These Emerald and Tri-color Green Calcite Natural Stone Sculptures caught my eye as soon as I enter the store, simply gorgeous. I immediately knew the perfect place in my home for them to complement a beautiful painting with similar colors and hues. The staff is absolutely wonderful and welcoming. The staff is INCREDIBLE, they've always got the coolest clothing, home products, vintage items, decor, candles, even sunscreen and fragrances. We love going to the Malibu Country Mart, walking around, grabbing something to eat & occasionally love grabbing some wine at Fred Segal! They have a location toward the back of the store - big wine selection, also espresso etc. (a little higher priced but it's Malibu ‍). Seating outside, you can bring your dog & there's water bowls. Parking on the weekend can be rough so I'd suggest getting there early (at least 10:00am), otherwise it can sometimes take 30-60 min to find a spot. The staff are really kind and helpful. Fred Segal is one of the many stores at Cross Creek in Malibu that sells designer apparel and merchandise. This store is a branch of the Melrose store which is much larger and has a cafe. Upon entering, no greeting from anyone, in fact, I didn't see a staff member inside, despite the presence of a number of customers. My weakness are sexy killers sandal heels that are unique and high quality. I saw some I liked and even posted pic of those sandals in exotic snake and bling heels, however, I didn't see a sales person :( The store layout is organized, nice lighting, but definitely limited in terms of products. And from the look of what's available for sale, most seems to cater to the Malibu casual chic lifestyle, bohemian beachy, effortless dressing but nicely put together. Glad this store is here, just would be great to be helped by staff so I can make a purchase. read more

Oh Fred Segal! I will never quit you. As a Segal-atic, I was thrilled when I first learned this retail experience was coming to Malibu. And it did not disappoint. She is a small space but mighty! As you approach, you see the yumminess that is FS immediately. The staff are always there to greet me upon arrival. I usually start by moving to the right to browse women's shoes. There are a number of delicious men and women's fashion pieces and accessories. There is a nice sunglasses section in the back too. But the star of the show is embroidering! You can self embroider here. What fun it was for me when I tried it over the weekend. I love, love, love it. The hours are M-Sa 10-9, Sun 11-6. Go! Splurge. You only have one life - live it big! Ambling about 'Bu, stepped in with wifey recently to check out the sale, and she emerged with a beautiful Madison Maison (made in Italy, no slave labor, thank you), jacket for 50% off original price. I was visiting Malibu from out of state last week and ended up browsing through the Country Mart. Wandering through Fred Segal, I found the perfect, one-of-a-kind gift for my husband but he was with me so couldn't purchase it at that moment and we weren't going to be back in the area before heading home. I called later to see if there was any way I could purchase this item over the phone and have someone pick it up for me, then we could figure out how to get it to me. While they weren't able to do that, Alex and the manager (I think Jasmeen?) were able to offer an alternative that worked even better - so many places would have just said, "No, we can't do that." She didn't say anything. Now I come back to return it (unused and unworn) and the manager tells me there's no returns. Sure it's in the fine print of the receipt but who ever looks at that. I'm sure I'm not the first customer they will lose over a silly thing like that. It's principal. They blame the customer instead of the sales person who never mentioned it was a final sale. I bought about $2,000 worth of clothes at Fred Segal Malibu. One T-shirt was a large, but needed a medium, so I tried returning it. I'd never used it and it was still in the original packaging. Incredibly, they refuse to even exchange it for a medium. The entire ethos of the company, not to mention the customer service is despicable. It's sad, because the clothes are great.
