Ordered 23 arrangements for an event. 14 arrived after the event began. 2 were no shows. Centerpiece flowers were not as discussed and did not match the other arrangements at all. Refunded for the 2 no shows and have not received a return phone call from the owner. Tried to work with the employees who took my order, and am certain the owner knows the whole situation as she was sitting there when I went in immediately after the event to discuss the issues. She did not intervene either to assist her employees or to provide customer service. Flowers provided were beautiful, but do not recommend for events! read more

Worst arrangement and poor excuse!!! The arrangement received was horrible. I gave them a chance to correct it by sending a new arrangement that contained red roses or a full refund. I paid $70 & got a $17 refund. The arrangement was delivered on Friday and on Sunday the flowers were wilted. My husband came went into the facility and personally ordered and paid for flowers that he was assured would be delivered on mother's day. He received no call or email stating that they would not be delivered. I being the recipient of these flowers am trying to be graceful. However, it is extremely disappointing that this business didn't even attempt to notify him that they would be unable to make this delivery. Due to this pandemic, my daughter was unable to be here. I ordered flowers and a mylar balloon as a birthday gift. Order was submitted via their website on Tuesday with request for delivery the next Friday. I received an automated email confirmation so assumed all was well. On Friday morning, I received an email telling me the flowers had been delivered. That evening, I contacted the intended recipient, who lives in Fredericksburg, to wish her a happy birthday and make sure she got the flowers. She said she was home all day and no flowers were delivered. I called the florist multiple times, left messages and emails but have still had zero response. I lodged a complaint with the BBB, hoping for a resolution but still nothing. Oh, except another automated email thanking me for my order and asking me to order more flowers. I think NOT! I have used Merryman's for as long as they've been open. Valerie and Robin and others on the staff always treat me as a valued customer and produce "spot-on" whatever the request. Whether a table arrangement for home, a display for a funeral or a gift arrangement for someone special, they give value for the buck. The arrangement I picked up yesterday and gave as a birthday gift, was full of blooming flowers and full of buds just wanting to burst out in color to create a lasting arrangement. I have seen beautiful flower arrangements come out of there, I know there are good florists there, but who is running this place!? The new management that came with the "fredericksburg flowers" name seems to be a completely different place. I ordered an arrangement to be sent to my boss, and asked for something "modern." Well, when I saw it, I thought it was the wrong thing, it could not have been less modern looking. And, to top it off, it didn't have a card in it!!! They didn't know WHO the flowers were for, WHERE they came from, OR who SENT them! I tried to call several times, and got no answers...they told me that "someone" signed for it, but they couldn't read the name, then a promised return call that resulted in no help, no answers, no refund. I don't even know for sure that those were the flowers I had delivered! Again, this was at my office so I saw what came through the doors the day I ordered them for, and didn't see anything else so pretty sure that had to be it. I had such a great experience with Merryman's for my wedding flowers. I knew what I wanted and they delivered exactly the vision I had in mind. We had an October wedding, but I wanted light pink flowers (most people pick oranges and purples for autumn) and they were so easy to work with and accommodating. I order, and paid for, my daughters wedding flowers in October 2018 for her wedding which was Friday, January 25, 2019. Emails were sent by our wedding coordinator the month of the wedding to all vendors, including Fredericksburg Florist. The day of the wedding came...no flowers...our wedding coordinator called and the owner refused to talk to her or return her calls, even though we faxed copies of the paid receipt, and contract emails. With one hour to go until the wedding was to begin, The Silk Mill (where the wedding was being held) called Thompson-Westwood Florists and asked if they could do an emergency flower delivery...thank God they did! I went to Fredericksburg Florist the Monday after the wedding to speak to the owner. The clerk called and asked her to come to the shop to talk to me...at first she refused, but then she called back to the shop and said she'd be there in 4 minutes. I sat in a chair to wait. She came storming down the sidewalk, burst in the door with her arm stretched out in front of her and screamed, "I have the police on the phone and I want you to leave my business right now!" I said, "Good! I'll wait right here, I'd like to talk to them, too!" She proceeded to yell at me and into the phone (which I am sure the dispatcher was recording) that she wanted me served with a Notice Forbidding Trespassing (NFT) and she wanted me out of her business. Long story short...the police came...they gave me the NFT...she left and said she had sent her son to get my money...he came back and said his mother had called and said she didn't want him to give me the money because she wanted to send it by Certified Check/Certified mail...I told her son that since the police officer was still there, I was sure he could certify that I had been given the refund ($1,096.80)...still no refund one week later! Buyer beware...This is not a reputable business and Angela Williams, the owner, has some serious professionalism issues. read more

This florist is a member of Teleflora.com. When they accept an order from me (and they did) they are supposed to honor that order for the price that was charged to the customer's credit card. They reserve the right to SUBSTITUTE an arrangement of the same value. I ordered a PREMIUM grade special bouquet for my mother-in-law for a combination Mother's Day/Birthday - she was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer and we wanted the flowers to be special. My family sent me a picture of the delivered arrangement. I was astonished to say the least! The minimum amount of flowers used and the absence of certain others was sub par to even the most basic arrangement offered. The special vase was not included but one that can be bought at Target for under $3.00. We are so embarrassed!!! My family gave me the name of the florist and I called them. The owner, Robin, told me that Teleflora.com robbed her of her cost to make the arrangement by taking a high % off the top of the price to order, therefore I would not receive flowers equivalent to the price paid. If I didn't like it I could call Teleflora and complain. She told me to order direct next time and not use this wire service. I have been using Teleflora.com for years - I have never been forced to pay for such an inferior product. Teleflora offers a 20% discount back on the product charged when they are notified of dissatisfaction. I appreciate that but the florist (merchant) should be held responsible to honor their membership agreement with the wire service and take their battle to them directly and not punish the unsuspecting customer. In my case, they handed my web order over to another florist, who would not do the arrangement I selected on for the price I was paying. There was too much confusion about who the flowers were to be delivered to and when they could be there. I placed my order online Friday evening for a Sat. delivery only to be told it would be Monday. I okayed this only to receive a phone call Monday asking if I was home to deliver my flowers to, I told her I wasn't the to receive the flowers the flowers, the conversation went down hill from there. I drove down from Manassas on a weekend to discuss flowers for my wedding. I came in to schedule an appointment and glance through some gallery books of what this florist offered. The woman seemed like she did not even want to give us the time of day and was very annoyed that we came in without an appointment. She also asked where I was getting married, and then put down my venue for a long time. She talked about how that place was outdoors and was "ugly" and how when she went there previously, it had stormed so everything was muddy. Although this may have been true, it was upsetting to hear these things and worry about it so close to my wedding day. I went to Westwood's Florist on Plank Rd after this experience, and it was a complete 180! The women were helpful and really took the time to learn exactly what I wanted. The flowers at my wedding were absolutely gorgeous, and they even thought to include some extra flowers for the cake for free!
