I thought the price for the items I was buying seemed high, but then, everything is too high these days. I paid $2.29 at Freddy's and I paid $1.32 for the exact same thing at Winco. I came here on 7/27/25 to shop for an instacart order. The customer had 6 items for me to get. One of the items was Aisan Pears. I looked in the produce department for the Aisan Pears and found 3 other kinds of pears but couldn't find the Aisan Pears. I found the produce worker and asked him if he had any Aisan Pears and he said they was all out. It really seems that this is a big problem with Fred Meyer stores. Always out of everything. And never ordering enough. That's why I personally don't shop at Fred Meyer stores because they are always out of everything and their prices are generally more expensive than Walmart and Winco are, and don't have to download any digital coupons on a membership card to get the sales price that is generally cheaper elsewhere. I will still shop instacart here because it's my job and I get paid to come here, but will never personally shop here. read more

The Pharmacy... some are nice. But the biggest issue is when they tell you your medication will be ready by a certain time and its not and you have to wait another 30 to 45 minutes because someone didn't post mark it... like what? It's a constant issue. read more

I have written quite a few reviews but I have to say that this particular one is the most deserving. I was in Fred Meyer to buy dinner but first wanted to check out their sales racks (which makes my wallet unhappy!). They always have sales racks throughout the apparel dept, where I've found some great clothes & incredible deals. Anyway, my back started killing me and so I had to check out or just leave the cart but a woman named Hillary, who works in apparel, jumped in to save the day. She was so sweet and helpful by letting me know about the Spring sale they are having and helping me to take advantage of it! Fred Meyer this girl should get a raise because had she not have helped me out, you would've missed out on $300 plus another $250 on groceries!! Came in @ 6:45am for a couple things. Saw the deli had my favorite sandwich available (The Patriot). Asked a worker for it and was told they couldn't "sell" it to me until 7am. Not all Fred Meyers are created equal, but the Orchards location is one of the better ones in Vancouver. After its renovation, many objects shifted locations, and to be quite honest, not everything is laid out in a way that makes sense. Even so, this particular location has several features going for it, that raise it above the bar among other Freddy's/Kroger locations, as well as other grocers and home furnishing stores. First off, it is one of the few that has both a fabulously stocked cheese counter, and a full salsa and olive/tapenade bar, both of which I am a frequent customer. The Zuniga's Hot or Hotter salsa is one of the best mass-market salsas you can buy; it's the only salsa for which I will pay actual money (I usually make my own). I'm a fan of any deli that stocks Boar's Head products, and among their various offerings, the Salsalito Chicken is incredible, and not always available at other locations. The liquor shop has a solid (yet mostly unexciting) array of standard mixers, pretty decent for a grocery store (although the nearby QFC has them beat on selection and quality of said selections), and a healthy offering of wines and beers that is unrivaled outside of specialty stores (like BevMo and Total Wine). The store is always clean and well-staffed, although the staff is not always as attentive or helpful as they could be. Produce is fresh and clean, well-stocked and the veggies are always healthy looking (no Walmart or WinCo quality crap here!). Also, the gas here is super cheap (price-wise) already, and even more so with accrued discount points (a paltry loyalty bonus, but it does come in handy once or twice a year). read more

Very good fred myers, had everything i needed. The cashier named Ella was super sweet and the bagger Brooklyn was very helpful.

I made 2 transactions there, paying for all of my items and I had my own grocery cart so I can minimize germs coming in contact to me! I go to walk out the door with my purchases which was 1 bag of items a bag of dog food only to be stopped by a security guard telling me I need to produce all of my receipts and that they check them. Don't have your managers in red vests saying hello and your checkers not saying or telling the customers to have their receipts out for checking on way out the door. I asked a guy collecting carts if they have a high theft issue and he said not that he knows of, way to make your paying customers and ones whom actually pay for their items feel like thieves and refuse to come back to your store! Really bright??? Not in my opinion, and the security guard said they check everyone and 3 behind me she didn't check theirs, but I was told this from her was company wide and I'm sorry but it's not and I would know as I shop Oak Grove, Clackamas, Battle Ground and Tualatin. I will b no ever step foot in this store again even though it might be an easier in and out on my way to Battle Ground, just due to this and I feel like you should be making your customers aware, not leave them fumbling around in purses or bags looking for receipts because I stick my receipts in my purse and it's a crossbody so it's a pain to dig through without having other shoppers almost jostle me from behind because now I'm stopped in the middle of the walkway area to the door. read more

This Fred Meyer location must have been remodeled since the last time I visited. It now has a fancy cheese section like the "high-end" store in Happy Valley, and overall, looks cleaner and nicer. With that said, though, it's still a Fred Meyer with its famously high prices, lackluster service, and a frustratingly laid-out parking lot. read more

