When we went to register, I was shocked that they tried to give us a space up front that didn't amount to much more than a regular parking space up front by the office. I asked my husband to change it and we got one in the back near the Pond and dog park, as we have 2 big dogs. The Spaces are pretty good, although the grass could be in better shape. At least we had a shade tree. The laundry had 3 Washers out of Order. But the facility is clean. They also have showers which we will check out tomorrow. read more

This is a great location close to downtown Fredericksburg. It was an easy mile walk to Marketplatz or a short Uber ride if you don't feel like driving. Checkin was very simple. The spots are typical for an RV Park. It's very clean and quiet. The bathroom facilities are very nice and clean. The exercise room is a nice added touch. The check in staff was a very friendly up beat lady. Very personable. The spots were clean and the park was very quiet and well maintained. The only drawback I saw was there is an on at dusk light at each site where your hook ups are. I think it promotes a safe secure environment but it was very bright when trying to sleep. We put a folding chair bag over it when we went to bed and problem solved. It was also very close to town and all the shops and restaurants. We had a good stay at about 1/4 the price of a hotel or B&B. I would definitely stay here again. read more

Loved the location! We are new to rv'ing so not a lot to compare this park to yet. However, we chose it based on full hookups and location, location, location. Each space seemed quite roomy. It rained a bit for 3 of our 5 days. Because of the gravel some have mentioned (complained about) in previous reviews, our rv was not a mucky muddy mess. We made use of the picnic table and enjoyed sitting outside watching tv. We also made use of the recreation room. It is quite roomy with a full kitchen foozeball, pool table, and shuffleboard. 2 big screen tvs. And plenty of seating and tables. Just outside was a big beautiful ice machine. The only down side was the awful stench in the bathrooms. One was closed for maintenance. Another had a broken seal between toilet and floor so all the sewage gas smell was seeping in and overpowering the place. And another toilet that kept getting stopped up. Washers and dryers were available but we did not need those. Other than the nauseating smell, the bathroom / shower areas were clean, well lit, and had ample space. The park is well lit but not too bright at night. The manager and maintenance live on site. There is a park for kids to play. Place to walk dogs. And a small pond with water features. They smell too and the water is green so we didn't spend much time by there. read more

My youngest daughter and her husband recently purchased a new travel trailer and have been exploring our great State of Texas on the weekends. They picked this spot on short notice. What a great find. It is very close to all the action on Main Street(less than a mile away) it is the cleanest RV park I have ever seen. We had a perfect spot very close to the free ice machine and very clean bathrooms that each had a private shower. The fees include cable tv and all the hookups for sewer. It was like camping with camping. read more

Check-in was - well, they hand you a map, show you where your site is and send you on your way. The park is mostly long term which surprised us since it is wine country. We love wine and that's why we came but we were not willing to pay the exorbitant prices they charge. The wineries are quite proud of their product. Back to the park. The roads are paved but the sites are teeny tiny red gravel. Needless to say, you drag it all over especially when wet. And it was very wet when we were there. It is so irritating. The interior roads are a bit tight maneuvering for large RVs, and the trees need a good trim. Our site was level and plenty long enough for our 45-foot MH and toad. Sites are nearby with some sites having more space than others. Each site has a "rustic" picnic table on a concrete pad. Our virus software wouldn't let us use their WII FI so we don't know if it works or not. Verizon was 4g 3-4 bars so we were able to use our hot spots. Satellite is possible in some sites. The campground map shows that there is a trash bin up by the restrooms/laundry which is in the middle of the park. I found out the hard way by slogging up there from the back row in 27 degree weather that there actually isn't one. The only trash bins are at the front of the park as you exit - really? We heard traffic noise off and on and some type of heavy equipment sound but we couldn't figure out where it was coming from. The trip here, sadly, was a fail. read more

Amazing location to the main strip and that's all this park has going for itself. It's pricier than all the other parks around here, the sites are almost on top of each other, the upkeep is lacking and they have too many trees. It's the fall, so all the leaves have been allowed to just pile up at each site which is a huge mess. They also barely have any grass, which means it's mostly dirt. If you want space and more room, pick another park, if that's not important and you want to be close to the action then this is your place. read more

