I'm giving 2 stars because I have had positive experiences with them in the past, but…read moreunfortunately, this most recent experience was extremely disappointing. I dropped my machine off on a Tuesday and was told the turnaround time would be approximately two weeks, with an expected return date of the 28th. When the 30th came and I still had not received a call, I contacted the store. I was told the machines only came back on Wednesdays and that I should call again Thursday. I called Thursday and was told my machine still had not returned and was given the number for the technician in Sarasota. When I called him, he seemed completely unaware of my machine. He told me he had never received or even seen it and suggested I contact the store again. When I called the store back, I finally learned what had happened: my machine had been sitting in their back room for THREE WEEKS. It had never even left the store for service. You can imagine my frustration when I then learned that the next shipment to the technician wasn't leaving for another week. At that point, they had already had my machine for three weeks, and sending it out would have meant being without it for approximately another two weeks. This isn't simply an inconvenience for me. I use my machine for orders, and I lost both time and potential income because my machine was apparently placed somewhere and forgotten. What made the situation even more frustrating was the way I felt I was spoken to when I called asking about my machine. I was made to feel as though I shouldn't be calling before the truck came back, when in reality, my machine had never been on the truck in the first place. Had someone actually checked on it during one of my earlier calls, this could have been discovered much sooner. I asked to speak with a manager but was told he wasn't there. I was eventually offered a discount if I brought the machine back, but at that point I declined. Doing so could have left me without my machine for close to five weeks total, and I wasn't willing to take that chance. I ultimately picked up my machine and took it somewhere else. I have had good experiences here in the past, which is why I am giving three stars rather than one. However, this also isn't the first time I've experienced a significant delay. On a previous occasion, they had one of my machines for about a month before I called and was eventually told the motor was bad and I needed to replace the machine. Since I own Brother machines and they are one of the Brother dealers in the area, I had hoped to continue using them. Unfortunately, after this experience, I have lost confidence in their service process. Going forward, I will make the drive to Plant City rather than bring my machines back to Tops.

I specifically asked if it was a new dryer. He told me & my husband both of us it was, but he had sold 10 Kenmore dryers & had none left in a box this was only one he had left . This should of been my 1st clue that the dryer we purchased wasn't new. He even wrote on the receipt new dryer. Turned out to be a big lie! The dryer was 4 yrs. old not new. We returned the dryer next day & he charged us $25 to credit my credit card back never charged a fee to pay by credit card originally. We also paid him $40.00 to check out my old dryer not sure if he even did that. You don't expect to have this kind of experience with someone whose been in business as long as McFarlane has. Extremely disappointed to say the least. Out $65.00 & our dryer. Did not even try to make it right.