My mother doesn't use the app for digital coupons as she doesn't have a smart phone. Erice, pleasantly greeted us at the register, and I asked her how my mom could take advantage of digital coupons without Mom having access to using the coupons. Erice took care of the applicable coupons and saved us $10 by doing so. If you have the opportunity to go through Erica's register, she will take care of you. Great Smile, and got us rang up quickly. I commonly use Orchards Freddie's on the regular and highly recommend them!!! However, their bathrooms needs major attention! Nasty dust filled, toilet seats need replaced. Please, please take some extra TLC especially in lights of germs, flu, Covid to do a deep clean! read more

When did Freddy's start hating their customers? They've put in the unpopular self-checkout stands where they used to have clerks and hired Rent-a-Cops to demand customers receipts as you leave. (Note: just like Walmart you can tell them to buzz off. They have no legal right to demand a receipt absent any evidence of theft.) They have flanken ribs on sale, and they cut them too thin here in the mainland, - we like them thicker in Hawaii - and that I was told yesterday afternoon that if I would come in the morning when the butchers are there that they would cut them for me to the thickness that I wanted. I got there at 8:45 and the woman at the counter went in the back to ask the butchers to help me she came back out and told me that they're too busy putting everything together for the sales that are on right now - which by the way, the flanken ribs are on sale - and that I would have to come back later. So in other words, they are too busy to help a customer? In a customer service oriented business, they were too busy to help a customer? Well, I guess I'm going somewhere else from now on for my meats. I guess all that boasting about their excellent customer service is just BS. read more

Shout out to Amy in Home Goods! Awesome customer service! I was on the hunt for a GraniteWare canner with jar rack and drove all over town. Seven places, guys. Had two places lie to me over the phone that they had them in stock but didn't when I showed up. When Amy got me on the phone, she actually walked back to the aisle to check. Talked about packaging details and even told me what aisle to go to because the store is so large. Give Amy a raise! To all the other customer service clerks out there that check a computer for stock, your lazy butt should be fired. read more

I love this Fred Meyer! Extremely clean... my sister said they ruined the store with their remodeling. Im sorry but she's apparently smoking something... the store is gorgeous. We stopped in to go to the pharmacy and found it was in the front of the store!!! Awesome-ness!! Pharmacy tech was super.... then.... we were drawn in...I mean $.99 large jumbo avocados? Crap now we are shopping!!! Picked up 4-5 nice avocados which was not hard to do since they were in fantastic condition.... then I got an English cucumber. Not the cheapest price but the produce was fresh... then we decided to peruse. The bakery smelled divine... the deli had cups of some samples available that we did not get but the case was clean and very well stocked. The bakery right next door also had samples... um blueberry scones were amazing! Anyway lots of fresh baked options for you... cute cake designs. Definitely a place to come if you're looking for that. We kept walking and noticed the beer, wine and liquor section...yes...... very nice. Everything stocked and done great deals. Walking toward the meat section... Mochi ice cream cooler... yea you read that right. Grab a carton... pick your favorite flavor or mix up the flavors and buy how much you want! Haven't tried mochi ice cream??? I'm sorry you've been missing out. It's a great treat from my Hawaii days... go get some. Get to the meat section and it, too, was well stocked. But wait there is this super awesome by the pound prepared food sort of freezer. So hard to describe... but imagine shrimo scampi where each individual shrimp is flash frozen with the proper seasoning already on it where you take as many as you want in a carton by the pound and cook it at home and voile it's all good!!!! Or Pesto shrimp, or fish, or mac n cheese, or potatoes a bunch of ways, or mango orange chicken, or tikki masala!! I didn't memorize all of them but look if my Fred's has this im going to be using it. I loved this concept. The store was clean, well stocked, and efficient to check out! read more

Had to get a few quick items, and, unfortunately, this was the closest store. So, here's why I'll never set foot in this FM again. They now have cameras (tablets) at every checkout. Why you ask? I wanted to know too. So I asked the nearest employ why they were filming people as they check out. Her response, "oh, we've had these cameras for a long time now." Not really an answer, probably because no one knows why. Here's the thing, if you are worried about shoplifting, increase your security team. Plunking cameras at every checkout stand is only alienating all the customers who do not appreciate their privacy being violated. I've stopped shopping at establishments that use this type of "surveillance"...what better way to say to your customers, "we appreciate your business, and glad you are here?" read more

My cashier in the home section was an extremely nice and professional guy. He was very friendly and nice to the people I was with in line. Customer had a coupon that gave a gift card with the purchase. He didn't have experience or training with the type of situation. Another employee came up and was rude and seemed irritated with him about the situation. After the transaction he apologized to me and thanked me for his patients. I told him no need to apologize. I can see how hard he was working and I appreciated him. His name was Toby and I hope to have him as a cashier again. read more

I've started using the order pickup from Fred Meyer to limit my exposure in the store. I've used it twice now. Both times my order was in my trunk and I was leaving within 5 mins from arriving. The associate was clear, concise and helpful. Very limited contact! I pull in and open my trunk, the clerk comes out with a mask and stands 6' away while I wait in my car and they go over my order and check on substitutions. Very happy with this service and will be using it going forward regardless of the virus. read more

