The entire play area is rubber so you don't have to worry about falls or wood chips. There is a nice grassy and shaded area in the middle to set up chairs and a picnic. A few tables are available but with no shade. You are also next to a dog park, hiking trails, basketball courts, baseball fields, and tennis courts. There is something for the entire family. Woods and bikes…read more Brook's Park is a very rustic park that has a wide variety of things to do. Some very nice basketball and tennis courts as well as a lovely gazebo for picnics and very gentle hiking trails with soft pine needles are found within the park. The park is situated right next to the 22 mile Cape Cod Rail Trail that goes through several towns and meanders down to the ocean for those intrepid enough to brave the chilly water to take a dip. The fact that the bike path goes through towns means it easy to stop and load up with liquid or better yet ice cream. The park is well used during the summer months and is also used for X-country skiing and snow shoeing in the winter. A lovely park to enjoy some activities or just find a peaceful and quiet corner for some relaxing and reflection.
