This place is a total winner, with more rinks popping up like mushrooms, welcoming skaters of all levels to glide, spin, and show off their stuff. The snack bar crew is always super chill, serving up smiles with their snacks. Just a heads up for the ladies: steer clear of those hideous ice skating dresses they sell - my friend and I still LOL about how fashion-bomb they are...or not!

To boast three sheets of ice in modern day rinks is almost unheard of. These folks juggle that with no problem. All the ice here is expertly maintained. You'll always hear me bitch at the figure skaters for destroying the ice with toe picks and as such blowing-out the knees of unsuspecting hockey players. Not here. The magicians seem to anticipate this and react accordingly. Smooth sheets. Safe knees! There's a rather large parking area and you'll find quite the variety at the concession stand. Their main lobby also features plenty of bench seating and they have an ample meeting area. The bathrooms are decent but are at the rink ends, not off the main lobby. What few staff you deal with are fabulous and you can still visit Mrs. Jones and her top notch pro shop. While two of the arenas have more than enough bleacher space, the smaller rink needs more seating. That can't (or won't) be changed, sobeit. Costs obviously have increased due to Covid and its tentacles. They do have sophisticated aids and are still the goto for figure skating instruction. Competitive skaters/trainers from all over the world stop here to train. Did you know they have a physical therapy center on site? 06/21

I hadn't roller skated since I was 12 and now I'm a really confident skater. It's a great workout too! You won't get this kind of attention and instruction anywhere else. This place focuses on adult skaters, age 21 and older. The classes are small. I took a class for one hour on Sundays with the same 8 people and we kept building upon what we learned. Adjustments and modifications are available for people with injuries too. We had students of all ages in this class, from 30's to 70's and we could all do it and work at our level. This personalized type of class doesn't exist anywhere else. Also, on Wednesday nights at 8:30pm, you can come here and practice and skate for $10. (They have free parking available out front.) I had the good fortune to be taught by the owner, Keith. Keith is a spectacular skater and human being. He is kind, patient, funny, and an excellent teacher. He has truly built a supportive skating community and I'm honored to be a part of it. Keith offers a variety of classes and he is also working on new classes to offer. He's open to ideas and feedback too. I'll be taking a class on outdoor skating next, as well a workshop on backwards skating. Learning how to skate here was the best decision I've made in a long time. I highly recommend taking class and joining this awesome skating community!

They do lock-in skating events usually during holidays mostly. There are tables for the folks that aren't skating and they have Wi-Fi and a parent room that's quieter. Two seat high tables along the fence for the minor kids and a bunch of random couches by the main entrance. The parent room provides a bit of shelter from the constant noise of wheels rolling over metal plates at the top and bottom of a ramp. The interior is a big open warehouse. Fenced in for the skaters. Not fancy, but lots of different ramps for skateboarding, rollerblading or for razor scooters. My nephew wanted to try out every ramp to see which one was to his liking. Do bring a book, noise canceling headset and maybe a phone charger too. If you need snacks, Kroger is just across Stephenson and Penn Station subs just a half a mile away. They do have some snacks in the 3 vending machine. Probably a bit more fun coming with friends. My nephew felt a bit comfy after a half hour of getting the lay of the land. It can feel a bit chilly in the warehouse. My nephew said there's some fun ramps and runs, he was getting toasty running around some. Not me. He walks some and studies them ahead of skating to see what's on the other side to make sure there aren't any stairs on the other side of a ramp. My nephew likes the two half circle ramp with the flat landing in between. He also enjoyed the bowl, which has a slope to enter it.