Talks to everyone around her in such a demeaning attitude with no shame of is around making customers and employees equally with extreme disrespect. Will cut people off mid conversation and has no problem rolling her eyes when a customer is explaining something. Leading by a very bad example to the employees she is training. UPDATE: The Orchards location is not questioning folks without a mask; probably because 1/3 of the employees are wearing theors around their chin. Is this a political statement or are they just that stupid? And now they are the center of a covid outbreak. This is an update as of July 8th, 2020 - apparently this store closes in 20 minutes however ITS CLOSED NOW! What is so frustrating it through the entire Covid19 Fred Meyer has been the ONE PLACE which has not pulled this ridiculous last minute hour change without notification! I get people have to clean & restock but I have checked SEVERAL TIMES & there was ZERO INFORMATION ON THEIR APP ABOUT CLOSING EARLY! I live in a rural area & come into town to run errands & Fred Meyer was my last stop Because I THOUGHT IT CLOSED THE LATEST! Well nope, so now I have to drive 45 minutes home, drive another 45 minutes TOMORROW so I can come back. All you had to do was update your website! Oh and NOT CLOSE YOUR DOORS 40 minutes before you actually close! Because apparently now that's how things work? Stores don't actually close at 9 or 11 they LOCK THEIR DOORS 40 minutes before! I was here at 8 pm! This parking lot is actually full with people still pulling in so I'm not the ONLY PERSON who wasn't informed of the changes. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

Normally this Fred Meyer is awesome, but this is the THIRD time in a row the click-it has been way, way, way off. For starters they are subbing things out that don't make sense. For Example needed and asked for Italian Sausage for spaghetti, they subbed it out for ground sausage. Really! The other thing that is driving me nuts is who ever they have picking is not doing there job. I have received moldy bread, bad fruit and veggies. This last time they subbed out 3 items and told me they didn't have it. I asked them to look because I just saw the items in store when I picked up meat. They said they sent someone back there and they weren't there. I walked in to and found all the items. Then asked for manager. Waited about 5 to 10 minutes nothing. All I got to say is the store maybe good, but don't use click-it. read more

This Fred Meyer gets a higher rating than others because the bathroom is spotless, which is really nice. Aside from that their clothing section is laid out much better, and the store in general has a better layout than most Fred Meyer stores I've been to, which, at least for me, makes the experience so much better. I liked that it seemed like there were a lot of employees around, so if I had a question I could get an answer fast, no having to look for 10 minutes, plus the produce seemed fresh, although I admit that I didn't buy any produce, but it looked fresh. read more

I am going to have to stop shopping at this Fred Meyers, because they are not enforcing the mask mandate, even with their own employees. Many people were in the store today without masks, and I often see people there with their masks below their noses. I'm going to start doing all my shopping at Chuck's. There, they have an employee who stands at the door and offers a mask to those who aren't wearing one. I haven't seen anyone at Chuck's without a mask. I do appreciate their excellent pharmacy staff who are efficient and helpful. That's the only reason I even go to this FM anymore. read more

This review is ONLY in reference to the pharmacy, which you can tell by the stars, I don't like. They are incredibly slow in contacting doctors when out of refills and in one case, they said they were processing my refill for 8 days and still had not contacted the doctor - I called the doctor and took care of it myself, but was out of my medication during that time. This has happened on more than one occasion and you can not rely on the Fred Meyer pharmacy to do their job - receiving your medication in a timely manner, when it is needed, is not a priority for this pharmacy. Also, I get injections for migraines - the guy filling the order (just ringing it up, not the pharmacist) held up the box and asked me if I knew how much my insurance was paying for these and said you better not lose them because someone else is paying a lot for you to have these. What? He continued saying, "I could go on and on about using these" Yeah, don't - not to mention that there are is a privacy act in place, it was none of his business, nor was it the business of the people waiting in line behind me who were now subjected to hearing about my medication. Do yourself a favor and do not take your prescriptions to this pharmacy unless you are unconcerned about receiving your medication when needed, customer service and your personal privacy. read more

The store is clean, the staff is friendly.. But this has Got to be the Sketchiest public restroom I've ever been in.. As far as grocery store, restaurants, etc are concerned, that is. Walking down the corridor to the bathroom, and in the bathroom itself,, I felt unsafe, half the toilets had junk in them, the soap container fell apart as I attempted to use it. Just horrible. It took what would have been a 5-star rated grocery store and dropped it down to a 3-star establishment. The management clearly does not pay attention to detail. read more

We recently went to look at furniture at J.C Penny's in the Vancouver Mall as they were having a 40% off sale. The selection for leather recliners was limited. The only decent one was listed at an unbelievable $1,900 or $1,140 after the 40% discount and before taxes. They then offered an additional 10% off making it $1,026. This was not a top of the line chair like LazyBoy. We subsequently went to the Fred Meyer store in Orchards and purchased a similar leather rocker/recliner chair listed at $499 on sale for $349. After additional discounts of 10% for first Tues. of month shoppers and another 10% for seniors over 55, we got the chair for $229.99--- the later two discounts were given to us at the checkout as an unexpected bonus! read more
