We came here for the first time. The brother barbers were so nice. How cool is it that they have a mini red car for kids to sit in while they get a haircut. Never seen that before. Very great idea. Of course my lil man was scared of getting his haircut so he sat on dad's lap. Effy was really cool. He gave my son a lollipop to calm him and tons of naps to wipe away his tears. By the end of the haircut my son was playing in the car and eating his first lolly pop. Definitely will be taking my son here for future hair cuts. read more

Some young kid that looked like the owner's son gave me a haircut (Should've asked for his license). Tried to show him a picture, didn't really look at it, just looked like he didn't care. Took him 5 minutes to finish cutting my hair because he was going super fast and rough honestly (pushing my head around hard, digging the razor on my skin hard). Gave a $5 tip on top of the $30 they charge for regular haircut. The owner from like 2 seats away sitting down is complaining and said, "5 bucks isn't even enough for a coffee these days." Basically pressuring and forcing me to tip more like what??? Why would I tip more? Terrible service, didn't look at the picture I showed him, forgot I wanted to thin out the bulk, rushed the haircut and was rough on my head. The AUDACITY to ask for MORE tip. Was a good customer. High tipper, always paid cash. Sat in chair ready for a haircut and shave, draped and ready to go. A "Regular, or more Regular" customer walked in and the barber had the audacity to ask me to get up and give my chair to the Regular! I was astounded. I will never go back... i happened in on this place on saturday AM, they sat me in a chair when this messy haired young kid with a big apron/smock on approached me and says good morning, how short do you want it. i was like oh my goodness, i guess i'm the guinea pig, and told him not too short but whatever he does will be ok as my hair will grow back. this young kid gave me an AMAZING haircut that people are telling me is the best one i ever got. nice going kid! i would come back for sure. read more

The barber was cutting my hair super-quick while engaging in conversation with another customer. He didn't follow my very specific instructions on how I'd like the haircut. After he was done, in whopping 5 minutes, I gave him $3 tip. He hit me on the shoulder and insulted me while asking for more tip! The unmitigated gall in this guy... Worst experience of a barber shop in my life. Unprofessional and unethical people who will rudely ask you for a tip and tell you to go get cash from the atm next door. The haircut itself is average at best . Would not recommend this place or will ever go there again. read more

I wish I could give ZERO stars to this so called barber shop. After tipping one of the owners he got so nasty and complained in front of another customer saying he wasn't happy with the tip. As I was leaving, he called me a piece of SH&T. Now that's a great way to lose lots of customers!!I Stay away! Just a regular shop that charges SALON prices. They have a sign outside their establishment which claims to fix bad haircuts (from other places) BUT i had to take my son to another barber to fix the bad cut they gave my son. I called ahead asking how much kids cuts were and they said it started at $10. I get there and after my son's haircut that took 3 MINUTES, they charged $15. My other salon that they we normally go to charges $15 but she takes 20-25 minutes cutting my son's hair and looks great. We tried Fred's bc it was in our neighborhood and didn't have time to go to our regular place. NEVER again. EVER. read more

I usually go to another local barber, but there were some issues getting in there last night and I found this place. I got a cut with my son, 4, and this place was really great. We both got nice haircuts, very attentive service, and my son loved the car chair. Prices are competitive, just about the same you will pay anywhere else in the area ($34 for the two of us so probably $18 for mine and $16 for my son, I guess). Daniel is very friendly and wants you to leave happy. The store itself is great, it served as a barber shop for the last 80 some years so it's got a cool old-school vibe. read more

i have been going here for over 20 years, used to be freds shop, now danny and effi are running it. its one of the few places left where if there are only men in the store you can talk like men. they are good at what they do. i bring my son and daughter there now. its the only place my son feels comfortable getting his haircut. and they are reasonably priced too. highly recommended. read more
