Finally made it in (with cash this time). Looks like and is a neighborhood Italian Deli/ grocery store / Pizza joint/ Gelato shop! Friendly staff and service is spot on! Had to decide what I wanted to try. Ordered the Italian Prosciutto "Sangwish" ordered the traditional hard roll crust. Did not disappoint. Next visit (With Cash) I'll try their Pizza selections. Mangia, Cheers & Nazdrowie!

Typical Chicago neighborhood shop/gem. We went on a cold Saturday afternoon at 330 pm. There was a line of atleast 10 people ahead of us. Service was fast, food delicious!! We tried pizza pasta, sandwiches lemon chicken, Tiramisu and eggplant dish. Everything was on point. Food was rich, buttery. Please dont go if you are on a diet. The owners wife came to the seating are multiple times spoke to every table and made every one feel so welcome. Loved the food but more than that the whole experience makes you feel you are in Italy!

Love love love this place! The only thing I wish I could change is it being CASH ONLY because we hardly ever carry cash and we usually want all the things. We walked out today with two arancinis, a packet of 10 frozen meatballs, and a hearty beef lasagna. The server was nice and threw in some bread. Total with a small tip was $40. We did NOT get gelato or at least one slice of pizza but that's what we would have done if we had more cash. The staff is friendly. Be prepared. We went at 530 pm to beat the crowd but there was a good group of peeps who had the same idea. We enjoyed 2/3 of the lasagne when we got home after a quick reheat and supplement of some garlic bread. Tomorrow we'll have the arancinis before the steak I plan to cook up. BB will enjoy any leftovers for lunch later this week. Staff is friendly. Stop at the ATM so you can get all the things.

Freddy's has been around since the late '60s, and the place is 2-fold; one side of the building is your typical Italian mart with meats, pastas, pies, and desserts, while the adjacent space is a 'dine-in' area. We came here for an early lunch, and we ordered: +a Suppli - a rice ball filled with spinach and cheese; this was a little too bland for me, and more rice-filled than the spinach and cheese +Gnocchi - ricotta cheese-filled gnocchi in a vodka sauce; while the gnocchi was pillowy, it was a bit overcooked, so it was too mushy; wasn't a fan of the vodka sauce +a slice of a a margherita (thick crust) - just too bread-y; this was just okay +and, a slice of a sausage (thick crust) - more on the saltier end due to the sausage; crust was just okay I did like the fact that they heat up items for you, and they do come out piping hot. Staff were pretty friendly and helpful, and they're pretty efficient. The place itself is cute, and I liked looking through their small market area. The place is definitely a popular spot, as people kept coming in to get food to go, get food to eat next door, etc. +friendly service +street parking available

Very good and fulfilling pizza. I would definitely go back there. They got some other stuff too, that might be worth trying.

I was in the area and needed my Freddies fix. The food is homemade and I have never been disappointed. My tip is to come early, parking and seating is limited.

Our Patas Bravas dish did come out a little late so we were not able to enjoy it as much since we were getting full, but it tasted heavenly with the dipping sauce. Chef Gabriel's food is creative and delicious. His brother-in-law Jose, I believe, is the one behind the great cocktail list and making housemade aperitifs. The four of us shared two appetizers. The tuna tartare - chopped tuna on top of creamy avocado surrounded by crispy capers and quail yolk. It was served with homemade potato and vegetable chips. We also shared the goat cheese - creamy melted goat cheese sitting in a pool of tasty marinara. This was served with grilled baguette pieces. This appetizer could use more of the baguette as we ran out of bread and still had goat cheese left to enjoy. For dinner, my sister had the gnocchi with braised beef, short rib, spinach and mushrooms. I know this dish was delicious because this is what my husband ordered the first time we dined here. My two cousins had the chicken limone and said it was very good. (I have my eye on this for next time ). I opted for the branzino which was moist and served in a delicious lemon caper sauce. I would like to see a traditional pasta with marinara sauce on the menu. I think that would be a great addition for clientele who are into the traditional instead of the creative and unique. There was no room for dessert, but shots of limoncello came to the table. So sweet of Divino. Let me tell you the limoncello was amazing. Luckily, I was able to buy a bottle of this housemade limoncello. Since the four of us were raving about the limoncello, right before we walked out the door Divino gave us a tasting of the housemade pistachio cream. Omg! So smooth, creamy and divine. We enjoyed our conversations with the chef and his brother-in-law, the other owner. Great guys who care about their customers and restaurant.

We had a taste of each other's plate and we all agreed each dish had outstanding flavors. Simply delicious! The food exceeded all expectations. I can go on and on. Highly recommend! The next was a late night dessert and limoncello run (more on that in a second). The third was today (8/23/2026). The first time, it was clear that they were working hard to make a name for themselves. We talked to the owner and the chef and they were awesome. Similarly the food blew us away. So food, so friendly and just a great time. Not too long after we were walking down Maddison and stopped in for a dessert and drink. Now we learn that not only are the desserts amazing but they don't just have limoncello, they also have various other cellos! Pistachio and coffee are excellent, but check back for more! Tonight, we walked in and sat outside. The staff were amazing. Very attentive without hovering. Impeccable service! And their recommendations in the food, wine and desserts was spot on. We shared appetizers (calamari), mains and dessert, all of which were just as good as when they opened, maybe better. River Forest had a ton of great bar and grill places with good food. But Paicere Mio is on a different level. Don't just make it special occasions you come here. We came on a Sunday at 5:30 pm. Just get here and thank me later.

The restaurant is teeny, tiny. The are 2 booths, one on each side of the wine cooler. 2 adults cannot sit comfortably on one side ~ 1 adult and 1 child is the max. Also, at the booths, the table is very far away from the bench. You have to move forward to the front edge of the bench to eat over the table. They are a BIG miss ~ so I recommend avoiding them. However, the rest of the tables are on top of one another, so do not expect to have a private, quiet conversation, while not being bumped by a server or someone trying to leave their table. Saturday night was packed with people waiting, standing right over the tables closest to the door. I know nothing can be done to accommodate as many diners as possible. Do not expect the usual Italian meal. Do not go hungry because no one leaves with a doggie bag. A side of asparagus consisted of 4 small spears for $10. A lot of fish on the menu. New to me, balsamic drizzled on top of your vanilla gelato as dessert. The "special" guava cheesecake was special because it consisted of pastry shells with whipped cream not a forkful of cheesecake to be found. Food was good, service was excellent, most interesting interpretation of Italian fusion.

The bread service was fantastic. The tomato focaccia and the baguette were both excellent and I had to remind myself not to fill up on it before the main meal! LOL! For dinner I ordered the margherita pizza which was simple and delicious. I ended up ordering a second one to-go for my partner who couldn't make it to dinner. He also loved it - even after it sat for ~30 min or so while we chatted more, then drove home to the Maywood area. I would imagine their delivery is pretty good based on that! My mom had the rigatoni vodka with added crumbled Italian sausage which she loved, and my dad ordered the Marcelino. He loved the generous amount of seafood and how well seasoned it was. Half off apps and $8 wine. I order Pinot Grigio, baked goat cheese, and calamari. Here's how it went: -Wine was 100% a Chardonnay. I tried to drink it but I really, really couldn't. -Baked goat cheese. Sauce and cheese had flavor, pesto on the bread did not. Not a huge problem but I did notice. -Fried calamari. SIGH. As rubbery as one can get and kind of tasted like the fryer oil needed to be changed. I packaged it up to go (I think I felt too embarrassed to leave a full plate), but threw it away before I got to the car. All in all, I think it could have been good. Maybe I came on the wrong day?