I was able to get a last minute reservation for Friday and Saturday night in the overflow. I was jealous I was not in a regular/ upgraded site but happy we were able to get in. The park has clean 24hr bathrooms and showers. In the back of the park, there are a couple of little area you can sit and look at the pond or waterfall. The staff here were all so friendly to us making sure we didn't need anything and if we had questions. Nice park 5 minute drive from Main ST. You can walk but it's about 25 min walk. We did walk back from Main St. once ..it wasn't a bad walk the weather was perfect, nice breeze..but found calling Uber worked, they were quick to get to you. Directly next door is a food truck court - has live music on Thursday and Saturday nights - the good thing is you can't hear the music in the RV park so no one can get annoyed.. they have an eclectic choice of foods, nice clean area with room for social distancing. They even have a couple areas for your kids if you want to bring them. This RV park is off the main drag but close enough to get to.. so you can enjoy some peace and quiet before you get back to the hustle and bustle. We will definitely be back. read more

Very nice outlook on this park and super convenient to the town. Bathrooms are clean and functional and nice laundry area. For big pull through sites the trees need a trim. We parked carefully and opened the slides between the branches and will back out today rather than pull through. Went out to enjoy morning coffee soon after 8 but went back inside as noisy commercial lawn mowers and trimmers were at work. Don't forget your bug spray as the bugs here bite all day. read more

One of our favorite RV Parks in Fredericksburg! All of the sites are pull thru with 30/50 amp service, water and sewer. They are also all fairly level and long. The sites themselves are made of crushed granite and each site is raked smooth after each guest departs. There's a decent amount of space between sites with a long grassy area and a picnic table. Most sites are also at least partly shaded. The park itself is very clean and well maintained. The staff is super friendly and helpful and your furry friends will appreciate the fact it is pet friendly. Plus, the location is awesome -- just a few blocks from the downtown area. And -- if you don't feel like cooking or going into town, there's a food truck park right next door. Don't forget -- it's a Good Sam Park so you'll score a discount with your Good Sam membership. I have only one con and although not a deal breaker, it is definitely worth mentioning -- especially if any of your passengers are older or are at risk of falls. My caution is regarding the new landscape timbers they are installing. They fully line both sides of each site, between the crushed granite and the grass. I'm not sure of their purpose, other than perhaps they help keep the crushed granite from migrating into the grass and I guess they do keep people from driving over the grass, but they are a definite trip/fall hazard, so please be mindful of them. If possible, position your RV entry steps so you enter and exit at the small concrete slab that holds the picnic table. There is an opening between the landscape timbers in this area. You'll also want to be careful walking to and from your car or truck and entering and exiting same, especially at night. At the end of your stay, be mindful of the timbers as well as it is difficult not to run over the edge of one as you pull forward and turn to exit your site. If the owners of this park happen to read this review, I urge you to please reconsider the use of the landscape timbers. Other than this one fairly recent addition, your park is lovely! It's everything we look for in an RV Park and without the timbers would easily score a 5 star review! read more

This might not seem like much, but we traveled here from So Cal and this is the only place that offered free ice, 24 hours a day. Used to be great until the new owners. Managers are very rude and inconsiderate. Many have moved away because they were told all that matters now is the bottom line, and not the kind people staying there. Gravel spots not level. Zero amenities. We hade our RV shot by #4 buckshot by the next door neighbor while he was "cleaning his shotgun. Over 20 dents in the side of our rv from the shot. Almost hit a large group of people gathered for fellowship and music. Thank God no one was hurt, or killed. Too expensive also. Do not recommend. read more

I organized a RV Rally in this campground for Open Range RV Owners. We had a great time, and loved the area. The owners and staff were fantastic to work with. We through them a few curve balls, but they handled everything with professionalism and grace. We found the campsites to be clean and well-maintained. Their full hook-ups worked great, with no issues with water pressure or inconsistent electrical power. Their rally rooms were clean and well-stocked and the access to free ice was fantastic. The proximity to the downtown area was ideal for our group as we took in wine tours, a tour at Garrison Brothers Bourbon Distillery and a shop hop of area quilting shops. We found the location, price, service and amenities to be ideal for a group our size. I would recommend this park to anyone traveling to Fredericksburg. read more

