number of people in the store. On a Sunday morning, there were only 3 checkers open, resulting in lines to the middle aisle, with little social distancing in line. So much chaos. read more

This is the worst grocery store. Not sure what happened. Used to have nice employees, but now they are the rudest. I used to love shopping here. You used to get the discount without using your card, but now you don't and no one says anything to you. Then you get home, look at the receipt and realize you paid the super-mark-up price. Don't even bother trying to find help with anything in their hardware department. I just give up and go somewhere else. One time - left case of beer in cart so checker didn't have to lift it. Before she was even done, she made some kind of rude comment like I was trying to steal it. So next time, I took case of beer out of the cart and checker yelled at me to leave it in the cart because it was too heavy for him. So today, everyone is out of my favorite beer. Fred Meyers too. The employees are great, however this store constantly runs out of paper grocery bags because of a decision by management to limit how many they order per month. They are requiring you to have your receipt when you are leaving, yet there are no signs at the register. I had to walk all the way back to grab my receipt out of the trash. It's one thing at Costco where it is expected no matter what one you go to, but not all Fred Meyers's require this and it is really annoying and inconvenient. read more

This is a really nice Fred Meyer. I really like the updates. We have a Fred Meyer closer to us, but come to this one specifically for their Boards Head deli meat, since ours doesn't carry that brand. Lots of cheeses and wonderful things in their bakery. They have a nice deli area with a make your own antipasto platter. A sushi counter too! My only real complaint is how busy it gets, it can be hard to get service because the staff is waiting on other people. They also seem to have a lot of staff and they are all busy. I can't imagine the amount of people they need to staff for how busy they are. Lastly, I hope they update their parking lot. It's hard to get in and out of and hard to get around. I always feel like I'm going to hit someone or someone is going to hit me. read more

Wanted to buy 2 cases of Peanut Butter for local food bank so I can get the advertised 10% off. Not only would the young manager not sell me the equivalent 12 jars to make a case (like I've done for past 4 years), she would not get me the cases either. Acted like I was trying to steal or cheat. I am a 65 yr old nurse who is just trying to help hungry kids and seniors. Left with nothing, but definitely irate/ upset over how they made me feel. This used to be my go to grocery store. Ever since Kroger decided to change it up this place is horrible. You finish up shopping then try and find a register with a cashier and out of 12 registers only one is open, of course there are 20 self check out stands. I pay a premium to shop at Fred Meyers and expect my items to be rung up and bagged by a checker not myself. I'm a platinum rewards member and spend about $700 a month on groceries, since the change of cashiers I've cut my shopping here by at least half. Unbelievably rude service by an older bald headed lady at the register, I asked her if her lane was open out of courtesy instead of just putting my things on the conveyer belt, she took a sip of her drink first and was like "yeah??" Like if I was stupid for even asking. Every time I come here I legit feel like I'm on a prank show. I was here 2 days ago and waited nearly 20 mins just 1 pound of sliced turkey in the deli. when we asked the man working in the deli that refused to make eye contact with us if we could get some help, he simply replied to us with "nope". Didn't even offer to get someone else to come help, nothing. Guys I can't make this up not going to lie as annoyed as I was it was pretty funny actually. I waited for another women that was very nice she just looked overwhelmed cause she had to keep leaving and coming back to help us. On a not so funny note we purchased our second spoiled Pork roast from here. (Other time was the day before Easter we just grabbed the biggest one and come to find out Easter morning they had an almost week old roast for sale and we bought it not paying attention to the date-kind of our bad for not paying attention but also why was it for sale??) This time our roast says it's good till next week but I opened it up to a rotten egg aroma again. Considering this is seeming normal from them, I don't think I trust their meat department anymore cause I keep losing time and money. (They do say I can bring the meat back in for a replacement but the thought of bringing an opened rotten chunk of pork in my car with me makes nauseous just thinking about it lol) I added an extra star cause of course there are some nice people that work here but I think it's safe to say I'm gonna find somewhere else to shop. read more

My trimmer broke today so I came in to buy one and was reminded why I avoid Fred Meyer. All of the trimmers were behind a case so I pushed the button on the communication module to signal a store associate that I was there. I waited 10 minutes and nothing so I pushed it again. Another 10 minutes nothing. I went to a cashier who was really friendly and called on the overhead to alert an associate. Another 5-10 minutes goes by and at this point I am about ready to leave. Finally I see two younger associates at the end of the isle that were talking to one another. They finish their conversation then this young associate comes over and first thing he says is "did you push the button?" "Yep three times and nothing." He then opens the case with an attitude and flings the door open. I grab what I want and leave. No apology nothing. This store has the worst customer service. I realize that everyone is understaffed but it shouldn't take somebody 30 minutes to get over to open a case and when that happens a simple "apologies for the wait" works wonders. Train your staff better Fred Meyer. I won't be shopping at any of these stores moving forward. read more

I was only informed of this after I had paid in cash with no offer by clerk Sirisha at Oak Grove that I could pay by card or tender exact amount due. This feels like theft. Immediately after I made purchases at Dollar Tree and Walmart grocery (both cash purchases) and apparently neither had "coin shortages". Beware of a potential rip off here. Lines are always long if it's customer service or checkout. Half the customer service issues are because of stupid people not having their receipts and trying to get cash for a return. Deli section: What happened to the Deli service? I went there around 3:50pm or so and I asked if they have any more chicken tenders and the young lady just walked off. LoL she looked at me like I was some homeless guy or something (That look when she walked off. I am not homeless and I actually work.) I didnt let that bother me but it is not the first time of incident like that. Okay so I had some other shopping to do so I decided to finish up my other shopping needs and decided to come back later. Maybe after 30 minutes or so I come back and it was someone else at the deli so I asked him if they have any chicken tenders. I was told they don't make them anymore at this location. I did not know that. Its a shame they dont make them anymore since I actually enjoyed those and its the convenience of this location that comes in handy. The irony is that other Fred Meyers still has them. Its been several times now that as of yesterday 11/13/19 there is no one at the Deli hot foods section counter anymore. Everyone is just hanging out in the back standing around laughing or some out of the past 8 times of shopping. I will return and try again, hoping to see if I could improve this score in future update. read more

Most of the time the associates are hard to find and if you do find them they aren't very helpful or have an attitude. This is most common in the produce dept. I complained once to a manager there about a different produce employee, a young guy, and was told this isn't the first complaint and he would talk to him. Fast forward a few weeks and I'm in the produce and Scott another produce employee, older man, is filling the peppers. I waited a bit to not interrupt then he didn't acknowledge and kept going even with me standing on the side. Then I said excuse me and he annoyingly stepped aside no comment to me nothing. Then I quickly grabbed what I needed and he steps back to them again no comment and with body language of annoyance. As he pushes the cart away I asked, having a bad day? and he replied nope and walked away. Then came up another employee and was friendly and laughing. I'm so tired of the employees there in that department. It would be nice to also feel like they give a care about customers. This isn't all of them. I do like Rose in the meat dept. she's always friendly and helpful. I did turn in a comment/complaint card but mailed it in so that no one interrupted it and the problem may actually be taken care of. read more
