After getting my haircut from my barber in Hillside, I ordered from Q's Restaurant & Pizzeria online via Uber Eats pickup. Q's has had my interest since discovering it sometime ago while in search of "pizza". At the time of my discovery, its 4.6 rating out of (120+) was the assurance I needed that I would have a quality experience, plus an endorsement from my barber. Looking through the menu, I took interest in items like the baked tilapia, eggplant sandwich, eggplant parmigiana, shrimp alfredo, pasta with broccoli sauce, and their pizza of course! Out of all, I ended up ordering their eggplant sandwich, which came with a side of crinkle cut fries. Whether it be Grubhub or Uber Eats, I love ordering online because it is convenient. Most of the time my orders are completed upon my arrival or near complete. By the time I arrived at Q's Restaurant & Pizzeria my order was waiting behind the counter during this ordering experience. Picking up was just confirming my name, ordering platform, and I was well on my way. I am grateful to have had a smooth online ordering experience because the likelihood of me ordering online again at the location is very high. As for my order, the eggplant sandwich smelled so wonderful once I got inside my vehicle and got my first whiff of it. It was then that I realized I had a 12.7-mile drive back to my residence in Chicago. If there was any time I would have loved for someone to take the wheel of my vehicle, it would have been that moment so that I could enjoy my eggplant sandwich. I was pleased to see the generous portions given of the eggplant sandwich and crinkle cut fries once I opened the styrofoam container. Oh my was it delicious! I will say this! Eggplant sandwiches taste better than the name appears if you have not had one before. I am quite positive that I will order it again as time goes by because it sure was satisfying. So satisfying and filling that I did not have any room for the crinkle cut fries, which I barely touched and ended up eating the following day. If you are looking for something to order on the menu at Q's Restaurant & Pizzeria, I recommend the eggplant sandwich because you will not be let down. In closing I had a good experience as I have indicated in this review of Q's Restaurant & Pizzeria. I could surely see myself ordering from again off-and-on when I am in the area likely for a haircut. This is a pretty solid thin crust pizza. I have heard about it for a long time and finally tried it. I ordered well done extra sauce. The crust is great and almost identically reminds me of another legendary Chicago thin crust pizza pub. The sauce had good flavor along with the cheese and sausage. I love the old school neighborhood vibe inside. If I lived closer I would be going there quite often. If you haven't tried this place yet. The Italian Beef was more like a French dip sandwich. The beef was very thinly sliced and dry. The green peppers were toasted rather than steamed and the bread was more like a french baguette. I grew up in Hillside and know what an Italian beef sandwich is! This was not an "authentic" beef. Far from it. The service was good. My companions had the pasta and marinara and said it was ok. I had their pizza about a year ago and it was good. If I went back that would be the only thing I would even consider ordering. There were four of us that went to Q's tonight for the pizza and lasagna. The pizza was great, as usual but the cheese lasagna was awful. It was as flat as can be on the plate; no layers and a pile of mush. We ordered three plates for this terrible lasagna that was flatter than a pancake. What a terrible disappointment. What happened to your 2" high pasta layered with cheese and sauce? We also had salad and the creamy garlic was tasteless. Did they forget to put the garlic in the dressing? I think they should just stick to pizza since the rest of the food was a total disappointment to us. We will most likely not return there unless it's for pizza. I do not recommend anymore. Pizza good; lasagna was a flat sloppy mess. They need to go back to the drawing board on their lasagna recipe. There weren't any layers, just a glob of flat noodles covered up with sauce. They should be embarrassed to serve this. Not going back again. read more

Ordered ceaser salad it was a small salad with lettuce tomatoes and olives (no Parmesan) with dressing on side? Not at all like typical Cesar? We then had chicken Marsala which consisted of 2 small dry chicken breasts swimming in a soup of Marsala sauce? We are used to a thicker Marsala presentation. Meal was a huge disappointment. We recently went back to Q's after not having the opportunity to go for a while. We were so happy to see that the "Q's experience" has changed very little. The staff was warm and pleasant, and the pizza was as delicious as it has always been. I consider Yelpers "family". I trust their opinion, judgement and experience. In doing so and since I am in this neighborhood often, I gave Q's a try. I ordered a 15 inch (odd size) half pepperoni, half sausage, all garlic, well done, pie cut pizza. Execution was spot on. When I bit into my slice, may it be the sausage or pepperoni one, I was happy. Then as I continued it got worse and worse. And once I got to the crust, I panicked. That crust was as hard as it is to get sex from a menopausal woman! The crust could be used as the core of a baseball. Also, the pizza was dry. Where was the sauce to this pizza? Missing? I don't know. Will I still listen to the advice of Yelpers? Yes. Even though this did not work out, my answer is still "yes". As I said in the beginning of this review, "I consider Yelpers "family"." We've been going to Q's for decades. We enjoy the atmosphere and service. Liz works at the service desk. She seats you when you come in. If the waitress is busy, she asks us what we want to drink She does a little waitressing right now, and we've ask for her. It amazes me how she takes the order without writing it down (and gets it right). She's a good server. Very attendant. read more