Rules, rules, rules. We were told to park our extra vehicle by the office. 4 days later when we were preparing to depart (9 am) received 3 calls, voice messages and a note on the windshield demanding, and I mean demanding that we move it. Why not just ask us? Moved it to the empty site next to us to load the dogs. Told we would be charged a fee if we were not out of that spot in 15 minutes. Check IN is at 1:00 so what is the problem? water froze (not their problem) but they did not offer to let us move or run a water hose to another site to fill the tank. Maintenance started digging up the pipe by our rv before we had even left. Pet area was not the greatest and they have a pond nearby with ducks that are their pets. Not a great combo, dogs and ducks. I will not stay again because being treated with disrespect is not my idea of a family vacation. People do not have to be mean to get what they want. read more

Nothing special here. Narrow paved roads with gravel pads. It is just a parking place for visiting Fredericksburg. The sites are too close for my long term taste but okay for a couple of days. The park is treed with some sites unable to accommodate a bigger rig than a pod type trailer (they initially assigned one to my 40+' motorhome). Some of the roads also have turning radius' that are not meant for the afore mentioned coach. The office lady is one of the most unfriendly people I have ever met in an RV setting. The park's longterm RVers thought nothing of coming onto my site and taking over my picnic table to watch a repair next door. They were not especially friendly when I went out to see why they were drinking beer, without offering me one, at my site. Oh yeah, the internet here is pretty much at the standard set by all RV parks, it sucks. Fredericksburg is a great place to visit. read more

So well located near downtown amenities, museums, farmers market. Not an out in the country vibe, so you know. Sites have electric & waste dump included. Sites are close together; more community than privacy, fyi. Super clean bathroom/shower complex. Clean laundromat. Good pet policy. Great RV option for Enchanted Rock 1 day & in town attractions the next. WiFi is free...caught up on Netflix list. We rented a turnkey travel trailer from Outdoorsy & it was a great value vs. expensive hotels. read more

We stayed here June 7 thru June 20. The park is very nice. Lots of permanent residents. The grounds are very well taken care of with the exception of goat weed stickers. Our poor small dog had trouble walking in some of the grassy areas because of them. Trees are kept trimmed. All pads are pull thru and have crushed rock on them. There is a small pond at the back with a few ducks and a koi pond and small setting area. Very clean private showers and restroom and a clean laundry area. We also had basic cable. We felt very secure here and we were close to downtown, HEB and a Walmart. The only complaint we had was their Wifi and it was awful. As bad as it was they should not even advertise it. Also had a large ice machine with free ice which was very nice since we were there in the summer. Will definitely stay here again. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is due to their Wifi. read more

Drove in to see if any openings, and the decal accommodated is with 1 night. My reply was great we are passing thru, let me tell you that this rv park has most all pull thrus, very clean and even though we didn't use them, they have washers/dryers/irons/ free ice/ a Rec room with shuffle board and the best of all. Multiple shower rooms individually and all clean. Not a community shower. This was a great perk. Would definitely recommend. read more

Although the location of this RV park is nice we unfortunately did not enjoy our stay. The sites are unlevel rocks and the grass has sticker berries. There is a dog run but no bags and only one trash can in the dog run area, none throughout the park. We also saw one full timer on the end have signs in their grass showing no dogs pooping. No firerings, no bbq pits and small picnic tables. Because of the rocks and sticker berries we laid out carpet, missing the fact that carpet on the grass was against the rules but, instead of calling us and asking us to move the carpet, when we return back to our trailer, everything was in disarray because they moved all of our chairs and threw our carpet up on the rocks. To the management, next time just ask to correct the infraction, do not touch other peoples properties. read more

I really love this park. It is clean and we'll maintained. The staff is supper friendly. However, if you expect wifi, it is nonexistent. And there are no plans to make it better any time soon according to the office. I am literally right by an antenna and it does not work. I was told to go to Time Warner and pay for my own. I have been here for a few months and the monthly fee was increased without any notice. And if you have a pet, expect to remove stickers from their little feet often when out for a walk. Even the "dog park" is full of stickers. We don't even bother to go there. All in all its nice. read more

2/27 - 2/28/2013 All sites are pull-throughs,with gravel pads. We were able to get in for 2 nights without a reservation. However, I recommend making one if you're coming through around the first of March. Found out it's Texas Independence Day March 2nd, and they fill up every year. We would have loved to stay longer since this park is very close to museums, restaurants & shops. People were very friendly and informative about what to see in the area. read more
