    California Roll
    Suz A.

Stopped by for a quick lunch, decided to get some sushi. Got the California roll. I wasn't expecting anything much from a supermarket deli, boy was I wrong! Nicely seasoned rice, didn't need for shoyu sauce or wasabi. Hitting up this place again!

This is an awesome store. When you walk in you immediately pick up the vibe. The store is relaxed, clean and well stocked. The employees were laughing and having a good time together, like they enjoy their jobs (special quality now a days). The hot bar is something to behold, so much good looking to food. Even good to order. Now i will say the store trends on the expensive side of things compared to Walmart, Safeway or Grocery Outlet in Woodland. For now most of the stores are taking advantage of the lack of competition. Wonderful store and fun to be in.

High end grocery experience. It's nice to have options north of Vancouver other than Safeway and Walmart. Great vibe inside. Love their deli and prepped meal area. They even sell gelato as well as a great sushi selection and extensive ready food. Organic produce section is limited but grateful they have it. Prices are on the high end but similar to Safeway. They do have discount senior day and Wednesday is a 10% discount for military. Biggest thing to watch here is expiration dates. Hasn't happened in a few months but I try to methodically check dates. I will say the customer service staff is very helpful if you do need to return anything. We live 20 minutes away so just better to be cautious. They also have a large section of the store dedicated to organic and specialty items. Personally I love when the organic are integrated in the store so you can see overall options in one place. This results in there being multiple places in the store to find things like cream, yogurt, chips, etc. Personal preference so it's not really a negative overall! Love the vibe and staff is super friendly.

Bakery case with some beautifully decorated cakes & fruit tarts. Some cakes are whole and others you can purchase by the slice.

This place is about 20-30 minutes away from where we live, so it's not someplace we would do our regular grocery shopping, but we're happy to pop in when we're in the area and pick up some things. Their prices seems to be hit or miss, some items seemed more expensive in comparison to other grocery stores while other items were quite a bargain so I can't speak to how well they compare for a full-on regular grocery trip. We're big fans of their Huckleberry Market section which has more organic, gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan options. By my estimate they have far more variety of those types of foods for restricted diets than any other local market we've gone to, including Chuck's and New Seasons. Their deli section is quite large and has a lot of meats, cheeses and freshly prepared foods to choose from, with both hot and cold options. They even have a coffee counter and a decent sized seating area if you wanted to sit and enjoy your beverage/meal there. At the opposite end of the store they have the bakery and I was impressed with the variety of all their baked goods and how nice their decorated cakes and specialty pastries looked. We've tried a few of their baked goodies and have not been disappointed. And they do have a small gluten-free section in their fresh bakery area, too. In addition to all this they're a regular grocery store with all the usual things and brands you'd find elsewhere. Their aisles in the regular grocery store section are nice and wide, so there's plenty of room to maneuver around people & carts. In their seafood department they even have individually vacuum-sealed portions of different fish/seafood so if you only wanted one or two pieces of fish, like salmon, lobster tail or a tuna steak, you can buy them by the piece - but we aware some of the seafood they sell that way is NOT local so be sure to read the labels. We almost bought some farm-raised frozen salmon from Indonesia...yeah, that's a big no thanks on that...but I like the concept of how they are selling them individually.

Ridgefield needed a market. So, Rosauers is a welcome addition to serve the local community. We found the selection and prices to be similar to Fred Meyers, Safeway, and Albertsons, just without the drive. The supermarket has what I expect with weekly and monthly deals on meat, produce, drinks, and just about every category. Check the website for the latest if you're so inclined. Current hours: 6:00 am - 10:00 pm Special departments include: * Pharmacy (shorter hours) * Bakery (limited but fresh) * Gas station (south side of the lot) * Florist (small area) * Deli (few choices) * Huckleberry's Natural Market (local & organic) With popular, well-known, and reliable brands throughout the store, I found Rosauers to be a very convenient choice in Ridgefield. Prices weren't amazing and service wasn't either, but it was convenient. I can easily see how visiting the Tap House for some beers, Mod Pizza for eats, and Rosauers for groceries will be come a regular routine for me since I live so close.

Sadly this store has disappointed me the last several visits. The store has items advertised as a sales price on the shelves but when you check out the regular price will ring up and NOT the advertised self price. This has happened the past several visits and it is more than irritating. I have to call the clerk over to the self check out and then I have to walk back to the aisle and take a picture of the item. For the prices this store charges, that's unacceptable. Occurring once or even twice I can understand but this is happening far too often which makes me thing the store is hoping shoppers will overlook the issue and pay full price or they have the worst internal computer system available. This is a reflection of whomever manages this location and reflects in a failure on his/her part. Walmart has this system down and when this store is shut down chalk this up to one of the contributing factors.

I hadn't had the pizza here in awhile and got a slice of cheese. Not mad but why does it taste like a cheeze-it's?

I came in right at store opening and just WOW. The actual cashier ringing my groceries was a Saint…read moreseriously - what a truly lovely friendly person. She was kind and so very nice. And I engaged with a person, hesitantly as she stocked wine. I am used to Fred Meyer having their aisles now completely full of people stocking who are rude and adding things yet if you ask where something is they get annoyed and taking ten minutes to tell you they know nothing about where anything is. This was not the case - she immediately smiled and explained where EXACTLY the item was. That's the encounter I got pretty immediate so I was thinking yay, I am at a nice Fred Meyer and my shopping would go well. Nope... I have disconnected tendons on my lower legs which means the cushion to the heels of my feet lacks and standing an hour grocery shopping I try to avoid an use the motorized carts. They had a full amount of them out front but I gave up after folding my cane and getting my purse in etc as two carts in a row I would get almost in and it would beep low battery. an employee standing their I just looked at and said 'I give up' and awkwardly get a large cart because the up and down and trying to squeeze my disabled ass around to even get in and out of the carts which were parked so close that you will be disabled getting to one. He just jumped in to back them in and replug them in offering not even a single word to me.... Thanks for the wonderful shit treatment ADA people like me are VERY used to - it's just exhausting which leads me into having to practically pole vault around every aisle. Fred Meyers way now (FYI for you who have any mobility challenge whatsoever) is that EVERY SINGLE AISLE will have, in addition to the other normal shoppers, a GIANT blue cart from a store shopping fulfilling pickups and also someone stocking. I had two different people bringing in palettes and I almost fell twice since they also leave out these rather large metal step stools and love cardboard displays for select items. Then I went to checkout and I was practically laying on my cart so exhausted. Again, the cashier was so nice... and she was so nice that the person I got the impression was a manager of some kind was VERY MUCH NOT. She immediately glares at me and starts barking at the cashier. I explained to the cashier I was doing an Instacart order for a customer first and I had two donuts for me and an on sale grocery thing. I said they were probably used to us and two please double bag (which most of us do to insulate and protect for delivery. The cashier says to the manager (who is barking orders at every one who walks by) while she is hostile style bagging my groceries making me realize I should have self checked out, that it is an Instacart order. The manager says she BETTER charge for those bags correctly... I felt like asking what I had done to upset the manager. I was trying to move my cane and purse to fold the basket and make more room but she started thrusting the groceries into the cart without a word very aggressively stacking them unnecessarily. I just paid and got the heck out. I rebagged everything because it was HORRIBLE... it was six bags and she put everything heavy and glass in two yet crammed the bread and dairy horribly - putting meat on top of the strawberries and more meat on top of the eggs. She may not care about her customers but I care about mine. I know they call it Battleground - apparently that gal is ready for war!
