My fiancé and I happened to come across the trade days on our way out from Fredericksburg. We recently moved into the San Antonio area and have been interested in decor. You can't miss these trade days! It was $5 cash to park in the lot and it was enormous! I could not believe the amount of stands and displays with antiques, trinkets, crafts, and even plants! There was so much to look at and explore :) I really enjoyed walking through and visiting the different stands. It was a hot day, so I was grateful for the froyo stand that offered dairy free pineapple dole whip - the person running it is a genius. I liked that there was such a variety and price range for the stuff here. It would satisfy the thriftiest person to the choosiest - we took some business cards from the small businesses here to commission in the future for home decor :) You have go check this place out if and when you're in town!

Beautiful day to wander the booths. Some antiques. Some new things. Love the wine barrel crafts. Great food there with music on the stage. Wood fired pizza place was awesome! And we're from NY saying this. The two young guys running the pizza stand are hard working and very personable. They make great pizza! We ordered a spicy pizza and a meat pizza. Great pizza! Great flavor! True wood fired!

Wow. I struggle to find the exact descriptive words to explain this place. It is definitely something you must do. Plus, ensure you schedule yourself enough time. My friend and I came close to closing time and had about 40 minutes to explore, and we left wanting to come back and spend just part of a day to see stuff. I have never been somewhere that truly pictured the famous American phrase "one man's junk, is another man's treasure". Yet that doesn't explain it either, because mixed into that are amazing artisan crafts and food. This makes most swap meets, craft shows, antique shows and flea markets I have been to in the past look like childs play. Plus, the pure size of it all, blows the mind. Where do you start? If I was opening some type of boutique hotel or B&B, this would be the BEST place to find décor. There is even a beer garden with live music in the center, and several food stands throughout. You really can easily make a day of it. It might even be a great place for a first date, you will definitely be seeing lots of things that would be great conversation starters. This is also a great place to break up the wine tour visits along the main 290 wine route just outside Fredericksburg.

This place is a bit overwhelming your first time and you have to plan to spend a while there wandering through all the aisles. It's really cool to see the random things people are selling, you never know what you'll find. The food options there are pretty good too, although some of them are a little pricey. There were so many people with dogs too, can't wait to bring my dog with me next time!

Cacti, and longhorns, and oddities oh my! Trade Days is everything i've been hoping to find. Yards upon yards of wonderful, interesting finds for great prices. My ADD soon kicked in and I was overwhelmed. where to start where to start? Too bad I don't own a home yet because I'd have a honey do list for days that involved lots of interesting items from Trade Days. Instead, I found some affordable what nots to make my apartment cuter, including a hanging basket for my hummingbird flower seeds(that will soon arrive) for only $2. I even found a frame for a hard to fit print for just $2. A little banged up, which is exactly what my letterpress print was longing for. I was sad to find an intriguing monkey Catherine doll (so I love monkeys, so what) that was much higher than I'd ever pay. collectible schmollectible. I love the fact that you can spend the day roaming the grounds for finds along with your dog since its a pet friendly place. Lots of yummy food for sale, which I wish we'd have tried but we were holding out for dinner in Fredricksburg since it was our first visit. Live music(and beer)added to the atmosphere and made the day even more fun. We visited on a Sunday so it was a little picked over..but most everything was on 'special'...and we got a parking pass to entice us to come back next month. HAPPY TONE!

    Is it dog friendly?

I wouldn't recommend it, it's mostly antique stands.

There is a central area with a biergarten (that is where the ATM is) & several food trucks offering everything grilled or fried.

What a cool 'hidden find' in the Leander area!…read more It's a bit of a misnomer to call this a 'flea market', but that's a minor point to quibble over. Rather, this is a collection of rather eclectic shops selling mostly used or refurbished items. These range from vintage glass and antique furniture all the way to collectible baseball cards. Everyone I spoke to at one of the stores was friendly and sometimes willing to negotiate a price on an item. I look askance at some of the reviews which claim 'I didn't get a deal'. You have access to the internet, after all. Even on your smart phone. You should be able to find out if the vintage item you're looking for hasn't been cheaply reproduced at Hobby Lobby, Cost Plus or Michael's. The facility still seems to be in development, so a couple notes for folks who may visit close to when I did, in September 2017. 1) The parking lot is a very rough gravel one. Drive slowly and walk carefully, there are ankle-turning rocks here if you wear heels. 2) One of the vendors was having serious issues taking credit cards, so having cash on hand might be a good idea. 3) If you check in on Yelp, there's a free drink offer available at the food trailer. However, there's no food trailer yet - just a well-run inside snack bar. They were kind enough to honor the offer for me, but do them a favor and wait until they get a vendor in before trying to use the coupon. In sum, a definite place to visit if the antique hunting bug strikes!

Makes a nice trip especially if you're looking for the refurbished stuff! I'm a vintage toy collector myself so most of the pictures I took reflect that.

Oh Wimberley! You give my city exhausted heart a rest…read more This is my 4th time coming to Wimberley Market Days - I think I've been coming from Houston every 3ish years since 2014. Not a fully seasoned market day gal but definitely not my first rodeo. First, Lions Club parking is now a $10 donation up from the $5 it used to be. There is one $5 lot but it's a cute walk. With shopping & an almost 4 year old kid, we opted for a close parking lot. There is something for everyone here. Vintage, garden art, pottery, freeze dried candy, jellies, hats, boots, hot wheels. There is even a donation only booth for a pet shelter/rescue. This is an open air market so weather is a huge factor here. Thankfully today was the first pre-fall cool front so the breeze & mid-80s awaited us! Bring your wagons/carts, coolers, fresh eyes & enjoy! Places like this remind me Texas is a beautiful place to live.

Arrive early as parking fills up fast! $5 fee to park at some of the lots and bring a wagon to tow all your purchased goodies. Maps are provided at the entrances and be prepared to browse hundreds of booths/vendors selling everything- you name it! Plants, antiques, books, food, home made decor, garden decor, etc. Concession stands throughout the market- selling BBQ, burgers, breakfast tacos, sandwiches, snacks, and drinks. This market is entirely run by friendly volunteers. Entertainment (live bands) are located at each stand. We ended up buying a beautiful plant (dessert rose), cute metal TX armadillo decor, a large metal round TX star art to place on a large stone in our front yard, an antique bike planter, and a large metal wind spinner. Drove through downtown Wimberley afterwards, but there was so much tourist traffic, that it was impossible to park. Looked like there were lovely restaurants along the river as well. Checking out downtown may have to be on a separate day. Cute cowboy boot statues are decorated throughout the city, great for a photo op. We look forward to attending market day once again in the future.
